Jaykar was inside Seokjin's office,standing beside a body size window,staring outside. In this starry night,he watched his lover lying on the rooftop of the opposite building. He knew that the red eyed man had a habit of staring into stars alone at nights once in a while. He always prefers to watch the stars and moon alone for some reason. So,Jaykar never interfered with his alone time knowing that it must have something to do with his lost memories.

Memories may have forgotten but his soul still searches for something. A broken piece.

"Why did you come here this time? You rsrely visits Pendragon mansion because of him "

Jaykar looked at Seokjin who was still writing some documents in his table. "....."

Seokjin looked up when he received no answer,"You know it's a matter of time he knows what really happened if he stays here. He is smarter than you think"

"That's why I brought him along with me this time",Jaykar said turning back to look at him. "Just....don't let him know until I tell him the truth myself"

If he learns the truth by someone else,there's a high possibility that he would lose Luca forever. How in the world is he going to justify himself after breaking his bond with his soulmate. And letting him stay in the dark for years,he would be devastated. The void in his heart would turn into a wound that would never heal.

"He deserves the truth",Seokjin said.

"....have you heard from sir Namjoon lately?",Jaykar swiftly changed the topic.

"He's been sending reports to me ever since he took the norther territory of the kingdom. But since few months ago,he stopped sending reports",Seokjin's tone was lazed with concerns.

"Have you tried sending someone to check on him?"

"Yes. But they were all returned back with nothing. They said that they saw Namjoon but he said nothing but order them to return back"

Jaykar had a calm yet confused expression,he crossed his arms and stroked his chin,"He is in the northern mansion but he didn't respond to any of your messengers. Didn't even report to you. That's weird. What was the last thing he reported you about?"

Seokjin left the pen on the table and rubbed his temple and sighed,"It's about a weird cult thing. He said that there was a rebellion group creating a cult in his area. That time,he said it was a small matter and he would take care of it. That's all"

Jaykar raised an eyebrow,"A cult? What kind of cult?"

"I don't know. It just involved all the poor people and yeah that's all I know"

"Have you sent a shadow guard?"

Shadow guard was a group of a knights trained to spy in shadows and collect informations. Jaykar used to be the shadow commander years ago but after the war,he resigned. Thus,he knew very well about this secret knight order that belonged to the guardians of the kingdom.

"Shadow guards cannot infiltrate a Pendragon mansion. Their loyalty doesn't allow them to spy on their own masters. Also,even I were to loosen the loyalty magic bond, Namjoon would immediately catch them the moment they entered the mansion. I'm not really sure if it is a good idea to let Namjoon know that I'm spying on him. What if he has a reason to not contact us? I'm just worried I might sabotage any plans he has in his sleeves"

Seokjin wasn't doubting Namjoon,he very well knew that his brother would never ever betray them. And,he knew that Namjoon wasn't a man to fall into someone's tricks that easily. With his brain,he would use the enemy like a dirty rag to clean the floor. That's why he was worried that sending a shadow guard might sabotage his plans.

"Is that why you called me here",Jaykar asked.

"Yes. I need your help"

Jaykar,"But I'm not your shadow guard commander anymore"

"That's why I used the words  'help' and
'Need'. Otherwise,I'd have ordered you to do it"

Jaykar smiled,"Your grace,after everything,you still trust me?"

Jaykar had been a loyal follower of Nabi since day one and this man knew it. It was an open secret among the Pendragon generation who participated in the war back then. But still,they did nothing against Jaykar.

"She trusted you. So,I trust you"

"You shouldn't say such things,your grace. She trusted me because I pledged my loyalty to her. But you are not her"

"But you do know her intentions"

"Oh I do. Very well,infact. That's why I am standing infront of you",Jaykar opened his palm and summoned a butterfly. Soon,it flew away from his palm and left the room through the window. "But,I would not always be a help",he looked at Seokjin. "....I know how to separate what she would have wanted me to do and what kingdom needs me to do",he chuckled,eyes glowing in golden colour,"I am no loyal servant of the kingdom"

Seokjin was painfully aware of what he was implying on,"...are you talking about Storm"

Jaykar,"....."

The grand Duke could only sigh,he seemed to be tired,"Jaykar, I have no intention of harming my own nephew"

"Ashen doesn't seem to think so. And you're his father"

It was natural thing for anyone to think that he would side with Ashen if a war break out between Storm and Ashen. If there come a day to choose between Ashen and Storm,a repeat of the history,what would the grand Duke of the kingdom do?

Seokjin stared straight into Jaykar's eyes,there was no hesitation or double thinking,he had a clear answer,"The kingdom I grew up is different from kingdom Ashen grew up. We faced different hardships. So,just as it is natural for Ashen to defend the kingdom,it is natural for me to desire the destruction of the kingdom. And you seem to have forgotten this, we didn't choose to save the kingdom. We chose her that day. This time too,I would be standing as a Pendragon,not a guardian of the kingdom. I am Seokjin Pendragon"

Jaykar smiled genuinely this time,eyes back to normal. He looked out the window again. Just then,another golden butterfly came in from outside and landed on Jaykar's finger. The smile on his lips gradually faded. A serious look took over his face.

"Your grace"

"Something wrong?"

"Where is lady Luna? Is her grace not in the mansion?"

Seokjin blinked a couple of times before answering,"No. She went to her hometown before you came here. Why?"

"It's Nine. He is asking for lady Luna's assistance since she has the divine hands of Bishop family"

Seokjin stood up,heart racing for some reason,and he had a vague guess,"Why? For whom? Where's Jackson"

Jaykar looked straight at Seokjin,"It's Storm. Jackson was supposed to come today to treat Storm but he had gone missing. Apart from Jackson,it's only lady Luna or her family who have divine healing powers"

"It would take two days at most for Luna to come back. There's a plague in their hometown so portals are closed from there. We can't open a portal from here to there either. It was a royal order to close the portals to stop spreading the plague",Seokjin was slowly panicking,"What's wrong with Storm? Would a normal healer be enough?I can send a healer from the mage tower"

Jaykar shook his head,"Storm is a half devil. Normal healers cannot touch him. Only a divine healer can heal him"

"What should we do then? How is his situation?"

Jaykar squinted his eyes,"His situation,I don't really know but there's someone who can help him"

"What? Who?"

Jaykar fell into his deep thoughts. Actually,there are two people who can help him. Heeseung and Sunghoon. But Sunghoon does not know how to awaken his abilities yet. And I don't even know how long it would take him to master his powers. In that case,I can only use Heeseung. Storm's mate. A devil's mate can probably help him improve his health even though he can't heal Storm.

Jaykar walked towards the door,"I'm taking Heeseung. Take care of the other two"

"Wait!"

Jaykar paused before opening the door and slightly looked over his shoulder.

"Tell me where is Storm?"

Jaykar grabbed the door handle and opened it,"I have no idea"

With that,he left.

Jaykar directly went Heeseung's room and purposely burst opened it with a loud sound. He saw Heeseung jolting away. The boy sat up with wide scared eyes. Upon seeing Jaykar,Heeseung seemed to have lost his soul.

"Get dressed",Jaykar ordered.

"W –What"

"Get dressed. You are going to see Storm"

"Huh? Now? What time is it?"

Jaykar closed the door without saying any more word and leaned against the door,waiting for Heeseung to get dressed. The golden butterfly that came earlier landed on Jaykar's finger again.

"Come here",he whispered to the butterfly.

Somehow,in no time,Heeseung was ready. He came out,tucking his shirt under his pants,looking confused.

"What's going on? Where are Jake and Sunghoon? We need to take them —"

"They'll join later. Now come on"

Suddenly,Heeseung was levitating on the air and when he looked down,there was a bunch of golden butterflies flying underneath his feet. He gasped and almost fell back,"Woah!!"

Jaykar flew out of the hallway from a window and made sure Heeseung was following him.

"W –Wait! Does the grand Duke know that you are kidnapping me?!",Heeseung seemed to get the wrong idea. "Y –You tricked me using Storm's name! Right! Aish! I knew it! Put me down!"

Jaykar landed on the rooftop of their building and kept Heeseung in the air infront of him,letting him struggle in the air. While Heeseung was cursing his existence with unspoken words,Jaykar turned back.

"Say hi to Storm for me",were Jaykar's final words before a pair of hands grabbed Heeseung from behind,lifting him up in the air even more.

"AAAHHHH!! WHATTHEFUCKWHATTHEFUCK!!"

Jaykar watched Nine flying up with Heeseung in his arms. A portal opened up infront of them and they entered.

Jaykar smirked with his hands inside his pockets.
