Those who promised to stay together

Drifted away with passing time

The one who promised to love forever

Fluttered away like a breeze saying

That it was nothing but mere attraction

The work that promised better future

Failed to provide a good life

As it only lead to unemployment

The education that promised to help

During the hardship of life

Turned into mere paper without use

In this materialistic power hungry world

The death that promised the end

To all sufferings had only left me

Hanging at a critical state that

Stood between life and death

Drowning the already suffocated soul

In the sea of suffering

The broken promises can never be mend

As it lied like a broken mirror

In the memories of my life......
