part 7~

Ha-rin pov:

Days turned into weeks, and I continued to avoid Jungkook. It was exhausting, but I didn't know what else to do. I felt a strange mix of emotions whenever I saw him from a distance, and I wasn't ready to face him just yet.

One evening, as I was leaving campus, dark clouds gathered, threatening rain. I quickened my pace, hoping to make it home before the downpour. But just as I reached the bus stop, the heavens opened, and rain poured down in sheets.

I dashed under the shelter, already half-soaked. I shivered slightly, watching the rain cascade down, forming small rivers along the pavement. Suddenly, a figure ran towards the bus stop, holding an umbrella. It was Jungkook, wearing a white shirt that clung to his toned body, his veins visible under the wet fabric. He looked effortlessly hot, his hair damp and tousled.

"Ha-rin," he called out, breathless. "Let me drop you home."

I turned away, my heart pounding. "I don't talk to strangers," I replied coldly, keeping my eyes fixed on the rain.

Jungkook sighed deeply. "Okay. Stay safe." He walked away, the sound of his footsteps fading into the rain.

I stood there, my emotions in turmoil. After a few minutes, Ji-hoon arrived, his face concerned. "Ha-rin, did you see Jungkook?"

"Yeah," I said, my voice flat. "But I refused to go with him."

"Why?" Ji-hoon asked, confusion evident in his voice.

"I just wanted to," I muttered, not meeting his eyes.

Ji-hoon sighed and looked at me intently. "Ha-rin, he loves you."

I turned to face him, my eyes wide. "What?"

"He loves you, Ha-rin. He's loved you for three years," Ji-hoon continued. "He's been waiting to show you his best self. He wants to treat you right, to make you happy."

I felt tears welling up in my eyes, but I tried to hold them back.

"The day of your accident," Ji-hoon went on, "he was a wreck. He was crying, begging me to do something to save you. He said he didn't want to lose you. He visited you, but he never came close because he didn't want to upset you. He cried every night, thinking about you. And now, you're going to ignore him?"

His words hit me like a punch to the gut. I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. They streamed down my face, mixing with the rain. I felt a wave of guilt and sorrow wash over me. I had been so focused on my own pain that I hadn't considered his feelings.

Ji-hoon stepped closer and put a comforting hand on my shoulder. "He loves you, Ha-rin. Give him a chance."

I stood there, tears in my eyes, the weight of Ji-hoon's words. "Where is he, Ji-hoon?" I asked, my voice trembling.

Ji-hoon looked at me, worry in his eyes. "I don't know. His phone is switched off."

Without another thought, I ran into the rain, getting soaked to the bone. My heart pounded as I searched for Jungkook, desperation driving me forward. I went to all the places I thought he might be: the café we used to visit, the library, even the gym. But he was nowhere to be found.

Finally, I reached the park, and there he was, sitting on a bench, drenched from head to toe. He looked so lost, staring at the ground. As I approached, he looked up and saw me and stood up.

"Jungkook!" I yelled, my voice breaking. "Marry me or go and die! You have two options, decide."

He was shock and confusion on his face. "Marry you?" he repeated. "Because marrying you is like dying?"

The emotions overwhelmed me, and I broke down, crying uncontrollably. He rushed to me, wrapping his arms around me in a tight embrace. "Shh, it's okay, Ha-rin," he whispered, trying to calm me. "It's okay."

He gently lifted my face to meet his eyes, and I saw the love and concern in them. "I'll marry you, Ha-rin. Because marrying you is like dying... dying in the best possible way, to be reborn with you."

His words melted my heart, and I leaned in, our lips meeting in a passionate kiss. The rain poured down around us, but in that moment, nothing else mattered. We were together, and that was all that mattered.

We stood there, drenched and shivering, but neither of us wanted to move. The park was empty, the rain creating a cocoon of privacy around us.

As our lips parted, Jungkook looked down at me, a playful glint in his eyes despite the rain soaking us both. "Ha-rin, can you dance?" he asked, a smile tugging at his lips.

Before I could even respond, he gently pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Come on, let's dance," he whispered, and without waiting for my answer, he began to sway to the rhythm of the rain.

I laughed, feeling the tension and sadness melt away as we moved together. The rain fell around us, creating a symphony that was all our own.

Jungkook twirled me around, and I couldn't help but laugh louder, feeling a sense of joy and freedom I hadn't experienced in a long time. The rain fell in a steady rhythm, creating a symphony that seemed to play just for us.

Our movements became more fluid as we lost ourselves in the moment. Jungkook's hands were warm and steady, guiding me effortlessly. I looked up at him, his wet hair clinging to his forehead, and his eyes sparkling with happiness.

"You're amazing," he said softly, his voice barely audible over the rain.

I smiled, feeling a warmth spread through me despite the cold rain. "So are you."

We danced for what felt like hours, the world around us fading away. It was just me and Jungkook, lost in our own little world. The rain washed away all the pain and uncertainty, leaving only pure, unadulterated happiness.

As the rain began to let up, we finally slowed down, still holding each other close. Jungkook looked into my eyes, his expression serious but tender. "Ha-rin, I promise I'll always be here for you. No matter what happens, I'll never leave your side."

Tears welled up in my eyes, but they were tears of joy this time. "I believe you, Jungkook. And I promise the same."

He smiled, leaning down to kiss me once more, sealing our promises with a gentle touch. In that moment, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together.
