February 14 1980

A Year has passed and things are starting to go well for Carrie and Alex. The Town was rebuild from the destruction and everything was back in peace in the town. Carrie and Alex's bond are stronger than before and they're always there for each other. Jack who is Alex's father also stopped troubling them as they were glad their problems are ending.

However around September, Carrie's mother Margaret wanted Carrie to come back to her house but she refused to listen to her and since then Margaret also stopped troubling them.

However two weeks later, Sue came to visit them and she told them that she knew what happened at the auditorium because she witnessed it all but she didn't tell anyone about what Carrie did as Carrie sighed in relief and Sue even told them to take care of themselves and hoped that everything will be alright with them in the future.

Right now Alex and Carrie were at the cafe doing their part time jobs as they were done with their shift and left the cafe. Alex fixed some of the tables as he exited the cafe until he saw Carrie staring at him.

Carrie smiled at him as Alex smiled at her back as both of them were walking through the streets of Chamberlain as they were walking past some civilians as they began talking.

Alex: Do you want ice cream?

Carrie: Sure, I would like some ice cream.

Alex nodded as Carrie was staring at him as both of them continued walking until Alex was holding Carrie's hand as she smiled at him as they continued walking while holding each other's hands.

Carrie and Alex made it an ice cream shop as they entered the shop and saw many civilians talking to each other while others were sitting by their tables eating ice cream.

They stood by a line as Carrie and Alex were talking to each other as they were waiting to order ice cream for themselves.

After Five minutes, They ordered ice cream for themselves as they continued talking to each other until they got the ice cream as Alex paid for them and both of them left the shop while eating some ice cream.

Carrie: The ice cream is amazing.

Alex: Your right about that.

Carrie began laughing at Alex as he was looking at her as he was confused until Carrie smiled at him and wiped the ice cream off his cheek as Alex smiled at her.

Both of them continued walking while eating ice cream until they heard someone calling their names as they turned around and saw Laura, Daniel and Sue walking towards them as they greeted them.

Laura: Hey Guys, Its good to see you.

Carrie: It's good to see you too. How are you all?

Sue: I'm alright.

Daniel: Same here and how are you Alex?

Alex: I'm doing alright.

Daniel: That's nice to hear. Right now we're going to the park. Wanna join us?

Carrie: Sure we'll join you.

Laura: Then Let's go everyone!

Everyone nodded as they began making their way to the park while talking to each other about their day and more. The Group eventually made it to the park as Daniel and Alex went to get some snacks from the vendors while Carrie, Sue and Laura were talking to each other.

Laura: So Carrie, How are you and Alex?

Carrie: We're doing alright and everything has been peaceful for one year now. I'm really happy to be with him.

Sue: That's amazing to hear Carrie.

Laura: I'm glad everything is going well for you guys.

Carrie: Thank you.

Laura: I have a question, Has anyone been bothering you two?

Carrie: Well Last year Alex's father came into the house and caused trouble but Alex kicked him out and told him to never come back. He hasn't came back since the incident.

Sue: That's good, His father was a jerk anyways and he didn't love Alex.

Laura: That's right. What about your mother Carrie? You did told us everything about what your mother has done.

Carrie: She only visited once asking me to come back but I refuse to come back and since then she hasn't been bothering us.

Sue: I see but at least there is no trouble anymore.

Carrie: That's right.

Laura: Indeed.

Meanwhile Alex and Daniel were getting some popcorn as they were talking to each other.

Daniel: I'm glad there is no trouble brother.

Alex: Thanks man, For the first time I'm actually in peace.

Daniel: Indeed.

Alex: Also I'm gonna tell Carrie something.

Daniel: What is it?

Alex: It's a surprise.

Daniel: Oh I see bro

Alex nodded as he grabbed the popcorn as Daniel brought some soda as they went back to the park and saw the group talking to each other. Daniel gave Laura a soda as she smiled at him and kissed him the cheek as everyone smiled at them.

The Group noticed Carrie and Alex were drinking soda as she rested her head on his shoulder as everyone smiled at them.

Carrie was resting her head on Alex's shoulder as he smiled at her as he was holding her hand until he kissed her hand as she smiled at him.

Alex: Hey I gotta tell you something.

Carrie: What is it?

Alex got up as Carrie also got up as they continued walking through the park as the others were watching them. Eventually Alex and Carrie stood by the bench as they were talking to each other.

Alex: Carrie. . . . Ever since I met you, You mean the whole world to me.

Carrie smiled at him as he was looking at her as he continued talking to her.

Alex: My days always starts with thoughts of you and end the same way.

She had a huge smile on her face as she was even blushing as Alex was holding her hand and spoke to her.

Alex: I always protect you and I will always be there for you.

Carrie: Alex. . . I'm forever grateful for the happiness and joy you brought into my life.

Alex smiled at her as Carrie was smiling at him until he said something.

Alex: Carrie White. . . .

She was staring at him as Alex got down on one knee as he spoke to her.

Alex: Will you marry me?

Carrie was shocked by what Alex said as she was in tears as she had a huge smile on her face.

Carrie: Yes!

The Group saw the proposal as they were happy by what they saw as Alex put the ring on Carrie's finger as she had a huge smile on her face before she hugged Alex tightly as he hugged her back as he was spinning her around.

The Group smiled at them as they were happy at them as Carrie was smiling at Alex and kissed his cheek as she said something to him.

Carrie: I love you Alex.

Alex: I love you too.

The Wedding happened on March 3rd with Daniel being Alex's best man and Sue and Laura being there for Carrie. The Couple were happy with each other and their bond was now unbreakable.

Alex and Carrie moved to Stovington where Alex is a English teacher while Carrie is a science teacher.

Carrie and Alex were at their apartment watching some movies until they drifted to sleep while holding each others hands.
