' ... trust that her family has been notified. I ask you to respect their privacy, and that of Miss Finch's beloved friends, in this time of grief. And out of respect for Miss Finch's memory, I will share with you all of what I truthfully know of her death. 

Miss Persephone Finch was found in the fourth-floor girl's lavatory by the sinks, with a wound akin to the slash of a sword. Her pet was her only company when Professor McGonagall arrived. We, the staff and I, have contacted St. Mungo's, but they have not been able to decipher whether Miss Finch passed from a Muggle or magical weapon. 

Miss Finch was much beloved, with every teacher commending her spirit, curiousity, and loving nature. I urge any student with knowledge of any peculiar behavior, or any information at all, to come forward. A great horror has occured within the walls of this castle, and we will take further precautions. 

Lastly, I plead with you all, that tonight, as you lay upon your beds, blood beating in your hearts and your minds bright with thought, that you honor her. Honor Miss Finch's memory, in every step you take, every word you speak. For she graced Hogwarts, and all of our lives, as a true gift-- gifted with kindness, and with no favor nor transaction expected in return. Good night. '

notes. i say this in all of my fics because it stands true. my ocs are flawed. i like to think i put a drop of myself in each of them, and i am certainly not perfect. they will make mistakes, some insignificant and some significant. that being said, please refrain from commenting hate on any of my ocs. they are mine, and i've put a lot of love and time into them. they will take time, sometimes a lot of time (depending on the character) to overcome their incorrect beliefs, just know that THEY WILL GROW. absolutely, you can hate something they do, but i will not stand for hate comments on my characters, especially not internally misogynistic or slut-shaming comments on my ocs that identify as female.

adding on to the above, although i do seek help for this story among my friends on this platform and others, this story is largely tailored from my perspective. my own experiences will be reflected in this book. yes, this may be drastically different from what you have been through, but everyone sees and processes things differently. feel free to correct me if my interpretation of some of these issues may be wrong, but please be polite. i accept constructive criticism, but nothing beyond that degree. 

this story is a fast burn, vague-ish romance, and will include both kathleen and regulus's povs in the same chapter, with the differentiation being their lines on different sides of the page. however, it will be mostly kathleen, though the rules of povs will be blurred. the romance is more of the b plot, the a plot is persephone's murder.

i will be molding canon to white rabbit, not white rabbit to canon. some information, such as the timelines of the black family and prewett family, will be changed for the sake of the story.

also also! please don't refer to kitty/kathleen or my other ocs as yourselves. comments with 'we' and other person-story projection words, although they may have been given with well intent, i do not appreciate as this is NOT A SELF-INSERT. kitty's character and other aspects of her life i create have been purposefully made to be different from yours!
