Torn Ties
In seasons gone, a friendship bloomed,
Like flowers vibrant and perfumed.
We laughed and shared our hopes and dreams,
Our bond, it seemed, could burst the seams.
But time, it twists, it takes its toll,
And soon, our friendship lost its hold.
The words turned sour, the trust did fray,
As misunderstandings got in the way.
We drifted apart, like ships adrift,
Without a compass, lost, in a rift.
The laughter faded, replaced by silence,
As walls were built, a defense of defiance.
Oh, how I miss the days of old,
When our hearts were intertwined, gold.
But fate, it has a wicked scheme,
To separate friends, burst the dream.
For friendships lost can sometimes mend,
When forgiveness flows, and hearts unbend.
So let us turn the page, dear friend,
And find our way back, on this winding bend.
Though we are separated for a while,
True friendships can endure every trial.
So if you ever need a guiding light,
Know that I'll be there, day or night.
