Hoseok stands beside Dahlia's bedside as they're slowly joined by the entire team: Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, Taehyung, Jungkook, Jimin and Vivian. All of them are staring at Dahlia with wide eyes, some jaws dropped open in awe.

"This is my team of scientists that have been working on you," Hoseok says, still being vague with the entire situation. Dahlia's bed has been shifted into a sitting position so she can take in her surroundings better. "Everyone, this is Dahlia."

"Fuck, she remembers her name," Yoongi says through a breath as his eyes widen even further, wrinkles creasing on his forehead.

Jimin elbows him in the side.

Everyone in the team introduces themselves to Dahlia, and she sits quietly and watches the group of people gawking at her with different expressions on their faces.

"We're gonna talk about some technical stuff for just a few minutes," Hoseok says, smiling as he turns his attention from his team to Dahlia.

She frowns, her ice cold hand moving to wrap around his wrist. "Will you be gone long?"

"No," he shakes his head. "I won't even leave the room. I'll just be over there."

He points to where the other scientists have moved to across the lab, where Hoseok has scattered out some of his handwritten notes.

She nods, letting her darkened fingertips fall away as he moves to join the others.

"So," Hoseok says, and everyone looks at him with a grin on their faces, even Jin. "The necrosis on her fingers, toes and lips is permanent, but not spreading, which I find odd but definitely comforting."

Yoongi frowns. "No fever or other signs of an infection?"

Hoseok shakes his head. "None. I honestly can't fully explain it. Maybe it's not even necrosis. It could be some kind of side effect we didn't anticipate."

"Hypothermia from the cryogenic chamber? She was in there for a long time," Vivian asks, chewing on her bottom lip as she frowns at Hoseok.

Hoseok clears his throat. "I can't rule out anything for now. I need to do more tests and watch it more closely. Good hypothesis, though."

She grins at him, and Jungkook nudges her with his shoulder to send her a small frown. She rolls her eyes and turns her attention back to the notes on the table.

"Whatever it is, it seems to be localized to those three areas It doesn't seem to be spreading, so as long as the existing areas with the tissue damage doesn't seem to get worse, all we can do is keep an eye on it all."

"What about her eyes?" Namjoon asks in a low voice, and Hoseok glances behind him to see Dahlia staring at him, unblinking.

"No idea," Hoseok admits. "I could equate that to injuries premortem, but her file says she was stabbed. Nothing about strangulation that could account for why her eyes look like that."

"Maybe she was strangled and then stabbed but the coroner wasn't competent enough to put it in their notes," Jin mumbles.

"We can't assume anything," Hoseok says. "We can examine her throat to see if there is any residual damage. If so, we can put the possibility of that in the notes."

"Her eyes creep me out," Jungkook speaks up, daring a glance over to Dahlia before snapping his gaze back to the other scientists when he sees her unfaltering gaze has locked onto him. "She looks like a demon."

Hoseok sighs. "She's been through a lot. Don't be so hard on her. Let's get to work. We have a lot to do today."
