Two: Sea Green

Yeongdo-Gu Baptist Church.

A church not too far from where Jungkook lives, and not so big either. The building itself is quite small, which didn't seem like a church from the outside. It's humble looking in a way, and just as welcoming when Jungkook stepped inside.

Today is the first Sunday service Jungkook is attending to upon moving, and he actually found himself really happy to see a lot more people than expected to be here. Instead of rows of pews, its chairs lined up in rows, and a lot of people are already sitting while talking amongst each other with gospel music in the background while the service begins.

Something about being here really makes him feel a bit different than how he did when he was at the church in Seoul, and that probably has a lot to do with people not staring at him or immediately 'sniffing' the gayness out of him. He was used to the disapproval stares, or even people not sitting next to him because of them knowing his preferences - not all, but most. Here, people didn't really mind him, and he suddenly feel like he was able to breathe a little better,

It's the first day, who knows what could happen, but at the end of the day, he's here for God.

Not for approval of others on how to be the perfect Christian boy.

Since Jungkook is alone here, and he's not really social in social settings he's unfamiliar with, he found himself sitting to the back row - which is pretty empty for the most part, while looking around attentively to his surroundings. There's no painting or crucifix in sight, only a band set-up ahead before the podium to perform - also where the pastor will speak soon enough.

Jungkook kept his eyes peered and then decides to open up the bible and start reading before the service starts instead. He has already read the bible from start to end, but he likes to go back from time to time and take notes or read certain verses that spoke out to him, like right now reading Jeremiah.

Verse of the day: For I know the plans I have for you," Declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

What a great way to start off the day.

Before Jungkook can presume to continue reading, he felt a presence beside him, followed by a tap on his shoulder. He looks up, immediately displaying a smile upon seeing an older woman sitting beside him with a smile back to him, "I have not seen you around here before, I welcome you to our service today!"

Jungkook bows in politeness, "Thank you. I'm new here and I really wanted to be attend a church as I used to back home."

"Well, I'm glad God guided you here to us," Her voice is kind, like gentle cotton candy, "My name is Kim Jia, and my husband is the pastor of this church. I will be sure to introduce you two together after service."

This warmed Jungkook's heart to such hospitality from her, nodding, "I would appreciate that, thank you."

Jia smiles lovingly back and stands up, going to greet the rest of the people here. Jungkook watches as they all converse with each other joyfully, letting his gaze roam around with a lighter feeling in his chest, before it falls to the backside of a boy.

He's the only one not engaging with anyone here, sitting three rows away from Jungkook by the end. With his head down, seemingly to be praying, and no one has approached him. It's as though he's in his own world alone.

It's not even the fact that he's alone that draw a bit of Jungkook's attention to him, since a lot of people here are also on their own while they pray or read the bible, but it's because of his sea green hair, rooted by blonde strands. It's not common to see such colors on someone's hair as natural looking as his, especially entering in a church, which makes Jungkook start to wonder a bit.

The guy never once looked back, or even anywhere else, not even when the service began by music.

Jungkook shifted his eyes away from him, rising to his feet with everyone else as he claps and sang along to the band and singer who began the service. Many of the songs Jungkook already knew since he has heard it back in Seoul, so hearing the familiarity in a new setting really did make his heart feel warm.

Yet despite his attempt in focusing, his eyes would subconsciously shift.

His gaze would trail from time to time to the boy with vibrant hair, hoping to perhaps catch a glimpse of him out of curiosity, but he never had much luck.

The service from there went by smoothly, and Jungkook actually grew a liking to the Pastor's way of giving this comforting yet profound energy while preaching. He has a way with words and expression that cuts through people, making it feel as though what he's saying is specifically for you, and Jungkook ended up feeling so touched by it by the end of the service since it really made him think of his current situation a little different and with more hope.

Looks like he found his church after all.

The service soon enough ended after two hours, and just as promised, Jungkook was introduced to the pastor by Jia.

His comforting and warm aura really is something overwhelming to face while being in his presence, but he was gentle to Jungkook's nerves and gave a prayer to his welcoming here. He also gave him a few suggestions on places to check out or visit along with his stay, which Jungkook found really kind of him to do.

Now ready to leave with a smile on his lips, Jungkook suddenly came to a stop in his steps when he sees the boy from earlier walking forward from where he was seated. Well, calling him a boy is too under toning, perhaps a man is more appropriate to say because of his mature facial features.

There's something about him that felt quite odd when Jungkook now looks at him face to face, but he cannot deny the beauty that glowed and radiated from him - somehow making his hair seem to be enhancing it.

Jungkook didn't even realize he was staring until his eyes followed the man moving past him and to the pastor and his wife - without once drifting his attention anywhere else.

Seems as though he's someone close to them because they greeted him with wide smiles immediately, and the pastor wrapping an arm around his shoulders while rubbing his arm while hushly speaking to him. The guy either didn't say anything or was not loud enough for Jungkook to hear his voice, but he was suddenly guided away by the Pastor, leading him away to beside the stage - where there is a brown door.

Furrowing his eyebrows, Jungkook watches as the Pastor guides him inside and closes the door behind them.

Okay.....

Jungkook's mind really didn't want to think any negative or intrusive thoughts as to things he has seen on the news or television surrounding those types of scenes, only turning a blind eye and saying to himself that the guy probably is in need to confess something privately.

So Jungkook walks away, not seeing Jia's eyes attentively on him as he left.
