Blake

~ the incident part - one ~

March 30, 2015

When I got to school, I walked right into the office to grab a late pass. Lea, Jane, Drew and Will are in my period. There's never a boring moment when all you hear is them having conversations from different sides of the room.

When I walked in, I felt everyone's eyes scorch holes into my back as I handed Mr. Peters my pass. I found my seat next to Stella and take out my textbook.

"That's twice now Taylor," Mr. Peters glared before setting the pass down on his desk.

"One more time and you'll have detention."

"Sorry," I muttered. Stella turned to me and mouthed 'Blair?'

"Yes, she's driving me crazy," I rub my temples in circling motions.

"Yeah what else is new," She breathed a laugh.
"Have you talked to your mom?"

"Nope," I popped the p. "It's not like she ever talks to me anyway."

It's true, we've really had never a heart to heart conversation. I couldn't be upset over something I never had."

Stella giggled. "Yeah true."

"Taylor, your grade isn't getting any better so I suggest you pay attention," Mr. Peters called me out. I heard a series of muffled laughs and whispers around the room. My cheeks flushed out of humiliation.

Class went by with the occasional interruptions by Lea's obnoxious group of friends. Drew made such a mean comment toward Sami, one of the most kind-hearted girls. When she got up from her seat, he thought it would be funny to mess with her.

"Hey Sami, what's that red spot on your butt?"

The whole class bursted out in laughter at her reaction. Lea was astonishingly quiet however. I even saw Stella from my peripheral vision trying to stifle her laugh.

Today we studied poems and wrote analyzations on them. My hand still feels cramped from the writing. I dread coming to to the most, it's my weak point. Thank god there's only 5 minutes left.

"For homework, I want you to write another analysis on Sonnet 145 by William Shakespeare. I want 3 paragraphs," He icily announced to the class. Of course he gives the hardest one to understand.

When the bell rung, I walked out to my locker with Stella beside me. We chatted as I put my ten pound textbook into my locker. When I turned my head, I saw Lea approaching.

Stella and I exchanged puzzled looks.

"H-hey Blake," She stuttered.

"Uh hey," It sounded more of a question. I had no idea what she wanted. Let alone not hearing one of her snarky comments towards me. Her friends waltzed up behind her.

Oh great.

"I was wondering if we could maybe collab on this 3 paragraph analysis thing," She said with hopeful eyes. Jane flashed a friendly smile and the boys nod in agreement. What?

"Uhh yeah sure," I can't turn them down. I would never hear the end of it.

"Great! So can we do it after school at your house then," She planned.

"Sure."

I'm so confused.

"See you then," She beamed. They walked off into the bustling crowd. Drew turned and sent me a wink, a smirk playing on his lips before swiftly turning back around. Stella and I stood there awkwardly with dumbfounded expressions.

"Ok . . . what just happened?" Stella questioned.

"I have no idea," I replied in a trance like tone.

"I bet they just want to copy off of you," Stella predicted as we began to walk to the next class.

"Yeah, but what stunts me is that Lea seemed nervous," I squinted, playing the moment back in my mind.

"Yeah she never stutters," Stella agreed. "Do you want me and Peyton to come over?"

"No its ok, I'll be alright." No you won't Blake.

"I gotta go, but this is yet to be discussed," She pointed at me humorously.

"Alright," I giggled. I made my way through the halls that were slowly emptying. I don't know how I'm going to be able make it through the day being focussed.

I took my seat in Chemistry, when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Stella set up a group chat.

stelbells: girl don't think I didn't see Drew wink at you ;)

peyt: he what?!

Before I could even type one syllable, I flinched when I heard Ms. Laine screech my name. I almost dropped my phone.

"Off the phone," She ordered. Even though twenty other people are on their phones right now. I slipped my phone back into my pocket grudgingly.

As Ms. Laine started to teach the lesson, I sat with my head propped against my fist staring at the clock every five minutes. I tried to not overthink Drew winking at me earlier, he's a player.

What'd he have dust in his eye?

I felt a headache coming on as I tried to wrap my head around the whole situation. Ms. Laine's high pitched voice didn't make it any better either. It was only my second class and I still had the rest of the day to endure.

Thank the lord, I thought as the final bell rung. Ever since Chemistry, I've had a massive headache.

I put my books in my locker and almost had a heart attack when Peyton yelled my name from behind me.

"Jeez Peyt, you scared the living cr-"

"I heard Drew winked at you," She singsonged. Ignoring the fact that I almost had whiplash.

"Yes he winked at me not proposed," I clarified.

"Are you kidding me?! That's a sign he's interested in you!" She hollered excitedly.

"Would you shush!" This wasn't making my headache any better. I'm almost positive she's naming our children in her mind as we speak.

"Ok, I swear I heard Peyton scream from the other side of the hallway," Stella walked up to us.

"Wouldn't Drew and Blake be cute?!"

"Awww B, you're blushing!" Stella poked at my cheeks.

You've got to be kidding me.

"Would you guys stop! I have a bigger situation here!" I deadpanned.

"Oh yeah, Lea and her squad are coming to her house," Stella said blandly.

"No way! Drew is walking over here right now!" Peyton pointed.

Did she not just hear what Stella said.

"Oh my god would you st-"

"Blake?" Drew's velvety hypnotic voice called.

I spun around to face him.

I mean he wasn't ugly. He had these light blue eyes, with specks of gray in them. His thick dark eyebrows and short styled quiff contrasted nicely with his light eyes. His jawline was so sharp and defined it probably could cut glass. He's actually the complete opposite of ugly.

"Uh h-hey," I shook the previous thoughts out of mind.

"We need your address," He smiled. Oh my god his smile. It's like all stars align when he smiles.

Stop it Blake!

He took out his phone and waited for me to speak.

"Yeah, it's 224 Hillside Ave," His thumbs moved rapidly across the screen.

"Thanks," He smiled once more before walking off.

When I turn around, Stella and Peyton were nowhere to be found. They would do that. I knew Blair was going to throw a fit waiting for me.

"Ok, you've got to stop moving like a freaking turtle because I'm over here getting an uneven tan," Is what I heard as I walked towards my car. I quickly unlock the car doors, getting in silently. I really wasn't in the mood to pick a fight.

We didn't exchange any words on the way home. My head was still pounding and I had the loudest kids in my grade coming to my house. Great. This all seems weird to me though, why are they being so nice all of the sudden? They usually just brush me off.

When I got into the house, Blair put her headphones over her ears and marched up to her room. As always. I headed to the kitchen to take an Advil for my headache, the pill slipping smoothly down my throat. My phone vibrated against the granite counter.

Unknown Number: hey it's Lea, we'll be over there in 10 minutes. x

I plopped down on the couch and watched TV until they arrived. The house was already clean due to Mom's insane cleaning rituals. I was really nervous to be honest. What if they think I'm boring? What if they don't like me? What if Blair embarrasses me?

With those questions wracking my brain, I didn't realize that the door bell rung. I felt butterflies in my stomach as I approach the door.

Just be cool Blake.

A/N> hiiii! So That was part 1, there are a total of 3 parts to the incident. I couldn't fit all of it into one chapter. So now you know that the 'cool kids' are all buttfaces, especially Drew 😂.

Vote/Comment if you liked it, much appreciated. xx
