Blair

I know the truth.

For six months I've been in the dark. Not having a single clue on what happened to my sister. Thanks to Drew shedding the light on the matter, I know the truth. I know the truth about Lea's little scheme. And you can bet your life savings that I didn't take it so well.

"So then Scarlett told Mrs. Gina to go f herself and she almost cried. Legit cried. It was so funny, it's all over snapchat," I smiled widely as I spoke every word with enthusiasm, followed by a set of a laughs.

"Yeah," Drew lightly laughed. "Funny story," He seemed uninterested.

We sat at the granite topped kitchenette table in the corner of the kitchen, doing our schoolwork as always. I couldn't help but notice how distracted he is today. Distracted by his own thoughts.

He avoids eye contact and zones out whenever I try to talk to him. Twirling his silver band around his finger, a recent habit I noticed he's picked up.

"Drew," I called his name softly. He closed his eyes and turned his head away from me. Almost as if he's pained to hear my voice.

"Drew what's-"

"I can't take this anymore," He stood from his chair.

I frowned. "What are-"

"I need to tell you something," His blue grey eyes held urgency and anxiousness.

"Ok," My heart rate sped up.

Drew ran a hand over his mouth and exhaled. "I know what happened to Blake."

I abruptly shot up from my seat, the legs of my chair screeching against the floors. "What?"

"Just let me explain," His adam's apple bobbled before he spoke again. "It was me, Lea, Jane and William. We were over here and you know that. But we took her out into the woods to show her some creek and we ditched her there. It was a prank. Lea thought it would be funny. We all did to be honest."

"And when we go back to the creek, she was gone. We all panicked. But Lea. Lea was acting real shady. She told us not to say anything about the whole thing. She begged us. Only because. . ."

He paused for a short while and I took a few steps closer.

"Only because she handed Blake over to some man. It was all planned out. To get Blake near the creek where he took her. Lea helped him and she dragged all of us into it. Not only that, but I. . ." He looked guilty. "I pretended to be interested in her too."

My bottom lip quivered and my vision became distorted from my tears pooling at the linings of my eyes.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner," He paced closer to me. "But every time I look at you. . .it's like I see her. When you talk, it reminds me so much of her," He whispered the last part.

"I'm gonna kill'er," I whispered viscously. "I going to kill Le-No I'm gonna kill you!," I shoved him back.

I kept doing so until we were in the foyer, by the entrance of the house. The fact that he let me have power over him made it easier.

"You knew all this time!" I hit at his rock hard chest, my tears running hot on my cheeks. "You son of a-"

"Alright!"Drew took me by both my arms. I tried to wrangle out of his hold, pushing his chest.

"Blair stop it! Listen to me!"

"What!" I yelled aggravatingly.

"Everything is gonna be fine. Because-"

"Because what," I growled.

"Because I have a plan."

My mother paces around the formal living room and my fathers knee bounces up and down. We're all sat in the formal living room, waiting for Lea and her little squad to get here. . .Drew included.

It was Drew's idea for my parents to invite them over here to simply talk. He's banking on Jane to confess since he knows Jane isn't doing so well with holding the secret. He said it would look better if played along too. To make it seem unsuspicious.

Why he waited to plan this out six months after? Gee, I'd like to know too. I try not to think of it often, or I'll get pissed all over again.

My phone vibrated in my lap and I looked down to a text message from Drew.

drew - remember don't look at me too much, or she'll start to think something is up.

I go to text back a reply until another text appeared below the previous.

drew - ok little taylor?

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

blair - alright i'll try -.-

blair - but what if jane doesn't confess?

drew - she will, your parents don't even have to grill her long. she's an emotional wreck. we got this

blair - this better work. or I'll handle this myself . . .physically

He didn't reply after my last message. I'm guessing it's because they were pulling up to my house right now. My parents noticed and both stood near the door and I followed.

The sonorous door bell rang through the house.

"Showtime," Dad muttered as my Mom opened the door.

"Hi," She flashed a welcoming smile. "I'm Diana," She greeted, motioning them to come inside. They all returned my mothers warm smile and entered the house.

"Formal living room," Dad guided them. Not that they needed one anyway.

Jane and Will took the love seat across from where my parents and I sat. Lea and Drew however, sat rather closely together on the other sofa. Drew leaned over and whispered sweet nothings in her ear.

Gag-me.

"So, could I offer you guys anything to drink?" Mom offered.

Just cut to the chase mother.

Jane opened her mouth to answer but Lea's snippy voice was only heard. "No we're fine."

"Ok," Mom nodded. "So I invited you over here to talk about what's happened few months ago with my daughter. You guys were the last people who saw her before she went missing and-"

"Oh Mrs Taylor," Lea cuts in, giving her a fake sympathetic smile. "We're sorry what happened to Blake, we really are. But we have no idea what happened to her. We're just as lost as you are. It's been months since she's passed," She laid a hand on my mothers knee. "And I think you just need to accept it now."

The audacity.

I reached over and pushed her hand off, folding my arms over my chest. She gave me a startled yet pissed look. Which I ignored.

I trained my eyes on Jane, studying her expressions.

"Yes, we still are trying to accept this tragedy. I just really wanna know if any one of you knew anything," Mom's voice wavered.

Playing the pity card. Smart.

"Well we do-"

"Why don't we hear from the rest of the group, yeah? I'm pretty sure they're all capable of speaking for themselves. Right Jane?" I cut Lea off and direct my attention to her.

She swallowed uncomfortably. "I wish we did know something but we can't if we don't know."

"Would you mind explaining why you were at my house in the first place?" My father chipped in. I could tell they were running out of things to say.

They don't know the story in its entirety because Drew is banking on the confession. He gave them a brief version and it was enough to set them off. But so far, this plan is going down the drain.

"We needed her help on an assignment," William shrugged.

Silence. Silence that's killing me inside. Awkward silence.

I knew this was'nt going to work.

"Well, I guess that'll be all then," Mom speaks up, getting up from her seat. "Thank you for coming."

"Anytime Mrs. Taylor," Lea smiled. A little too widely. I shook my head heaving a sigh as I followed them to the foyer. I caught Drew's expression. He tried not to show any trace of frustration when he looked down to the floor as if they would give him answers. With his hands crammed in his pockets.

"It was Lea," Will turned spun to face us, preventing the rest of the group from advancing to the door.

"Will don't-"

"Shut up slut," I barked at Lea.

"She-She handed Blake over to some crazy man in the woods. We all thought it was just a prank. I swear we thought we would find her after we left at the creek," Will confessed. Lea's face was indescribable. Anger, mixed with sorrow almost. Jane's chest moved up and down and she looked uneasy.

"She dragged all of us into her own mess, we didn't know. I'm sorry," He finished.

Drew then left Lea's side, crossing his arms once he stood next to me. Her strawberry pink tinted lips parted.

My parents stood, baffled. Bewildered. Dumbfounded.

"I want you out of my house," My father gritted. "All of you. Out!" He boomed.

Lea quickly twisted the knob to open the door, and out they went. Drew gave me a wink and I gave a small smile.

My father held out his hand to Drew and they shared a firm handshake.

"Thank you, son."

Drew nodded curtly and left in his own car.

My mother has retreated to some where else in the house and Dad goes to take a seat on the sofa and buries his head in his hands. I walked over to him and took a seat beside him.

"Who would want to hurt her?" He whispered, his voice weak.

Looping my arm around his, I rest my head on his shoulder. He picks his head up and runs a hand over his face.

Our ears perk up when we hear the sound of heels clanking against the floor in a steady beat and a very familiar scent floated in the air. Chanel No. 5.

We turn our heads to face Mom dressed in her sharp black and white striped pantsuit. With her signature bold red lip.

My brows knitted together. "Mom what are you doing?"

She took a few paces closer to us, touching up her loose curled hair. "Sweetie. I'm not a lawyer for nothing."
