Her mother was dead and the herd had left them behind knowing how weak they were. White Oak barely got to her in time before bringing her back to the stable. She was always scared but would never hurt anyone or kick out. She'd just stand there, eyes wide open, petrified. But now, she's a changed horse from that little filly. She's grown very trusting of everyone and likes to meet new horses. She's laid back and easy to ride. Perfect for any type of rider.

We were told by her previous owner and her daughter that the horse wasn't for them and they wanted to sell her. They bought her, being told she was a dressage horse but turned out to not be. We bought her straight off and decided to try different things with her. That was until we found out she was made for trick riding. She's still in training, perfect for a rider in training themselves who can learn with her.

Barn Name: Indie
Age: 6
Gender: Mare
Speciality:
Dam: Unknown
Sire: Unknown
Offspring: One In A Million
Owner: White Oak
Rider: Louis
Trainer:
Riding: Yes
Brood: No
Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Laid Back, Easy Going
Background: Indie used to be part of a herd out in the wild when she was born but she never enjoyed the constant moving and fear. When horse tamers came along and took her along with several other foals, she was frightened but also curious. She was one who always stood out from the other foals. They always kicked out against the humans but Indie liked to play with them all and spend time with them. That's how she's become so gentle and laid back. As she got older, she caught the attention of White Oak when she was only a year old at a wild horse auction. No, she may not have been very lively or wild, but that's exactly why we bought her. We were the only ones to bid on the tamed mare. She's what we needed as a stable horse and we were what she needed as a home. This is where we covered her as a one-off with Knight In Shining Armour, provision us with One In A Million.

Offspring: Expecting with A Thousand Years
Owner: White Oak
Rider: Luna
Trainer:
Riding: Yes
Brood: Yes
Personality: Spirited, Proud, Quick, Competitive, Daring
Background: Savvy was saved off the meat truck with some of the others. She looked so frail but her coat definitely stood out and we knew that if we saved her, she'd be an eye catcher. She held her head high the whole time she was heading to the slaughtered house. We knew she had spirit. We also knew she would be a great asset to White Oak. We never left any horses on that truck. The whole time we worked with her, Savvy kept her spirit and that's why we named her what we did. She acted a little savage against some of us to begin with but she honestly does have a big heart to make up for it. We just need to find out how to get to it.

Speciality: Trick Riding
Dam: Unknown
Sire: Unknown
Offspring: None
Owner: White Oak
Rider: Louis
Trainer:
Riding: Yes
Brood: No
Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Gentle, Obedient
Background: Dew was found by a call out of someone being suspicious of someone else's shed. Inside, a young filly was found cold and frail. She must've been only a year old. Her coat was covered in muck. She was taken to a centre to be rehabilitated and brought back to health until White Oak stepped in. They saw the gorgeous little filly and offered to take her in. We did and we are very glad of doing so, never regretting our decision. It took a long time for her to trust anyone after that but we worked with her for a very long time and now she couldn't be happier or healthier. She's so gentle and loving and loves to go out on hacks. She's the sweetest.

Age: 5
Gender: Mare
Speciality: Show Jumping
Dam: Unknown
Sire: Unknown
Offspring: None
Owner: White Oak
Rider: Luna
Trainer:
Riding: Yes
Brood: No
Personality: Proud, Competitive, Willing, Daring, Friendly
Background: Eclipse was found at a previous horse show in which a few of White Oak's horses took part in. She had small red marks across her right flank and a closer look showed it was from whip lashes. An animal emergency truck showed up after a call and inspected the horse. The rider explained the horse was out of control but the way the mare stood there, it was clear she wasn't. She may be proud and not always gentle but she'd never purposefully hurt anything. They took Eclipse from the girl and she stormed off back to her rich parents until she was told she'd never be allowed another animal, never mind a horse. White Oak stopped the Animal Emergency from taking Eclipse and saw how amazing she was. After all, she won first place. White Oak took her in and spent a lot of time, working with her to show she had her own mind. Nobody is ever allowed to take a whip near her.

Sire: Unknown
Offspring: None
Owner: White Oak
Rider: Luna
Trainer:
Riding: Yes

Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Quick, Calm
Background: Summer was found in an abandoned field with Beach Waves. They had obviously eaten nothing except any grass they could find. Their water trough was filled with dirt and leaves but the mares were still forced to drink it or they'd never survive. They'd grown rather skinny and you could see their rib cages and spines. It was clear nobody had been there for a good few months. White Oak got a call, asking if they had room for two more mares in which they gladly accepted. They took one look at Summer's condition and decided she needed quick attention. She had a weird illness which had her saliva turn green and her eyes were bloodshot. White Oak acted fast and finally managed to get rid of the illness and reunited the mare with her friend. Summer and Beach Waves are still inseparable and do Roman riding together.

Her new owner didn't ride her much so also had to give her up. This left Foxy to have to move to her third home, which would be her final. When Foxy joined White Oak and started to be ridden, she showed off more because she was finally happy at these stables. She wasn't giving up her chance of a happy home.

Offspring: None
Owner: White Oak
Rider: Louis

Personality: Friendly, Outgoing, Willing
Background: Light was spotted at the side of a busy road, fearing for her life. Her rare coat couldn't be properly seen over all the dirt that stuck to it. A White Oak horse truck was heading back from a show when they spotted her. Only one horse was in the two horse trailer so we knew we had to do something. It was as if Light was just waiting for us as we walked over to her cautiously. She happily went into the back of the trailer, aged two, and we brought her back here. We took her into a stable and began working with her, wondering where she came from. Without anyone contacting anywhere about their missing horse, White Oak decided to claim her as ours. We have trained her in show jumping these past two years and it has paid off pretty well. She is a born jumper, clearing most fences with room to spare. Her spirit will never die down. She wanted to be taken that day and we bet she's glad she was.

It was clear nobody had been there for a good few months. White Oak got a call, asking if they had room for two more mares in which they gladly accepted. Beach was in better condition than Dancing Summer Sun so she was taken right into the barn and brought back to health over the course of a few weeks. When Dancing Summer Sun got taken away from Beach the day they were rescued, she thought there was no hope for their friendship. But when her best friend returned, they stuck together. Beach never wanted to be alone like that again.

Speciality: Show Jumping
Dam: Unknown
Sire: Unknown
Offspring: None
Owner: Luna
Rider: Luna
Trainer:
Riding: Yes
Brood: Yes
Personality: Gentle, Friendly, Easy Going, Competitive
Background: Satellite was brought to us as a one year old. She could barely hold herself up and when we heard her story, we were heartbroken. Her mother was mauled to death by some kind of large creature out in the forest while her father tried to defend them, ending up with him dying with his mate. Satellite watched this happen and barely got away herself, only to bump into humans. She didn't have a choice, she had to choose to go through the humans. They chased after her, bringing her down with ropes and tying her up. These weren't regular humans, they were wild horse hunters... White Oak heard of the disaster and went to see how the filly was. She was covered in whip lashes and she was taken away straight away. It took so long to earn Satellite's trust and even the slightest pain inflicted on her means going back to square one. She trusts us, that's all that matters now. We must keep that trust and bond between human and horse.

Personality: Quick, Stealthy, Easy Going, Willing
Background: Star was very sweet and gentle the moment we met her. She was standing there at a fair ground, all done up and waiting for kids to ride her. Every time a kid got on her, they kicked her too rough or gave her the wrong signals which messed with her mind. One of our workers went over to say hi and her eyes literally begged us to take her away from this misery. The owner explained they didn't have enough money and resorted to doing this. White Oak offered a very large sum for Star and the owner accepted straight off and said his goodbyes to his loving mare before he left ever so gratefully. Star unwillingly left her old owner but was instantly happy when she found older people would be riding her and we gave her what she needed. She's never looked happier.

Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Playful, Laid Back

As soon as they laid eyes on Mountain Dew, we knew they had a connection. We later found out they were all sisters. We tried everything to get Frost and Blue Ivy to work together in Roman riding, but it wasn't for them. As we explained this to the stable, they also explained to us they didn't need dressage horses. Their stable was only for trick riding horses or Roman riding horses. They then offered to buy Mountain Dew, but they'd all just found each other and we politely declined. The stable basically declared war on us, but we still paid for Blue Ivy and Frost.

She has a special gift, you just need to find it. Look deep within and you'll see - which made us so confused. But we took her straight into a nice stable and warmed her up. She was being used in a horse magazine and her unique coat had her price sailing high above budget but White Oak wasn't giving in there. We saw potential. Dressage potential. We bought her and with the amount of shows she's one, she's certainly paid off. We hope with a little more training and experience she'll make it to the Olympics. This much promise as such a young age is just what we needed.
