Chapter 7: Surprise, and Shock.
Liam tossed and turned in his bed. He couldn't really get to sleep. Light was shining through the door again. That meant it was about daytime anyway. He sat up and stretched out. He was really stiff from just laying in bed without sleeping. He felt like waking Airy up, but quickly decided against it. It was too early for that. He sat up from his bed and dusts the straw from his fabric.
He looked towards the door, he got up and quietly strolled towards the door. deciding to go for a walk. He sighs, breathing in the damp morning air. A light mist cloaked the forest it was also pretty cold. Not freezing, but cold. He walked into the small forest near the house. There wasn't much here but trees and the occasional empty bush. The grass and leaves rustled beneath his feet as he stepped on them. The sky was a bright yellow with minimal clouds. It was a nice warm colour. Some light poured through the leaves creating a nice effect visually on the mist.
The ground had small specks of autumn leaves. He put out his hands and let the leaves from the bushes lightly hit his fingers. The beautiful shade of green that the plants and trees gave was breath taking. Liam eventually hit the cliff side and walked along the natural stone wall. He saw some of the mist drifting below due to the incline in the small valley their house had been situated in. He drags his feet along the ground letting the leaves pull along with him. Liam watched as some of the orange and yellow tinted leaves from the trees drift to the ground from the morning breeze.
Though his walk had to be cut short from the yelling and calls from Airy. Liam walked back through the forest, limping because of his bad leg. It still hurt, but it was bearable, though it was a bit irritated because of his walk. He reached the clearing in the trees where the house was. Airy quickly turned and breathed a sigh of relief. Not mad at Liam, Airy was just worried he was gone. Or worried he had gotten hurt, something along the lines of that anyway. Liam walked up to Airy.
"Sorry I left without telling you." Liam started, he then began rubbing the back of his head. "I didn't want to wake you..." He said apologetically.
"It's fine... uh... I thought you left, or something. Haha." The Airy mumbled. Shuffling in the grass a bit.
Liam laughed. "Why would I leave? That doesn't make any sense!" He chuckled, leaning against the house for support.
"I guess..." Airy turned back to go inside the house. "You can go back to what you were doing... if you wanted."
"No, It's fine." Liam answered, as he followed Airy inside. "My leg is sore anyway." Liam said, sitting in the chair.
"Are you sure...? I could... make you some... crutches." Airy suggested, looking towards Liam while grabbing some food he had collected in a basket.
"Don't bother, I'll be better in a few weeks anyways." Liam said raising his hand, gesturing for Airy to stop. "It's not worth the trouble. I'll be fine."
"But... I..." Airy sighed in defeat. "Alright..." Airy threw a couple berries in his mouth, sitting on the edge of his bed.
"So, you said you had something planned today?" Liam asked, leaning on his fist against the table.
"Oh yeah..." Airy mumbled looking up from the basket. "We can... Go later. Haha." Airy smiled. "You should eat something first though."
"Heh, Yeah. I am a bit hungry." Liam leaned forwards resting his hand on his knee now. Laughing a bit.
"Well... You can have the rest, of these." Airy passed the basket to Liam. Then stood up. "I'll go get some more..."
"Alright!" Liam replied happily, taking the basket.
Airy nodded, stepping out of the house and wandering off into the mist. Liam sighed happily eating the berries. He eventually finished them and placed the basket to the side. Airy still hadn't returned. That was odd... Liam stood up, briefly stretching, and being careful to not hurt his leg. Liam strolled towards the door, walking out into the clearing. The mist had mostly cleared due to the fact that it was warming up now. The sky had also turned it's natural bright blue colour, and the sun was shining just over top of the tree cover too.
Liam walked out, looking around for Airy. He can't seem to find him though... It wasn't even that foggy anymore. Where could he have gone? Did Airy get hurt or something? Liam felt anxiety pick at him from the inside. Worried about where he could have gone. He was just about to start yelling when he ran forward and, wasn't standing in grass anymore. In fact, he wasn't even in the clearing anymore. He was in a... field? He could see himself and somebody else. They seemed happy but, the other person was blurry.
"H-hello?" Liam called. No reply, they both just sat there talking about something but. He couldn't hear what. The other person with Liam the faint muffled sound of thier voice was familiar. The figure had a reddish tint. Their voices sounded like the conversation was taking place underwater or through a water fall.
It was weird, like a dream almost. But not really? Liam walked towards them reaching his hand out. "Hello? Why... Why is—." The scene around him began to fad as Liam was cut off by a hand reaching out and pulling him backwards. He jumped and spun around. He was back in the forest. Airy's hand tightly grasped his shoulder. He had a worried glare on his face.
"Are you okay...?" He asked checking Liam for Injuries. "You were talking to... No one..." It was almost like you were hallucinating. Airy shifted nervously in place, and was genuinely worried.
Liam tried to think back on what he saw. But got a splitting headache instead, before quickly deciding against it. It just wasn't worth the trouble. "Yeah I'm fine..." Liam muttered limping back towards the house. "I just was looking for you...! Haha." His voice nearly cracked because of the splitting pain in his head.
"Oh..." Airy paused looking to the side. Feeling bad for worrying Liam. "Sorry I made you eat so long..." He mumbled in his usual monotone voice.
"It's fine. Don't worry about me." Liam said trying to make it sound like he was perfectly okay. "Let's just go." He chimed.
"Hahah... alright." Airy gave a warm smile. He picked up the berries he had just collected and hauled them over inside the house. Liam was already sitting on his bed that was situated on the floor. Because there wasn't much room in this shack-like house. He sat down on the chair. Then Airy grabbed a handful of berries before speaking up. "I'll teach you how to... hunt tomorrow... If your up to it..." Airy commented, politely eating his berries.
"Really? So like, what kind of hunting?" Liam asks leaning forward. Interested, and excited at the thought of something other then berries.
"Fishing...? It's the easiest... But... uh... I could teach you how to catch birds... and maybe rabbits... with snares. And stuff like that." He says finishing his meal.
"Really? Sounds fun!" Liam happily cheered. Standing up. "Now that your finished... Can we go see that thing wanted to show me?" Liam asked. "Please?" He added, politely.
Airy sighed, smiling and slightly shaking his head before standing up from the chair. "I suppose..."
"Yes!" Liam called out excitedly. Shooting up from his bed on the floor. Similar to a child.
They walked out of the house, and Airy and Liam slowly made there way into the cave Airy's Computer was set up in.

Bryce had woken up a while ago. Everyone else still asleep. He was sitting under the same bush, not bothering to move. He was pretty tired but didn't really care. Bryce quickly took in the view which was all the same as it was yesterday. The same... boring... old... Field. He groaned in annoyance. Unable to do much, he was incredibly bored.
Bryce was pondering going back to sleep while he still had the chance. But decided not to. He wasn't getting back to sleep in this state anyway. He laid back resting his head on the bush. Even though everything looked normal, something felt off. Like something really bad was about to Happen, but... He didn't know what.
He put his arms behind his head and sighed. Surely It couldn't be that bad... The silence was deafening until he heard the sound of Airy's microphone turn on. He sat up quickly shaking Amelia awake.
"Hello contestants... Today I will introduce you to..."
"Liam."
