I heard a magnitude of gasps from the crowd. I saw the expressions. Terror, fear, surprise, and the beginnings of hatred. I cowered underneath them.

In my time I had left to be free of my family curse, lost all my blood family, gained a new family, lost them for good, and gained a new sort of curse. I really can't escape the fate of curses can I?

"That's the truth Chikako. While I didn't kill her, she died protecting me and to seal the Sanbi so nobody would get hurt." I told her While that may make me a monster... I believe that you should know the truth, I did not kill Chikako."

"Come on Himawari!" I heard my teammate Naruto once again scream.

I was finally close enough to my sword Nadare to grab it. I don't know how she was going to react, so I got in my fighting position. Wether or not I wanted to fight Chikako, I wanted to win. I've never won against her before, but this time I wanted to.

"If Takara and I had never met you, she'd still be alive." Chikako muttered making a few hand signs.

"You can't know that." I replied. "I know that she wouldn't have died there, and I'm sad that she did, but we can't know. Chikako, don't live like this." I used the coral to completely immobilize Chikako's Tiger puppet Fukushū.

She was done with her hand signs and two puppets were summoned. They were much smaller and shaped like twin leopard. They looked nimbler but not as strong as the tiger.

"Don't live like what?" She asked making one leopard dart forward.

I dashed to the left and started some hand signs. Chikako isn't skilled at controlling more than one puppet. Otherwise, she could have sent one from behind and gotten me.

"Water Style: Water floor!" This was a very simple jutsu. It put an inch of water across the area floor. Now I could sense her and her puppet as long she was touching the water. My attacks could also be more versatile this way. Alright, her two puppet are to the side of her.

"Water Style: Water Whip!" Water whips started forming in a circle around us. I sprinted with all my speed at Chikako. She tried using her puppet, but my whips grabbed them and threw them aside. With the puppets out of the way I charged at Chikako taking her to the ground.

"Well, why don't you finish me?" My sword was at her throat once again. "Cause if you don't I'll just come back stronger."

"Don't live for revenge, Chikako. I've seen what that does to people." I commented in a forlorn voice.

"What would you know!" She shouted at me glaring. She must not have lost focus all the way with one of her puppets because I felt I sudden pain in my lower back. I ignored the pain and forced my sword closer.

"I know that Takara wouldn't have wanted this." I said noticing she was stunned. Blood trickled from my mouth and I could feel it drip onto Chikako. "I was wrong in not staying with you, and not trying to explain. I was wrong, but I know she wouldn't want this for you."

Her eyes looked anxious as she started moving her hand up.

"I... Forfeit." A gasp resounded in the crowd. I had almost forgotten they were there. "Don't think I have forgiven you, I just don't want to fight any longer."

I got up off her and sighed. I watched her stand up and I gave her a content smile. It may not have been much, but I feel like I somehow changed her if only a little bit. Hopefully we could become friends.

"Winner, Himawari Hyuuga!"

I looked around the stadium suddenly feeling small as it started spinning. Ah, whatever is in my gut must have had poison in it. I saw Shikamaru and Hoshi in the stands. As the world faded to black I gave them a small smile, and then I fell forward.

"Himawari!"

"Hima-Chan!"

"Ri-née!"

"Hiro!"

People screamed at me and I heard footsteps rushing towards me. That last one must have been Chikako, I suppose that'll be my true name for her.

My eyes groggily opened to see a tan stone ceiling. Not a hospital with its white interior, so where was I then?

I was on my stomach and I could see a man next to me. Quickly, I reached for my weapons but felt nothing.

"Relax, I'm an ANBU. I just treated your wounds." I decided to trust him for the moment as he did heal me. "I'm here to evacuate you to a safer location. Konoha is being invaded."

An attack!? Who attacked us? I still didn't feel all that great, so I knew that if I was attacked in this state it could go badly.

"Who's attacking?" I asked grabbing my things.

"The Sand Village and the Sound teamed up together." He informed me. "We better get a move on."

I followed him reluctantly as he lead me up the stairs and into one of the hallways in the coliseum. I could hear the chaos on the other side of the door. That way lead to the arena. I stopped following the anbu and shoved through.

Deep inside I knew that something bad was going to happen today, and I needed to do everything in my power to help. Kakashi! And Gai! They are fighting against some enemy ninja. Many of the people in here are asleep, and most likely in danger. Shouldn't the anbu be evacuating them!

I was just in time to see Gai throw a guy threw the wall making a hole. Next to Kakashi, I could see Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru. Oh thank goodness they were okay. I jumped down to them avoiding the enemy ninja's Shuriken.

"Himawari, I don't have time for chitchat right now, but join them in pursuit of Sasuke they'll explain." Kakashi ordered.

"Of course sensei." I nodded my head and jumped out the hole in the wall that Gai had caused earlier. "Alright, fill me in."
