Author's Pov:

Soomin nervously looked at the company. "Why is it me?", she murmured having no good feeling. Without thinking much, she directly went to Ms. Cha.

"You are here. You know Ceo's cabin right? Just go there. I would have led you there but there are a lot of things I need to do", she said in an apologetic tone.

Soomin smiled, "It's fine". Ms. Cha patted her shoulder, "Don't worry, hmm. These rumors keep happening. They will be over soon". Soomin hummed.

As Soomin walked towards the cabin, her begun to beat faster. "I'm not doing it", she heard Junhui's voice. "Yeah, he won't do such thing", she slowly peeked in to see Seungcheol and Junhui sitting infront of their ceo.

"Why should I do it?", Junhui said. Their Ceo sighed, "Even I don't want you guys to do it but I'm not to only one who makes decision. Besides it is only going to be for few days".

Soomin frowned knocking on door. "Come in", she heard Ceo. Her eyes met Junhui who immediately looked away. "Coups, can you leave? I need to talk to them both alone", he emphasized alone.

Seungcheol looked at them before going out. "Have a seat", He said. Soomin sat down. "Uh, I don't know how to tell you this but you know the news right now is getting a good response. More people are interested in him and the others", Ceo started.

"Not me but the BODs are ones who are pressurising me. They want you both to keep up the act. They are thinking of confirming this relationship for few months", he said.

"I'm not doing it. I'm here for my job and not to satisfy their needs", Soomin said. He sighed, "I understand-"

"No you don't", Junhui stood up. His CEO sighed, "Listen, I want you both to do it, remember you are under contract. I'm not asking you both to go in public and do some lovey dovey things. Just do your own business. You have nothing to do. We won't even disclose her name".

Soomin glared at him. "But-", Junhui stopped as his phone rang. "It's fine, you can go and pick up", the CEO said. Junhui went out.

Soomin awkwardly sat on the chair, fidgeting her finger. 'Why is it me out of all the people?', she thought rolling her eyes.

Junhui sighed picking up the call, "Yes, eomma". He heard her clearing her throat, "Are you fine? I just got to know the news".

He hummed, "Yeah, we are sorting it out". He heard her sigh, "Is it true? The rumor? Are you really dating her". Before he could say anything, his mother spoke.

"Your father's condition is deteriorating. He saw the news today and he is happy about it. He thinks it is a real news and not a rumor", His mother said, "And I don't know how to tell him".

Junhui sighed, "I-I don't know, Eomma. I'm just confused right now, not confused but I don't know how to put it in words".

"What's wrong?", his mother softly asked. "Uh, the company wants us to keep up the act", he answered. There was a silence on other side. "What do you want to do?".

"Is it Junhui?", he heard his father. "I want to talk to him", his father said, "You bastard, why didn't you tell us that you are dating someone? I-", his father stopped due to continuous coughs.

"Junhui, we will talk later", his mother was about to hang up but his father stopped her. "N-No, let me talk to him please", his father said. "Junhui, I want to meet her once before I die, please. You know you are 28 and I want to see you married before you turn 30".

Junhui sighed, the weird superstition he had in his family— marriage before you turn 30 otherwise you will have a single and dreadful life.

Before he could say anything, he saw Soomin rushing out of the cabin. "I'll call you later, hmm", Junhui said. His father chuckled, "Fine but let's me meet her once, please".

Junhui hummed before hanging up the call. He went ran behind her but stopped when he saw her talking to Seungcheol.

"Tell your boss that I'm here for work and to satisfy their board of managers. I'm here for work and not as some puppet", she said.

"Hey but what's wrong?", Seungcheol softly asked. "He thinks involving my daughter in this shit will make me agree", Soomin said, "He said that he will give me how much ever money I want. When I refused, he involved my daughter. He thinks I don't earn enough to support me and my daughter".

Without hearing anything, Soomin left. Her anger had consumed her. Junhui looked at Seungcheol. "What's happened?", Seungcheol asked. Junhui shrugged, "I have no idea. I was talking to my father when I saw her coming out".

Seungcheol patted his shoulder, "Uh, I think you should go home. I'll handle everything here, hmm". Junhui nodded.

Sitting in the car, he looked out, thinking whether to call his parents or not but at the end he called them just to hear his father's excited voice.

"You are not busy right?", his father asked. "No, just had some work. Now I'm free", Junhui softly answered. His father chuckled, "Will you bring her this Saturday?".

Junhui sighed, he had no idea how to answer. Hearing his father's excited voice, made him feel sad. "But Appa-".

"Please, Junhui"

"Fine", he answered but immediately regretted. His father cheered, "I'm so happy. He is bringing her day after tomorrow. I won't die before seeing my daughter in law, honey".

After talking a while with his father, his mother took over the phone, "Did you just lie?", His mother sternly asked. Junhui hummed, "I didn't meant to lie but did you hear him? It happened after such a long time. I just couldn't tell him the truth".

"So what are you going to do? Put up an act or tell him truth?", his mother asked seeing her husband being all happy just like a small child getting his favorite candy.

She knew telling him truth won't be good either. His health was deteriorating day by day, it was not a good idea. "Eomma, I'll think about it, hmm", Junhui softly said.

His mother sighed, "Fine". Junhui hanged up reaching the droms to find other members waiting for him.

"How did it go?", Seungkwan immediately asked making other members turn to him. "Uh, he wants us to be in a fake relationship", Junhui said still lost in his thoughts.

"I knew he would do such thing", Soonyoung murmured. "And what did you say?", Vernon asked. "Of course we didn't agree. Well, I went out for few minutes, just to talk with Eomma. He must have said something rude, so Soomin just went away in anger", Junhui said.

"Did anything happened again?", Minghao asked seeing Junhui answering mindlessly. "Uh, I just created another problem for myself", he said.

He told them about his father and everything. "Oh, now who are you going to convince? Soomin or your father?", Wonwoo asked.

"I would prefer Soomin. Knowing you father's condition, it won't be good", Soonyoung said. Junhui frowned, "Ugh, this is all messed up".

Time skip:

Soojin glanced at Soomin who was quiet since she came from the company. Hesitating, she spoke, "What happened in the company?". Soomin sighed, "They think just because we are under contract means they can use us as their puppets".

Soojin frowned. "Well they want me and Junhui to be in fake relationship", Soomin said emphasizing fake. "What?", Soojin's voice cracked.

"And guess what that CEO of theirs said? Miss. Soomin, we will give you extra money for it after you are a single mother. It must be difficult for you to raise your child alone right? We can offer as much as you want. Just say the digit and it will be presented before you", Soomin said as she couldn't help but bang the bowl on the kitchen counter.

"It must have pissed you off", Soojin guessed. Soomin nodded, "Why do people think that being a single parents means having financial problems".

Before Soojin could say anything, the bell rang. Soomin frowned, "Wait a mintue, first check who's there and then open". Soojin nodded. Soomin stayed in the kitchen until she heard Soojin gasp and running to towards her.

"What-", before Soomin could say anything, Soojin pulled her making Soomin stand infront of Junhui. Soomin blinked her eyes. "Uh, come in", Soomin said seeing him still standing near the door.

He slowly went in looking around her house before taking a seat. He cleared his throat before looking at Soomin. "Can I talk with you in alone?", he asked. Soojin understood and nodded going back to her room.

"May I know the reason you are here?", Soomin asked. Junhui looked around avoiding her gaze, "Uh, I need your help". Soomim frowned, "What help?".

"You know whatever our Ceo said today, can you just put an act for once? Only once?".
