I hate the term in a sense a relationship is a negotiation. Each side has demands, desires, and ideas. What they want and/or expect. Can change over time mind you but still have ideas on what you want. Can you and Koneko come to terms?

You just looked at her and you spin started to crawl. Shivers of warmth under them. Four feet away from each other. She was recovering from this. Having no knowledge of your next move. "Hey Koneko I need to ask you something. I will leave it up to you."

"Yes?" Please don't do it. I feel weak as it is.

"Do you want to make it work between us?"

She gasped and her head shot up. "What? Work?"

"As lovers. Please give me an honest answer." You look into her eyes.

She was saddened due to the circumstances but needed to know the truth. "Won't I danger you?"

"Did you not see me almost punch him? I didn't to not put you in danger."

Koneko crawled over to you on the floor. You were sitting and leaning towards the wall. "Me and you as boyfriend and girlfriend? Are you sure?"

You smile. "I'm positive. I care about you. Not him."

"Okay..." She sniffled. "Boyfriend."

Your heart pounded. Boyfriend. Boy is that a first. "My Neko girlfriend. Just one second. Who's are softer? Mine are yours?"

She blushed. "What do you mean?"

"Ears. Try me first."

Nervous about this at first she gave it a second. If I crawl up to him he might stare at my chest. What if he turned around? "Lean to the side."

You nod and turn left to have your shoulder lean on the wall. "As you wish Kitty."

"What are you planning Wolfie?"

"My back is more comfortable. Go for it already. What are you thinking over there?"

"I'm... not showing you my body you know." Of both knew this but she was over thinking this and relayering the ground rules.

"I know. I'm insecure about my looks too."

"Family?"

"Yup. So, good ahead."

Working up the courage she crawled up behind your back and rubbed your wolf ears. Then releasing her grip and hugging you. "Warm." You swiftly turn around. So quick she's hugging around your chest instead of your back. Then you pull your hands back and wiggle you fingers. Koneko uses her arms to cover her chest and shuts her eyes. "Lewd." She shook.

You rub her cat ears. "You win. You have softer ears than I do."

"Huh?" She looked up seeing you're playing with her ears and not being perverted. Being around Issei and the shower incident must have had her think different. "Thanks. You are exceptionally kind (FN)."

"I try Kitty."

"Well... Honey? I think we're good. Are you okay to tell Rias and everyone? Just when it happens?" This was a test that most men get asked to see how serious he takes it.

"Of course. On you." You smile and give her a hug.

As she squeezed you Koneko started to settle down. "I think we can make things work."

"Me too." A peck on her neck. "Should we turn in? Or you want to stay like this for a bit?"

"Five more minutes. Meow." She purred as she sighed happily into your chest.

"Alright." You close your eyes and smile. Everything coming around full circle. As Koneko stayed there she started to doze off. Just so comfy in that position. Someone has had a rough few days to be out cold at this time of night. Having to use the bathroom and get ready for bed you made to do one thing. And it was more than right to do. Carry her. Bridal style. You were a Rook. Strength. Why not? It took time so you didn't disturb her but you slide around and picked her up. Then walked out of your room and into the hall. No one could hear you. Just slowly walking across the floor and into her bedroom. Hitting the light switch then to the bed. Gently leaning over to move the blanket and sheet and lower her in. Tucking very firm for comfort and warmth. A kiss on her lips for the cherry on top of the night. All was left was to go to your room and prepare for tomorrow. For whatever challenge the two of you would face. It was only time before drama kicked in the door, wave the four-four, and hope Lightning don't hit you no more. (If you didn't get the last sentence it's from Biggie. Kick In The Door to be precise. But I listen to everything.) Just a simple shower and off to bed. The manor was silent.

It was dawn as Koneko opened her eyes. Her body just suddenly woke up and looked at the time. Yet all the effects of the morning still there. She was gathering her thoughts as her heart pounded. Scared about what happened last night.

What's going on? How did I get to bed? Who tucked me in? Did he really touch my ears? Wait. Did he really ask me out? I feel lonely now. I swear I felt cuddles last night. The door opened as she was startled. It creeked as she pulled the blanket over frightened. "Hello?" She called.

"Kitty. You're awake." You smiled.

"Honey? Did everything happen last night?" Her cheeks turned to pink.

"Our siblings, all the tears, and you're my lover? Yes. I'm kind of processing this like you. But I'm ready for the challenges. More importantly ready to make you as happy as I can."

She reached her hands out. "Hugs."

"Cuddles? We got a few minutes." You offered.

"Please. I'm cold." She moved the blanket over.

"Coming in." You unbutton your uniform shirt and hang it on the bedpost. Then hop into the bed. On your right side as she snuggled in your chest. "Morning Koneko."

"Mmmm. Warm. Meow." She purred as her ears shown. You pet them as she gripped your undershirt. "Thank you for caring for me. You are really such a nice boy."

"I've been trying." You wink at her.

"Like a Princess."

"You deserve it. I love you. Let's tackle today together. And no one will tell us anything."

"I love you too. Meow."

Finally set in stone. Now to tell everyone the news. How are the boys and girls at school taking it? How about the House? Lightning and Kuroka? Too many questions.
