I don't know what happened but suddenly I am sneaking out of the mansion with this little Pendragon bastard,Xavier. It's past mid night and I was supposed to be in bed but here I am.

And how did I end up here?

I accidentally caught this little rat trying to sneak out in the middle of the night,that too by the window and his window happened to be right above mine. I couldn't sleep today no matter how much I tried so I opened my window to have a little bit of fresh air only to see this little bastard hanging on a rope.

"Seriously,where are we even going?",I asked as I looked around the dark forest where I might be spending my last hours of life.

"You didn't have to come,you know",Xavier says with a little bit of attitude.

Hah! Is this bastard serious?

"It's not like you'll stop if I told you not to go,might as well tag along",I reply. It hasn't even been a day I came here but I could already guss his personality. Stubborn to the core,silently rebellious,and a smartass annoying punk. And noway in hell he'd listen to me if I tried stopping him.

"Fine by me. But I'm not protecting you if anything happens",he walks a bit fast,his black robes fluttering with the night breeze. And I had fasten my steps too because it was too dark to walk alone. Only he had a torch in his hands.

"I'm not asking you to protect me",I say as I fixed my robes so I wouldn't be cold. Seriously,this robe is not enough to keep me warm,just why the heck am I doing this. "Just tell me where we are going"

".....to visit a tomb"

I halted in my steps. Did I freaking hear him right? A tomb? A fucking tomb? In the middle of a night?

Xavier stopped and looked back at me with a smirk,"Scared?"

This bastard! Is he really 15?!

I smiled,secretly gritting my teeth. He is getting on my nerves,"Let's keep going. Haha"

I want to hit him.

I miss winter. The baby is so adorable and I wouldn't mind adopting him but this bastard,I could smack him to hell and back.

"....heard you came with Storm"

I narrowed my eyes,"How do you know?"

Does Hoseok Pendragon discuss these things with his kids? Has he even met Storm before? Because as far as I know,he did not appear in the destiny book. Only Hoseok Pendragon had scenes,and a little mention about his kids. That was all.

"I know everything that's being said and done within my own home"

"You do?",I quirk my eyebrow at him with clear doubt in my voice.

He gave me a side eye,"I have bugged the whole Manor"

"Wait what? You did what? Bugged? H –How?"

Does he mean that he used eavesdropping devices? Wiretap? Jesus fuck,this kid is fucking dangerous! I shouldn't be surprised,he is Storm's cousin brother,nothing is impossible for these ridiculous genes.

"I invented a little device and infused my mana with it in a way it connects with my bodily mana. So I could hear what they say"

"You do know that it is wrong to eavesdrop,right?",I look at him from the corner of my eyes. "And how could you tell me that so easily? Aren't you scared that I might spill everything to your dad?"

"You don't want to get on my bad side now,Heeseung. I assure you, your life is not as half as important to me. I am not the one who promised Storm to keep you safe"

I didn't know what type of expression I made hearing his words. This mad genius knows everything that's going on around,and his words clearly implied that he wouldn't mind ending my life if I open my mouth to utter a single word about his secret. And now I know why he is not scared to share his secret with me,it's because he can make me dance on his palm easily. I am a weak human infront of this Pendragon genius. Is it a mistake to follow him here?

Maybe I should turn around and run back? Why do I care if this punk dies here or not.

"What else....do you know?",I ask even before I could stop my damn big mouth.

"Oh I know a lot. Are you sure you want to listen? "

".....I'm fine,I want to live a long life. Please forget I asked"

"Pfft!",he started laughing,throwing his head back. This devil can laugh? Of course he only laughs at someone's misery! Just wait you little bastard,I will snitch everything to your dad!! Hah!

I so badly want to hit him,please god,give me strength to refrain myself.

"We are here",he says once he stopped laughing.

I look around with eyes wanting nothing but to see why exactly we are here. The moon light was above us giving the extra light to save my poor eye sight. The bastard has switched off his torch for some reason so I can only rely on the moon light now.

And I didn't need to tire my eyes for that long when I saw a closed water well. It looks like an old well with no one to use water. The moon was shining right above the well and it felt ominous to my skin. The chills in my bones did not react in a good way.

"Xavier,what exactly is this place?",I ask.

"The tomb I was looking for"

"Tomb?",I ask as I point at the well. Is he serious? "Tell me I'm blind but that's a well"

Xavier gave me a look before walking towards the well,"Good set of eyes you got there,Heeseung",he sighs before opening the lid of the well. "This is a disguise to hide the tomb"

I followed Xavier and stood beside him before peeking inside. "How the hell do you know about this place?"

"My dad has been coming to this place every once in a month. I had a crow follow him secretly to see where he is heading"

Just in time,I heard a crow crying in a near by tree. "Is that....a real crow?"

"No stupid. I can't manipulate real animals. That's one of my products"

Kill me now.

I feel like I shouldn't even exist next to this kid.

"By the way",I start as I scratch my cheek,"where is the entrance?"

Tell me I am dumb because I feel like he would say something along the lines of  'this is the entrance' and point to the well.

"This is the entrance",he points to the opened well.

"....."

"What"

"....you can see that there is still water in there right? Or is it only me?or are you that desperate to kill yourself? Or is it me that you are trying to kill?"

"You are annoying"

"YOU are annoying!! You little rat!!"

"Who are you calling a rat?! Wanna die?!"

I can't believe I lost my temper. "Winter is my favourite"

"Go kill yourself. I'm going down",Xavier hisses like a pissed off cat and stood at the edge of the well making my eyes go wide. I instantly held on to his legs.

"Are you mad?! Get down! You can't kill yourself!!"

"Let go!"

"No! Think about your parents before you die!"

"What the hell! Let go! I'm not going to die. Let go!"

"Get down first!!"

"You are seriously annoying! Water is just an illusion! There is no water there! If you are that worried,then don't blame me for this",he snatched me by my collar before lifting me up.

He is 15.

He is 15.

HE IS 15!!!

And he is lifting me up like a sac of potatoes!!!

And next thing I know,wind hits my face like a bitch. And I was screaming all the way down to the well.

I don't know when it stopped but somehow,I hear Xavier's voice,"It's over. You can stop screaming"

He let go of my collar making me fall onto the ground on my belly.

"There is....no water?",I ask like a dumb fool.

Xavier sighs as if he is so done with me. Ignoring my whole existence,he goes to a corner of the well and kneels down before touching the ground.

Curious,I stood up and walked closer,looking over the kid's shoulder. There is definitely something there. A carving of a rose.

"What is that?",I whisper.

Xavier does not answer me. He smiles like he had hit some jackpot.

"How are we going to the tomb now?",I ask again.

The kid takes out a dagger from his waist before slashing his palm open,startling me.

"Hey!",I panicks seeing him injured. "Why did you do that?!",I crouched next to him before snatching his palm to see his injury. It is bad. The injury looks really bad! My forehead forms crinkles in worry as I observed the open wound.

"What's with that face?"

"You freaking injured yourself!"

"So?"

Ah.

He is a Pendragon.

How could I forget.

But I can't forget the fact that he is still a child. Children shouldn't injure themselves this badly. This is not like a scar you get when you play.

I sigh before releasing his palm.

"Don't injure yourself,Xavier. It will hurt you"

Xavier seemed to have taken back. His eyes took an expression of confusion as if he wasn't expecting such words. But it didn't last long when he looked down at the rose carving,"Whatever,it's not that bad"

A smile makes it way to my mouth,he doesn't really care about himself,geez,these kids think they are already adults.

Xavier places his palm on the carving,spilling his blood all over it.

I mouth hangs open when the ground started shaking. A sudden fear fills my veins thinking about all the possibilities that might happen but nothing sane comes to my mind. My head is filled with absurd ideas with no meaning at all.

The ground opens separating the rose from the middle.

It's an entrance to a tunnel.

So this is it.

Just whose tomb is hidden under this well?

Why is it hidden like this?

And most importantly,why is Xavier so obsessed with this tomb anyway?
