Chapter 26: Kimono shopping and the Busty Tea Lady

The picture above is what Maya looks like. I don't own this picture. Merry late Christmas! I am 15, yay! I meant to update on that day, but "Warfstache don't take no shit from anybody." (If you get that reference I love you) actually I was busy studying.

I don't know why I'm doing this. I should have jut not shown up. Any normal person wouldn't have, but I suppose I'm not normal. Instead of sleeping and lazing about I have to listen to these two girls bicker.

"Why did you bring that egg?" Sakura asked with narrowed eyes.

"I need to know when it hatches. I can't just leave it alone." I responded in a duh tone.

"We need to get you and Shikamaru together!" Ino yelled in a excited tone. "But how..."

"We should probably get them alone and Shikamaru could ask her out there." Sakura replied.

"I don't know if he would take the initiative."

"So should Hima-chan ask him out?"

"No she won't admit it."

"Oh what if we-"

"Stop talking about me as if I'm not here!!" I yelled irritated. "Besides I can't go to the festival because I don't have anything to wear."

They looked at me as if that was the weirdest thing they ever heard. 'How does a girl not have something to wear?' I bet they were thinking that.

"That's no good!" Sakura yelled. Sakura and Ino looked at each other and nodded. "We're going shopping!"

"Ehh!!!" I shouted in response. "There's no way I'm going shopping."

"How did I let them talk me into this..." I muttered under my breath.

Sakura and Ino were making me try on many kimonos, like one after another. However they couldn't agree on any for some inane reasons. Sakura liked pink or red one, conversely Ino liked purple ones. Me? I didn't really care. Those colors didn't suit me anyway.

If I had to choose one, I'd preferably like white, but I decided against it for obvious reasons.
1. It would stain easier
2. It's hard to find
3. It would look to much... Like a wedding gown

I had probably tried on around 40 or so Kimonos, but they just wouldn't "work." For many reasons. Either Ino or Sakura wouldn't like it, and In the occasion they did I didn't like it. Not to mention that some of those outfits mortified me.

"What color would you prefer?" Ino asked with an irritated voice. She was starting to realize that this may have been a mistake.

"Your asking me? I mean what I want?" I asked in a sarcastically surprised tone.  "Hm... How about this one. I've been eyeing it for a while."

"But it's black!" Sakura squawked. They had been avoiding the black ones as they didn't like the color.

It may have been black but I thought it was pretty. It had red floral patterns in the sleeves and edges. There was a golden sash around it which was fascinating. This is the one I was going to get.

"I suppose if you like it." They agreed. "But try it on first!"

"Alright. Wether or not you like it I'm still getting it." I conceded walking into the dressing room.

When I walked out Ino and Sakura immediately surrounded me. They patted it down thinking to themselves. Suddenly after about five minutes of this, they nodded at one another.

"You look pretty." Sakura smiled.

"You really do. I'm just mad I didn't find it first." Ino grinned.

Ino and Sakura had left. They said they had something important to do and I thank them for it later, but I doubt it. Those two getting along to accomplish something, means there probably up to no good. No. Not probably. 100% most definitely.

Suddenly, I felt the egg shake. It wasn't much, but it took me off guard. I could tell that it would hatch today or tomorrow. I hope it's today.

"If it's today it'll give me an excuse not be at the festival." I muttered to myself praying for it to hatch today.

The sun was ever so bright. It was around noon, so I have plenty of time to kill. I just started walking around when I saw Naruto sitting on a bench. He looked dejected. I quietly sat next to him.

"Naruto-kun?" I asked a bit timidly. "Are you alright?"

"Huh?" He jumped in surprise. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Don't lie. Your usually emit elation. Now tell me." I commanded with a soft tone.

"Sakura won't go with me to the festival. All she cares about is Sasuke-kun." Naruto replied with a tone of jealously.

This could be my chance. I'm not usually one to meddle in these sorts of affairs, but for my nee-Chan I will. After all, she does have a crush on this one.

"Ya know, if Sakura doesn't want to be with you then you deserve somebody better. You shouldn't be hung up on a girl whose eyes refuse to listen to words, and only value looks." I said trying to console him. "Besides I know somebody who'd suite you better."

"Eh? Who?" Naruto jumped up. Hook.

"Oh no. I shouldn't have said anything. Now she'll be mad at me." I covered my mouth to act as if I wouldn't say more.

"No! No, tell me. Please." Naruto said with a slight begging tone. Line.

"Oh, I dunno. Promise you won't say who you heard it from?" I asked.

"Promise." He put his pinky up. Sinker.

"Alright, then." I hushed my voice slightly. "Hinata nee-chan. She's too shy to say anything, but if you ask she's guaranteed to say yes, or well she might pass out."

"Really? She likes me? I never noticed." He had a thinking look on his face. "Her face was always red when I saw her."

"You don't have to ask her if you don't want to!" I shouted before getting a sly tone. "You could always run it in Sasuke's face. A girl said yes to you genuinely."

"Your right!" That pumped him up. "I'll see you later. I've got to go see Hinata-chan. Wait where is she?"

"She should still be in the compound resting." I replied, realizing how Neji was there and wouldn't like it if Naruto was there. Seeing as what I heard happened between them. Naruto got ready to run in that direction. "Naruto?"

"Yeah?" He piped turning around.

"I recommend you avoid my clan members." I started worriedly. 'Why if Neji saw him?'

"How would I do that?" Naruto questioned.

"You can't tell anybody about this, but..." I trailed off. Naruto stuck his pinky out. "Go to the north side of the main Hyuga compound. You will see a tree with a large hollow in it. Climb down into in and there will be a trapdoor. This trapdoor has a tunnel that leads into my room. You will have to lift up the tatami mat. From there Hinata's room is next to mine. Don't get caught in between then, okay?"

"Alright, large hollow... Tunnel.. Tatami mat... Got it." He mumbled. "Why do you have a tunnel like that in the first place?"

"I-I used t-to sneak out t-to see..." My face was hot. Naruto got the picture. He figured out on his own that I snuck out to see Sasuke when we were young.

Suddenly, Naruto's face got mischievous. As if he remembered something.

"Alright, I won't say anything about this secret tunnel as long as the reason you use it is to see Shika-kun." Naruto started to laugh before running away.

My face was hot again. I could tell if anybody were to see they'd know I was blushing. I'm sure my face was scarlet. Probably redder than a strawberry.

I was walking without a destination. I kinda just drifted, until I got to a run down tea shop called the 'Jasmine Dragon.' (Reference) I entered and sat next to the window.

"Hello miss. I'm Maya your waiter. What would a cute girl like yourself want?" A girl asked winking. She looked about a year or so older than me. Maya black hair was in a completely messy bun, and her emerald eyes were quite piercing. Not to mention, her busty chest. She stared at the egg I was holding for a few seconds.

"Huh? I would like some Ginseng tea and a stick of dango." I ordered.

"Ginseng, huh? Not many people order that one. The only person who ever gets that is... " She looked at the man in the other corner. "Coming right up miss." She swayed her hips as she left.

When she left I got a good look around the place. There was only one other person here. It was an old man.

However, my observations were put to a halt when the lady came back. She set the tea down carefully as to not spill it.

"Out of all the tea shops in Konoha, why did you come to this run down shop?" She inquired sitting across from me.

"Hm.... That'd be... I guess I was just thinking and ended up here. I'm sure if my grandfather found out I was here..." I laughed.

"I take it that he is a 'high class' citizen." She grinned putting air quotes on her words.

"Yeah." I agreed sticking the dango in my mouth.

"If I may ask? The egg? Is there a reason you have such a huge one?" May questioned.

"I'm going to raise it. It's going to be my partner." I replied caressing it gently.

"I pegged you for a ninja. Why are you alone? I'm sure girls are preparing for the festival." Maya asked.

"My friends are, but I don't much care." I rolled my eyes.

"Oh!" She laughed. "Your boy hasn't asked you out yet?"

"W-what?!" I exclaimed my face once again a bright crimson. "N-no!"

"Your that type of couple are you." She just kept that wide grin on her face. "A girl who'll deny her love and a boy who can't ask her out. You need help don't you."

"I-I'm fine t-thank you." I reached into my pocket and brought the money out. "Keep the change."

"Thank you come again. You should ask him out by the way." It seemed that grin was etched into stone.

"B-bye." I stuttered leaving the shop. "Hyahh." I yawned.

"Nee-chan?" I heard.

"Hinata?" I looked at her. She seemed ecstatic. "Are you alright?"

"Thank you!" She yelled before hugging me tightly. "Naruto and I are going to the festival together."

"That's great!" I laughed. So Naruto did it.

"And in return for this. I'm going to help you." Hinata started dragging me swiftly.

"Where are we going?" I asked startled.

"Orders, nee-chan." If it was anybody but my sister than I wouldn't have let them drag me like this.

We eventually got to this open area. There were lots of hills and there were trees surrounding the space. Overall it looked like a pretty tranquil spot. However, orders probably meant something was going on.

"Alright. What are we doing here?" I asked giving a skeptical look.

"Go over there." She pointed to hill that had a large tree atop it. "See ya."

Hills. Orders. Sakura. Ino. "You'll thank us later." How much do I want to bet that... Shika-kun is over there... All of it. I slowly walked over there, and surely enough he was there laying there looking at the sky.

"Hello, Shika-kun?" I did it again.
