Note by BambiLuna16: Hello guys!! I'm so sorry that I was unable to continue this story on my personal account. I have a lot going on in my life right now, but Masquerade16 has been so kind is letting this story be published on her account so it can continue to be ongoing. We will work together to create more chapters hopefully in the future, as for now, I just focus on myself and my health. Please give this story lots of love <3
Alright, so before I begin, I want to express my dilemma in relations to the shipping of this story, because I sincerely have no idea. So, starting the story, I was planning on making it a Jikook story, since I already created a Taekook story, so why not? BUT, as I started writing the story - three chapters in - I began to see A LOT of potential with Vminkook. So.... I have no idea on the shipping towards the end, so why not figure it out along the way and enjoy the story while we read? Maybe I'll figure it out towards the end, and perhaps you guys can help me out?
Now tackling that out of the way, let's do the intro details!
This story will have multiple scenes of detailed smut, childhood trauma mentions, religion trauma, gruesome language, corrupt society, work affairs, Boss x Employee affair, Merman/Siren, detailed violence, heavily surrounding on religion, and many scenes that could in fact be uncomfortable to read. The scenes will not be sugarcoated, I want to practice on my detailed writing, so I hope you can understand it.
If you continue to read this book after this warning, I am assuming you have read the following warnings and it will be YOUR responsibility to take care of yourselves while reading this book, read at your own risk. The scenes will be VERY detailed, so be mindful of yourselves and mental and emotional health. You have every right to STOP READING if at any point you start to feel uncomfortable or triggered by what has been written, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Do not push yourself to continue if you feel overwhelmed with this story.
Everything involved in this story is entirely Fictional and not meant to take on a literal sense - well obvious since it's a supernatural story. With that being said the characters do not represent, speak for, or reflect how any celebrity is that this story may have. They are only used for visual purposes, but do not under any circumstance have any connection with the person in real life. So do not make connections or jump to certain conclusion related to the person in real life. In also connection to this, the world they live in is an alternative universe of this one, so the world is a lot different.
I created this story idea, so with that being said plagiarism is absolutely not tolerated. If you'd like to be inspired by it, that's something you have to console to myself about it, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings.
Let's see, I already spoke about the whole shipping issue, so there should be no surprises while reading certain scenes.
I want to add that this story will cover a lot of religious themes in relations to Christianity, and it really surrounds a lot in it. This is not meant as blasphemy, or anything negativity against God or religion. I believe this story holds a lot of factors we hold in our everyday society, despite the whole siren thing, but I want people who could be going through similar situations as the characters to feel hopeful and loved in some way or form - or connect in some way. This story is a journey, and there's a lot that's going to happen since it can be a pretty dark story. There will be characters that will make you want to bash your head against the wall, or ones you'll love dearly, so don't take this story as a generalization about people's views. It's more of a story that I want people to read and hopefully feel touched by it as the characters go through the trials and tribulations of life, we all have a story in our own way, so I hope this all makes sense.
Now, I usually include emoji's like my previous story 'Aptitude' to introduce a lot of themes of the story, but I'm going to be honest and say that this story is going to be real messy, intense, and there's a lot going on all the time. If I write warnings, it'll be a warning every chapter, so this is going to be the only warning I'm going to write. If you decide to continue reading, that's entirely up to you, but there's really a lot that's going to go on in this story.
Now that you have read through all of this information, or I will assume you have, and if you continue to read this story than that will be at your own risk. I am not be responsible for how this story may impact either mentally, emotionally or spiritually. You have the freedom, and right, to stop reading if you feel as though this story is affecting your everyday life in a negative direction. This is your responsibility to take care of yourself.
I'm being very serious about this because I really want this book to be kept here and for many of you to read it and enjoy it. So that's why I'm being very cautious about this.
This is your last warning.
With that being said, I hope you all enjoy Whispers of The Sea!
Never has Jungkook expected to find himself living in Busan again, specifically at Yeongdo-Gu district. After living for so long in Seoul as a teenager through college after his parents' divorce, he didn't envision ever coming back here.
Much less to Yeongdo-Gu.
Yeongdo-Gu district isn't too far away from the modern metropolis city of Busan, but in Yeongdo-Gu there is a bit of city atmosphere too with a lot of movement and tourist attractions. However, where Jungkook is heading towards, you could call that the countryside by the sea.
Driving right past the city atmisphere and farther to the end by the sea, there's not a lot of tourist attractions by here. It's mainly a village of fisherman, distant and away from the modernism.
This would be a first for Jungkook since he has never left the city, even as a young kid - he was always seeing tall buildings, people and moving cars, only passing by villages and towns occasionally through the drive.
So, he never lived in one before.
This adjustment will be relatively new to him, but luckily for him the job he got is in the Yeongdo-Gu 'city' area, but he decided to live far out because of the view of the ocean he gets from his new home - and because it was the cheapest option since oddly not a lot of people prefer living by the sea.
It's perfect for him, well just until he gets himself situated.
The house is also pretty isolated, away from people - which is a bit of a surprise since most homes are really close tight together, but this is something Jungkook has caught on rather too quick about the small town and it's their use of space.
The more distant the better.
Not like he's complaining, means there's less of a chance of having nosy neighbors.
Following the address by memory now, Jungkook sees his new home upon driving into a rocky road. The house is quite modern looking, like most houses here; Completely out of white cement, a single home that seemed quite fancy actually - despite the barren grass plastered around it, but not as much as there is rocks. It's a simple, pretty basic home, but inside has all the space and everything he needs that does not compare at all to his cramped-up apartment he used to live in.
They made this house to be good in withstanding tough weathers, so that explains a lot on the tough minerals used to build it.
Jungkook's new home.
Driving up the stumbling road towards it, he sees a familiar black Hyundai Tuscson parked already out front of the house. The owner of the car wasn't inside, no he was outside looking far into the ocean with a cigarette between his fingers while standing on a rock - oozing this aura of a classy, rich man of the mid - 1900s.
Kim Taehyung, a miracle in disguise as his boss.
When Jungkook lived in Seoul, he worked for an entertainment tourist company as an intern coordinator - a few branches away from the government. He made sure the city was up to date on what's the big thing going on in the world, how to make more people come into the country to increase their economy - basically he was their guide into helping them understand pop culture now.
As an intern.
They paid him, which was great, but that wasn't enough Jungkook needed a real job to make his own name, and unfortunately, they didn't see his potential growth in that industry just yet - perhaps an excuse to have him as an underpaid intern while juicing up his ideas.
Except for Kim Taehyung.
Kim Taehyung is the Director of the same industry but in Busan - recently actually since he was first stationed in Daegu. He was in Seoul for a few months to attend an important board meeting and formal events for the occasion, and you could say the two got along pretty while Jungkook was under the wing of the person in charge of him.
Well, if you could call occasional sexual affairs in his hotel room or in the bathroom of those formal meetings as getting along well. Okay listen, it wasn't all just sexual. Taehyung did see a lot of potential in Jungkook, mainly by noticing he was mainly doing all of the work for his boss while his boss took most if not all the credit.
He wanted to see Jungkook grow more with his skills, and to use it to his capacity.
So, after a quick fucking in his car, Taehyung proposed to him to work at Yeongdo - Gu as the coordinator there - and since he already has experience, this would be easier for him to adjust and work with. He did mention that Yeongdo-Gu is in need of a fresh mindset and someone to motivate the employers on combating new strategies, so who Jungkook was to back down on that opportunity?
He told his boss he was leaving, grabbed his shit and left.
Starting on his new life on his own.
The best part of it is that since Taehyung adores him so much, he paid off three months of his rent and was the one who helped Jungkook find this house in the first place.
If someone is being that generous already, why struggle? Jungkook took that gesture happily.
At the end of the day, it's all his and he doesn't owe Taehyung anything - that was their deal, and Taehyung agreed.
He wants to help, so Jungkook accepts it. When the time comes, Jungkook will be there to help him too if something ever happen.
It's a partnership.
Piling off the car after parking it beside the Hyundai, Taehyung approaches him while taking an intake of his cigarette as Jungkook closes the door behind him. Not even having time to say a proper greeting, with the cigarette in hand, Taehyung pulls Jungkook by the hair and slams their lips together roughly.
He doesn't waste time.
Taehyung has a very mixed energy about him. He can be dominating when he wants to be, or submissive while begging Jungkook to bend him over his bed. It's hard to tell when he's feeling either one, not like Jungkook complains.
If he wants dick, he'll give it to him. If he wants to provide, Jungkook will take it.
Not a difficult situation to digest, besides it's all sexual, nothing more - not even a relationship.
Taehyung just wants his sex buddy to be closer than a few miles away, while still avoiding publicity along the way.
That would be an issue if whatever the two have got into public.
Jungkook grins against his lips and pulls away, tasting the nicotine on his lips by Taehyung's mouth, "Mind helping me settle in first before we get sexual?"
A mirrored grin flashes Taehyung's lips, pulling back while taking the last bit of the hit of the cigarette and nods to Jungkook's car, "This is the last of your things, right?"
Moving around to the trunk, seeing a few boxes there, Jungkook nods, "Yeah this is it, I'm officially moved in."
Taehyung casts a subtle smile to Jungkook's excitement, rubbing the back of his neck and takes a box, "Then let's get to it."
The remainder of the day was spent with Jungkook setting up his things - from his room organizing things up, to Taehyung helping out with the kitchen - which he was kind enough to bring him food to stock up on, to then Jungkook organizing the living room and bathroom to make it feel less barren. Thankfully the place is already furnished, so Jungkook didn't really need to touch upon too many things besides what he brought.
By the end of the night, the house felt more like home.
After an intimate dinner with candles and delicious food that the two cooked up together to fucking in his new room, the two men now lay on Jungkook's bed - staring off to the wall glass window to gaze at the ocean, which so happens to be quite peaceful tonight.
The two are sharing a cigarette between each other, followed by music in the background as they sink in this moment of complete silence. They're not really talkers after sex, they prefer breathing in the quietness with the faint sounds of the ocean waves while being in each other's presence.
Nothing more, nothing less.
That's actually something the two enjoy about each other, or why they stuck around for so long - they understand each other without needing to explain themselves. They're not clingy, nor do they desire for things to get too emotional. They share the common need of silence after that physical activity, and when it's time to leave, they keep it casual without making things complicated.
They like that.
In some way, it keeps things consistent between them.
Perhaps that's why Jungkook is Taehyung's favorite. Besides, it's difficult for Jungkook to get so emotional about things as he did so before - he pours that energy into something else instead.
"Is there a church near here by any chance?"
Taehyung snorts to the question, exhaling the smoke to the air while tracing a hand on Jungkook's thigh, "Want to repent for your sins of homosexuality?"
"I am religious for your information, and I believe God loves me even if I also like men. That's my belief," Jungkook defends, tracing his eyes back to the ocean from staring at Taehyung's hand, "I do go to church every Sunday, so that's something I don't want to change."
For a long moment Taehyung doesn't say anything, but he did offer his cigarette to Jungkook - in which he takes without hesitation, "I believe there's one a few minutes away from here, I can show you tomorrow," He tells him, his fingers slowly drifting to Jungkook's inner thigh, "Don't even ask me about coming with you."
"We're not that close."
"I'm hurt, I thought we were at least friends," And his hands found Jungkook's dick grasping him completely with his large hand, "Or a little more."
Jungkook chokes on the smoke exhaling his mouth, his pelvis twitching to the hot touch, "I won't force you to go where you don't feel comfortable. If you'd like to go, you'd go without me pleading you. God will be there with open arms to greet you in."
"Keep thinking of that fantasy."
The remark did nudge off Jungkook in a way he really didn't like, and he moves his body way from his immediately. Taehyung snaps his eyes to him, seeing how tense Jungkook got while moving his gaze away, "I'm sorry, I know how you are about that topic -"
"It's not even the topic," Jungkook mutters, snapping his eyes to him, "A simple respect for my beliefs would be enough. This isn't the first time you've made commentaries like that, and I don't like it."
Now rubbing the cigarette on the ashtray, Jungkook gets up from the bed and walks towards the window in his nudity, leaning against the glass with an arm as he tries to calm down his nerves.
Yeah, maybe you weren't expecting such religious roots from a boy who seems to still be sinning a daily basis. He's not a saint, and he's not going to act like it either when he knows he's tempted to sin - but he can try to get better, and that's what he has been doing. Believe it or not, Jungkook is religious, or at least spiritual. Not like he's going to actively try to persuade people on his religion, he usually just practices it on his own - being a bit flexible in relations to it since he does have different views than most people he shares the same religion with; such as about homosexuality being the main principle of it.
Only God can judge his decisions at the end of the day, it's not anyone else's concerns on what he does or doesn't do with his life to tell him if he's wrong or right.
Once upon a time, maybe Jungkook was a bit like Taehyung - someone who didn't believe in a God, or would make rude commentaries about it since he simply didn't believe in it - no religion trauma or things like that, science just made more sense to him. That all changed when Jungkook genuinely did experience God saving him, and it was through a dream.
He had a dream one night about avoiding a club he used to go to a lot back then in his university years and how he was going to be drugged that night, and Jungkook didn't listen. He went the other night to that same club, and his drink got spiked when he wasn't looking.
That night was the first time he ever prayed through his drugged state while he felt himself being dragged away to a vehicle while being unable to move his body, but someone fortunately came in - a group of people actually - stopped the person and called the cops and an ambulance.
Jungkook never forgets that night, and since then, he has never turned his back on God again.
Maybe it was a coincidence or an anxiety dream, or maybe it was God, that's up to Jungkook to decide and he decided that was God.
Since then, he has been happier with himself, with life.
He's not perfect, nor will he ever be perfect, and he's still combatting against old habits he used to do or still does since he's still a bit new - but he knows he's not alone and is understood.
It'll take time, for himself mainly.
Now, he knows maybe what he's doing with Taehyung is not right, but unfortunately, he's a temptation he can't shrug off.
Maybe he was sent from God to help Jungkook grow more in life? After all, he got a new job, home and well..... Who knows, maybe the two will get into a relationship whenever Taehyung decides to open his heart.
If he ever does.
Besides, Jungkook has prayed and prayed from time again on God removing anyone from his life who isn't meant to help him prosper or grow closer to him.
Taehyung is still here, so that must mean something, right?
Who knows, Jungkook would like to think they're still around each other for a reason, whatever the case maybe.
He's not picky about titles either way.
Too far into his own thoughts, Jungkook didn't even notice Taehyung approaching him until he glanced to his reflection from the glass. Taehyung calmly wraps his arms around his waist and pecks his neck, "I'm sorry, it just came out without thinking. I don't want to upset you."
That's the thing with Taehyung, he gives a lot of hope and is so careful around Jungkook - despite his words being a little messy from time to time. Taehyung really doesn't mean to upset him or get on his wrong side, and maybe it's because he did grow an emotional attachment to him.
When this topic on religion arises, it's just difficult for the two to see from the same page once it's really talked about and that's expected from someone who's atheist and religious most of the time.
They tried talking about it through respectful lenses, but it always gets heated - facts, statistics, testimonies and ideas get involved, it gets real ugly.
But they try to make it work, and that's usually by subtle apologies to work on their tongue.
Jungkook always lets it slide, every single time since he gets it, he's been there before.
Just like how he did now.
"Just keep your opinions about that to yourself," Jungkook says quietly, flickering back to the ocean, "We have different perspectives, and I don't want us to bump heads because of it all of the time."
Taehyung is a good guy.
He's passionate, has this James Dean aura about him that makes him irresistible. He's really smart and knows how to do business. He gets really competitive about things, so that probably explains why arguments usually happen between them since neither of them ever back down.
But he's attentive, he has a good heart.
And is equally good at providing.
Taehyung's breath on Jungkook's neck is warm now, just like when his lips pressed another peck on his skin, and another one. Jungkook's eyes closed, loving the sensation of his physical affection as he leans against the glass, where Taehyung pressed him against it.
"Whatever you wish, bun."
And Taehyung took him on against the glass, having Jungkook face the world with his nude nature and his blurred eyes staring into the ocean.
Unsure if the eyes staring back to him from the waters were from the tears or his own reflection.
[Note]:
What a start....
So as you can see already, we are going to see a lot with this story.
I will upload the other chapter I have here just as a little more insight.
This story will officially be in the works of actively writing once I finish Aptitude - which surprisingly is growing close to the end than expected.
Besides, I'm writing pretty often, so you will definitely see this story coming out soon!
Lots of love <3
