over, through and underneath
in echo song repeating themes
of all the listless, love-starved dreams

Fading lights on planes of dust
Reach the dark inside of us
Do as we are or as we must
Losing sleep on broken trust

Pare back the poison and the pain
and dose the nerves in our brain
