When Gabriel opened the door,he was NOT expecting to see a noble man tied up against a medical bed with Sunghoon standing right next to it. And there was a girl on a wheelchair on the other side of the bed,watching the noble man intently,unmasked hatred swamped in those eyes wishing for nothing but the man's death.

He widened his eyes in surprise as he watched Sunghoon's gloved hands cutting opening the flesh of the man,ever so delicately like he was in a surgery but the unhinged part was that the victimised man was conscious with no anesthetic drug knocking him out.

"Park Sunghoon!",Jake bellowed,in pure horror as he tried marching towards his cousin but Gabriel blocked him with his hand,a warning in the eyes to not approach the doctor.

Sunghoon did not bother with the intruders. His skillful hands continued cutting the flesh of the man while keeping him in the extremely agonising pain. Sunghoon placed his blades on a silver tray before picking a bottle of white powder which seemed to be salt at first glance.

"LET ME GO!!! IT HURTS!!! YOU!! YOU!! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS YOU BASTARD!!",The man's cries filled the room.

Luna walked forward silently without disturbing Sunghoon while keeping her eyes on Sunghoon like  a hawk. She stood beside the girl who was watching everything like she absolutely needed this sight. She placed her hand on the girl's back and a light purple coloured glow appeared from her touch. She was healing the girl while watching Sunghoon.

"I never actually got to talk to you for real",Luna spoke calmly. "My husband had informed me about your and your friend's arrival with Storm. However,I was in no situation or condition to give you a proper greeting. It was my mistake"

Sunghoon poured the white powder into the slits he made on the man's arms. The screams only grew louder and louder interrupting Luna.

"Tsk,how dare you interrupt my aunt",Gloria grumbled before clicking her fingers and instantly the man's lips sewed shut.

Sunghoon didn't look up,"What makes you think this is a good idea to greet me?"

Luna's lips curved up into a smirk,"Because you somehow interest me. And I believe greeting you comes first before everything"

Sunghoon started stitching the cuts ever so slowly,letting the man feel the extremely torturous and vicious pain. "I will accept the greeting after I'm done here. Right now,I have a client to satisfy"

"You bastard—",Gloria was about to make a scene but Luna raised her palm,stopping her instantly.

"Alright,I will wait for you then"

Both Gabriel and Gloria had their Jaws dropped to the floor. To make the one woman who holds the absolute power wait,.....someone really has to be crazy. And man was it a privilege to be acknowledged by Luna,it was once in a blue moon situation.

Luna stepped away a little but stayed close,watching Sunghoon with studying eyes.

"I want to hear his screams",the girl demanded.

Sunghoon,"You heard her,let the man scream"

Gloria rolled her eyes and released the spell and instantly the cries of the man filled the room again. It was cruel. The man fainted from the pain.

"Let's wait for him to wake up",Sunghoon said casually as he looked at Jenna.

"So,what's up with her",Gabriel asked he walked around towards Sunghoon.

Sunghoon looked at Jenna,and thought for a second before replying,"Patient confidentiality. Can't disclose information though you would eventually find out"

From the corner of the eyes,Sunghoon saw Jake walking out of the room with a sickly pale face. With a face like that,he would be probably vomiting his guts out by the time he got out. Gloria also followed Jake and it became quiet.

"I prefer if you all leave this room",Sunghoon spoke again with a dead serious look in his eyes.

That was all it took for Gabriel and Luna to leave the room too. They should not have barged in at the first place when he was clearly 'busy' with his work.

Once Gabriel and Luna walked out,they saw Jake sitting on the ground with a look of horrified terror in his eyes. It was as if everything he believed in shattered with that just one scene. Sunghoon is his cousin brother,so how could he have never figured out who he really is? Maybe it was because of his personality of looking good in everything and everyone? Or maybe it was because he had been living in a blissful life until he came to this world?

"Jake",Gloria whispered,concern written all over her face as she was kneeling infront of him. "What is it?"

Of course Gloria wouldn't understand. Violence was natural in Pendragon house holds. They see blood everyday. They are trained to kill and torture people in many brutal ways. But to someone like Jake,this was a harsh reality call.

"I –I never knew him,did I?",Jake mumbled to himself as the cold reality sank into him.

Gabriel crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the wall with a look of amusement in his eyes,"Jaeyun or Jake or whatever your name is,this is the real him. A skillful man. Don't be too surprised,he just was not  built for your world"

Jake raised his head to look at him as if he was crazy,"What do you mean he was not built for my world?! He is my damn brother!"

Gabriel's eyes hardened as his eyes leveled onto jake,"Then accept him as who he is. Don't weep around just because he was not what you expected him to be"

"Brother!",Gloria stood up,facing Gabriel with a look of pleading.

Luna sighed loudly before Pendragon siblings could start an argument over the other two siblings. She stepped over and stood right infront of Jake before crouching down infront of him. Her eyes softened to one of her rare motherly gaze,"Jaeyun,look at me child"

Jake's weak and confused eyes filled with sadness,found her comforting eyes,"My child,you really have a kind heart. I have seen it ever since you came to this world. You only see the world with your kind and joyful eyes. And you are extremely fortunate that you could remain like this for such a long time. However,I believe it's time to see the world in a new light. People are not always lucky to remain kind. I actually don't know what happened to your brother but I could say that he is rather a special case"

Jake blinked.

Taking his silence as a sign,Luna continued,"It doesn't matter whether he is bad or not,what matters is how you choose to look at him"

Those words hit right on the spot where Jake needed them.

Luna stood up leaving Jake to think for himself. It would be the best if Jake could figure out his own complicated emotions and feelings.

Gabriel,"Aunt,you seem to a lot more biased towards Sunghoon today,any specific reason?"

Luna smiled as she walked past Gabriel to stand infront of the door of the torture room. "He reminds me of someone"

Gabriel,"Who?"

"Jackson Bishop"

Gabriel's brows hit his hairline,"The Jackson? The greatest divine healer in this world?"

Gloria scoffed from the sidelines with a little eye roll,"You must be kidding me"

Luna,"I am not. This Sunghoon child,he has locked up divine powers within him. And I could see his potentials. It would be a waste to just leave his powers locked up"

In the following second,the screams of agony fell into their ears reminding again what is Sunghoon doing inside the room. With every scream,Jake felt more and more confused with himself. Why has he never seen Sunghoon like this? What was the image he had about Sunghoon again? A grumpy cousin who hates his work more than anything.

Three hours passed. The screams and wailings slowly died down in the room. Everyone waited to hear another scream or two but what they heard was something completely unexpected next.

A soft series of cries.

Jake stood up,and walked towards the door first. His hand paused next to the handle,fingers twitching in hesitation. Eventually he took a deep breath and opened the door.

The naked body of the noble man lied there on the bed,bleeding profoundly from everywhere. Eyes were literally gouged out,teeth out,finger nails were all pulled out,private parts were no where where they were supposed to be.

And Sunghoon,he stood with blood splashed across his beautiful and angelic face,looking like an absolute demon. And,the girl Jenna,she was on the ground,clutching onto Sunghoon's right leg,crying her heart out. And her cries only grew louder as she gripped his leg as if her life depended on him.

"Revenge doesn't feel good,does it?",Sunghoon asked,absolutely no remorse or guilt in his eyes.

The girl shook her head,she tried speaking through her cries and hiccups,"N –No,it doesn't! It doesn't!! It doesn't!!! BUT thank you!! Thank you!!",her sorrowful eyes looked up at Sunghoon's cold eyes,"I thought there was no god in this world to help me! I cursed all the gods thinking they abandoned me!! My lord,but today—today I see!! Gods must have taken pity on me to send an angel like you to me!! You gave me the justice I wanted!!! It hurts so damn much,my lord!! But I can still live now!!! I can still hope to see another day even if it is painful! You are my salvation,you are my angel,my lord!"

Sunghoon blinked,it felt strange to him. He was never thanked for doing these heinous crimes before,one would even deemed him to be a psychopath but to be called an angel? Someone's salvation?

"I am no angel",he said,still cold and distant. "What I did was simply demonic. You don't have to worship my legs like this"

Jenna shook her head before releasing his legs and taking his hands which were not very clean even after he had removed his gloves. He still got blood in his hands.

"Then I will worship demons from now on! You are my demon of salvation",her eyes were crystal clear even with those big tears falling down. She is ready to worship the grounds he walks. She bowed her head a little before placing a soft kiss on Sunghoon's knuckles as a worshipping gesture.

Jake's eyes flickered seeing the interaction. His darkened eyes slightly lightened,as if he understood Luna's words  finally. Sunghoon saved the girl from herself. He saved her soul.

"Justice is not always merciful",Gloria spoke from behind him. "That is the one of the first lessons we learn as Pendragons"

Sunghoon looked away as if to hide his face. He took his hands from her grip and placed one of his hand on her head,"A simple 'thank you' is enough,you are a child after all,I will not expect you to pay me back"

Gabriel smiled slightly with crossed arms. He knew his judgement about the ice prince was absolutely correct. He walked over to them and stood beside Sunghoon,"You did great,you know"

Sunghoon scoffed,"You are not my dad"

"Well,I do have a 'dad' you like so much"

Sunghoon sent him a side glare. Gabriel ignored his glare and crouched down infront of the girl,"Child,let me take you back,you should be resting now"

He picked up Jenna in his hands and was ready to leave.

"By the way",Gloria spoke,making Gabriel stop in his steps. "He killed a noble,what should we do? With no noble background,he would be sent to jail for the crime"

Jenna became restless in Gabriel's arms. "My lord!",she looked at Sunghoon with worry and concern written all over his eyes.

Sunghoon seemed to not care at all. He just snickered,"Whatever"

Jake was taken back by how careless Sunghoon seemed to be about his own demise.

"Well...",Gabriel spoke. "That would have been the case if he was just Park Sunghoon. He is my physician. That makes him a Pendragon house member. If anyone dares touch my person,he may answer the Pendragons"

Gabriel left the room with that bold statement,leaving everyone dumbfounded.

Sunghoon grumbled,"I didn't even say I will and urg,he is annoying"

"Hoon"

Sunghoon looked over at Jake who was staring at him with a look of desperation,wanting to have a conversation.

"It's fine if you hate me",Sunghoon said looking straight into his cousin brother's eyes.

"I want to understand you",Jake immediately said right after Sunghoon's statement. And his statement seemed to have surprised Sunghoon seeing how his brows hit the top of his head.

"There is.....nothing to understand. I feel no remorse or anything even closer to guilt. This is who I am. I can't understand empathy or sympathy. I'm not like your friend Heeseung. I simply.....don't care about anything",Sunghoon chuckled looking at his side,the sound was empty and cold. "I think this is good. It's very good",he looked into Jake's unreadable eyes. "You heard Gabriel. I'm a Pendragon person now. Once you go back,you can forget about me. I have no place in that world we left"

Jake's eyes moistened,his lips parted as if he was trying to grasp the words his brother was saying. "You are lying",his voice came out hoarse.

"You saw what I did today —"

"You can't stay here and leave me alone!"

It was like a harsh slap to Sunghoon. Jake was not talking about his crimes,he was hyperventilating about the fact that Sunghoon wouldn't be going back with him.

"....Jake"

"If this is the real you,the fine! I will accept it!"

"W –What"

Jake shut his eyes tightly,clenching his fists and tightening his shoulders as he bellowed,"We are brothers! Aren't we!! Of course I will not give up on you! When I said I wanted to understand you,I meant,I want to stay by your side and help you share your feelings,you moron!",when he opened his eyes,his tears rolled down displaying a rare serenity of sadness in him. "So what the fuck you mean you are going to stay here and forget about you! You came here for me. Because you care! You consider me as your brother too!! Don't say you don't care when you are right infront of my eyes in this world! You idiot! You big fucking idiot!"

Sunghoon's dumbfounded face stayed for a considerable amount of time before he broke into a genuine chuckle. He stalked towards Jake and patted his head,"Oho,our little Jake has grown up huh? Never knew you actually knew how to cry"

"Say you will not abandon me",Jake looked at him with desperation etched into the face. "Say you will go back with me and Heeseung!"

Sunghoon pulled Jake into his embrace and continued to chuckle,"Shut up,you are such an embarrassment"

"Say it"

"Alright,jeez,I will not abandon you"

Sunghoon purposely avoided the second thing Jake asked. Because even if he went back,he will not live. But he could promise to heavens that he will never abandon his brother. Even if he died,he will make sure to keep him safe.
