You hit your alarm clock the next morning. Time to see if you can concur it. Yet while getting dressed the door opened. No knock just opened it up and walked in.

"Hello uhhhh Rias?"

"Good morning." She was fully dressed.

"Anything I can do for you before class and the gym?"

"Well I need you to take a second rest day. I have special training for Koneko. I'm not sure how well she's doing." She placed a hand on your shoulder. From the smile gazing at you it could only mean good news. "Your work has been solid. Your academics passing. You and her work well together being Rook teammates. Don't beat yourself. I think your brother should live a thousand hells. You will beat him one day. I promise. And I'm aware that you want to take him yourself. Though it will be interesting to see how live fights will take place."

"But I can't fight you girls can I? I mean Rias you are like an older sister to me. Well least if you put in books. I mean... I can't hurt you."

"Koneko will be your partner when the time comes."

"But she's my cr... partner. So. Csn t think straight." Shit!

Rias read right through the bullshit. "Really?" She crossed her arms.

The R word. Oh boy. She was so onto you. Reading you like a book. Not looking good on your end. "Uhhh."

"I won't mention it. But if it's what I am pretty sure it is then I hope she doesn't get hurt."

"Hurt? What are you doing to Bestie?"

She shook her head. "That's what she is?"

I wish for more. For now that's all I got.

"Ugh. So naive. Don't worry. Only way she will get hurt is by her own efforts."

"I don't like where this is going..."

As you attempted to go back to bed Rias was in the gym as Koneko wasn't feeling herself. Though Rias had are hands tied. Always feeling bad as she had this motherly approach and feeling to her House members. Yet this was about hard work. Nothing is perfect. Koneko had a harsh workout plan from Rias and she wasn't able to get through half of it.

"Rias." She panted. "I can't."

"Koneko. Quit holding yourself back."

"I can't. I'm afriad to. I don't like what I am."

"I'm much aware Dear. I just don't want you to hurt yourself. That is all I ask."

"I..." She hit the floor and lost the wind in her lungs.

"Ouch. Someone needs to rest."

It was a stressful day. Sitting in the ORC you could only think about Koneko and if she's okay. That should have been you in the gym putting in the work. Not here till she was taken ill.

// "Hey where's Koneko?" You asked doing a headcount of everyone.

"She is going to stay at the manor and get some bed rest. Not feeling well at all. Probably over it." Rias frowned but had to continue on.

How does anyone expect me not to think about this? I got her at home and I can't be there until after club. For all I know can be well after moonlight. And yet I freaking sit here and hope she's okay. Why do I feel that something's just not right? It's not wolf sense.

Akeno creeped up behind you on the couch. "Awww. That's so cute and sweet of you."

"Hey! Where did you come from?" You jump.

"Just got in. Rias is checking on Koneko before hand. I didn't get you into trouble the other day did I?"

"I... don't know. No smacks. Good enough."

"Glad. Now let's see if you can help this time with a pact." Akeno went to the main desk where a note was left. "Alright. I'll teleport us there. Should be an easy one."

"What are we doing Akeno?"

"Maid cafe."

The old saying goes, "If we keep meeting like this, people will begin to talk," implied here. Akeno teleported both of you to the cafe and the both of you changed. Akeno obviously was looking sexy to the point all the guys were going to drool. And you looked like a lady slayer. A bit older as well.

You step out of the men's room and shake your head at Akeno. "I can't believe this is happening. You look haply though."

"You look hot. Alright? These girls will make it easy for you. Though expect name calling."

That made zero sense. "Name calling?"

"Hey handsome. Coffee cream and sugar please."

"Make that two Daddy."

You look at Akeno as she just giggled. "Nevermind..."

"They got call outs. With you along it should be much better." Akeno winked at you.

Yet Koneko might kill me. "I guess."

"She'll understand. We will check on her when we are done."

From there you tried to swallow those cringey thoughts of the girls saying these things. Being called handsome was something to get you off guard. Daddy was a freak out and my man was concerning. A girl would be a different story. Yet a guy being hit to many people wasn't the biggest thing in the world. Ladies love a man in uniform. On a positive note it was great that you showed up. With three call outs in total the Devils needed supoort. You and Akeno saved this place from crumbling in the service world. It was being run as a very tight ship. Tables came and went until it died down by nightfall. With a half moon glowing it was time to wrap up. You waited outside as Akeno handled the manager.

She came out. "To Koneko's?"

"Yes."

"Good. Let's go." She started to summon the circle.

"Wait. We should..."

You were going to say change. Both of you visiting her is your cosplay might lead to another wrong idea. After all she walked out on her waking you up before. No bad thoughts of any kind needed. But the summoning circle appeared in her room.

She lifted up the comes. "Who's there?"

You both appear in front of her. "Hey Koneko. You feeling better?"

"Why are..." She took a look at you and then to Akeno. "That's lewd." She put the covers over her and turned over.

"Well Koneko I hope you feel better. I'm heading to check in with Rias after the recent pact." She waved goodbye and shut the door behind her.

It was just the two of you. Naturally she was trying to avoid you but you had to take matters into your own hands. "Going up." You run a few feet, jump sideways and land on the bed next to her with a small thud. "So what's up?"

"I'm not feeling well. How was your date?"

You pull the covers off of her to see a bright red blush. "We worked at a maid cafe and kept the uniforms. I really wanted to change before seeing you."

She looks at you up and down. "You really do look good in that outfit."

You sigh. "Heard that too much today."

"Hard?" She asked.

"Oh yeah. But, as a whole difficult. Thinking you weren't well walking to school and everything."

You adjusted her blanket. "I'll be good by tomorrow."

"Can't wait. Afterwards we can go somewhere again without interruptions."

"You really mean it?" She smiled.

"Only if you're better." You inch over to give her a hug. "Goodnight."

She squeezed into you. "Goodnight. You're on for tomorrow." She watched you exit the door with a giant smile on your face. It took so long for me ears to go away. And are we planning a date? Wait he just did a pact with Akeno. But he's nice in the buktrr cosplay. Yet he's a dog. But he's a good guy. Ugh. I can't think. Better go to bed. But I say this a lot lately but I really wish it was a date. Want him to be around more. I just want him to accept me. I know I'm a hard case.

Rias sent her on straight bed rest as you can barely get through your day. Let alone having all of this garbage getting to your head. It's been messing with your thoughts. Your whole mindset screwed up by not knowing how she's doing. It's a kick to the balls. What's next? Hopefully she's better and Lightning don't enforce curfew.
