If you don't believe in spirits and ghosts,
Hold my hand as we walk by,
All these haunted kingdoms of the sky,
As screams so loud roar with the winds,
You find me at night in a world full of jinns.

The mad man's reign shall never end,
This is the beginning of our fall,
Lend me a shoulder when we start to crawl,
Towards the graves of men who died by a rock-filled storm.

Find me where insanity lies,
Perhaps in the depths of River Nile,
And take me where the Red Sea parts,
But hold my hand when we swim with sharks,
Yet if I drown and reach the bed,
Leave me be,
It's been centuries since I've slept.

When the dawn comes then you'll know,
If you believe in those spirits and those ghosts,
I fear I'll have to go to Damascus alone,
And when Pharaoh leaves behind all but stone,
The world might stop moving soon,
And we'll only be left with jinns in ghostly afternoons.

a/n : Would it be weird to admit that this is inspired by a scene in an anime, toradora, where Ryuji and Minori talk about love and ghosts?

However, the anime only inspired the idea of a ghostly storytale.

Majority of the poem is based on stories from Abrahamic religions (particularly Islam), for example, parting of the Red Sea, the River Nile where Musa AS was put in a basket and drifted away, the story of the Pharaoh of Egypt & Musa AS, the rock-filled storm which destroyed the tribe of Aad, the silk road which used to cover Damascus and of course, the mention of jinns.

Note : Due to the large following of Abrahamic religions and a lot of narrations of every story mentioned in the sacred books, I think I need to mention that the stories referenced in these poems are strictly one among all the narrations and that every narration holds some moral value.

Anyways, me and my hyperactive imagination are going to take off now.
Hope you enjoyed.
