Chapter 10: Shattered hopes.

Airy was working his hardest, trying to expand the cabin to give him and Liam more room. He was making good progress for day one for sure, he was proud of himself.

It was about sunset at this point, he had been working ever since he left the cave. Not stopping to eat just yet. After all, if he didn't finish within the next few days, it may be too cold. So he needed to finish soon. Not today, but soon.

One log after the other Airy slowly built up the second room. Liam occasionally came out to check, and he seemed pretty excited! This made Airy happy. He continued to work on the new room.

"This... Is going well..." Airy sighed. Trying his best to fit the next log in its respective spot. "This is... Taking a lot out of me... hah..." Airy looked up. Knowing he needed to check the stability of the top now. He slowly made it over to the side of the house, and jumped, as he grabbed the ledge of the roof.

Airy climbed up to the roof, carefully balancing on the logs, making his way towards the walls he had been building. Airy stepped on the newly place logs carefully. It seemed pretty stable! That's good. One foot after the other he carefully walked towards the further wall.

But...

The Log suddenly rolled out of It's place, it had fallen, taking Airy with it. "Wh—?!" He shouted as he hit the ground, the second log below it rolling off and falling on top of him.

CRACK!

...

Silence.

Liam was sitting on his bed. Stacking the straw into a shack like position. Trying to occupy himself while he waited for Airy to finish up, and return. He waited patiently. It had been about an hour since he had gone outside but it was getting dark. And cold.

Liam didn't exactly want to go outside when it was this cold. But... Maybe he should. Airy was clearly to set on finishing this project, someone had to get him to come inside. And there wasn't really anyone else.

Liam sighed and stood. "Alright I guess it's time to—."

CRACK

Liam's eyes widened. There's only one thing that could've made a sound like that... Glass. He hobbled as fast as he could put the door, will powering through the pain Airy was either hurt or... dead...

"AIRY?!" He shouted sliding in the grass, and running towards the side of the house. What he saw however... Scarred him.

Airy wasn't dead, but he was cracked WAY worse then before, completely unconscious. Liam ran over, nearly tripping over the axe that was leaning against the newly built wall. It hid the ground, it made a small sound, Liam was too scared to nervous.

"AIRY!!!" He screamed, horrified. Liam pushed the log off of Airy, then tried to shake Airy awake. "A—Airy! Airy! P—please wake up! P—Please!!" Liam panicked. But got no response. Liam stood, and stumbled back. "No... No no! NO!" He didn't know what to do... How was he supposed to fix this...?!

He suddenly got an idea. He turned running towards the cave, he turned on the microphone immediately, the audio too. He saw Airy do it before. "G—GUYS?!"

"Wh—...? Liam?! What's wrong did you remember?!" A voice that sounded like Amelia came from the computer.

"Wh—NO—JUST! UGH! AIRY IS HURT! BADLY! HE NEEDS HELP!" Liam shouted. Nervously holding one side of his head, the mouse in his other hand.

"Goo—." Bryce was shut up by Amelia shushing him. And then inaudible whispers could be heard. "Mmgh... I could help... if you let me out." Bryce sighed, it clearly forced. However Liam was once again too worried to care.

"H—HOW?!" Liam looked at the programs and button on the computer.

"I don't know! Figure it out!" Bryce answered, clearly annoyed. But was trying to hide it...? It sounds like he was TRYING to sound concerned and worried.

"U—UHM...?!" Liam looked through the different programs until he found one that said 'shrink' Airy said one of the planets was used to shrink things down to fit on the plain, maybe if he reversed it, he could bring someone OUT. "TH—THIS ONE...?" Liam shrunk the planet down, then placed Bryce on it.

"Woah what the f—?!" Bryce panicked. Followed by people from the Plain's shouting. Worried for Bryce.

Liam reversed the program, and what do you know? It worked! Bryce was... sure... A LITTLE SMALLER then his real size. But he was there.

"Oh my god..." Bryce looked down at his hands, then the world around him. Then at Liam directly.

"IT WORKED!! QUICK YOU GOTTA HELP HIM!" Liam screamed, running towards where Airy was.

Bryce followed, but as soon as Airy came into view he froze. This was him? He looked... just some guy... Bryce laughed under his breath. He looked so... Pathetic.

"Are you coming?!" Liam panicked only glancing back at Bryce for a brief second. "P—please! You gotta help!"

Liam didn't even notice what Bryce had grabbed off the ground. "Oh don't worry... I'm gonna help him alright." Bryce mumbled.

"Oh thank you! I—!" Liam turned to look at Bryce. Standing over them both. He looked... Mad...

"I'm gonna send him where he belongs."

"Hell."
