-Met Her Half My Way-
I met myself half way,
Found me to turn around and pray,
And they said she had it all,
But I saw her,
I know she shrunk though being tall.
And how blessed! they said,
She wondered what they meant.
Oh darling, I met her half my way,
Bearing the frown, I didn't round.
I simply turned to pray.
Couldn't do anything to set her free,
But, o darling, at least,
let herself breathe.
Make her love herself, evergreen,
Dream unconditionally,
A bit rather,
hopelessly.
Midst prayers crowd, I halted for a sound,
Tell me I'm still about,
And she a bit abound.
And they said, she was blessed of all,
She wondered how they kept it all,
Oh, I met her half my way,
Couldn't make her fray astray,
So, o darling,
Let her breathe herself away.
And unheard their say,
Herd her younger self away,
I met her half my way,
Saw myself, and turned to pray.
O darling, couldn't set her free,
At least, let herself breathe
Herd her younger self away,
Make her love herself, evergreen,
Dream true unconditionally,
A bit rather,
hopelessly.
