"Bai Cao!!" They all yelled as Bai Cao fell to the ground.

But seconds before Bai Cao's head could touch the ground, Ting Hao held her in his arms and that's when the police arrived.

Seeing the police there, Yin Xiu ran out from a window.

Some police officers chased Yin Xiu while some arrested the men who were with Yin Xiu and untied others.

On the other side, tears welled up in Ting Hao's eyes. His hand was on Bai Cao's stomach where she was shot. Seeing the blood coming out nonstop, a teardrop rolled down his cheeks.

"Bai Cao, why?" said Ting Hao while he sniffled between words.

Bai Cao kept her hand on Ting Hao's hand. Ting Hao turned his face towards Bai Cao, and with a smile, she wiped his tears with her other hand while saying, "Senior Ting Hao, I need to tell you something."

"No, Bai Cao. Not now."

"Senior Ting Hao, please listen to me."

"No, Bai Cao. We need to take you to the hospital. You can tell me this later."

"Senior Ting Hao, even you know that there are possibilities for that later to never come. So, please listen to me."

"No, Bai Cao, I don't want to listen anything. I know that you will be alright," said Ting Hao.

His tears started falling off his eyes nonstop as he said, "I told you that you will listen to me. I told you that you won't do any stupidity without asking me. Why did you do this to me, Bai Cao? Why? You are really bad."

Bai Cao puts her hand on Ting Hao's cheeks and said, "Senior Ting Hao, please... please listen to me."

Ting Hao lowered his head as he kept crying.

Bai Cao put's her hand on Ting Hao's hand again and said, "I have been waiting for the right time to say this and I know that this is definitely not the right time, but if not now, then I will never be able to tell you that I Love You the most in this world."

Ting Hao was shocked to hear that. His tears started falling with more speed.

It wasn't just something what he wanted to hear for like ages. It was his dream that he will be able to live with the love of his life. Getting to know that she loved him too, at a time when he is feeling that he was going to lose her forever... the pain of it was not just hard for him, but heartbreaking as well.

His dream had become a reality but feeling that it was going to disappear at the same time was just too much for him to bear.

With his eyes fixed on Bai Cao, who continued to smile at him even as tears rolled down her cheeks, his heart ached even more.

As he noticed Bai Cao was struggling to breathe, and her grip on his hand had loosened, he realized something was wrong.

He held her hand and said, "Bai Cao, please... please don't close your eyes. Keep your eyes open, Bai Cao."

"Having you in front of me will never let me close my eyes, Senior Ting Hao. I will die with my eyes open, but I will never close my eyes if you are in front of me, Senior Ting Hao," said Bai Cao.

That's when Shawn came over there and said, "Ting Hao, the car is here. We should take her to the hospital."

Ting Hao nodded and picked Bai Cao up in his arms. They took her towards the car and laid her inside while her head was in Ting Hao's lap.

Chang An and Xiao Ying sat in the same car while everyone else went towards the hospital with the car they came here.

"Bai Cao, please stay strong for a little while more. We are going to reach the hospital. You will be totally fine," said Ting Hao.

Ting Hao kept looking in the front while Bai Cao just kept looking at Ting Hao without even blinking while thinking, This may be only one more time I will see you before I leave. No, it's not. It might still be possible for me to just keep looking at you for a while longer. The only thing I want to do is look at your face, Senior Ting Hao, and I cannot even blink at this moment because I don't know which second will be the last in my life. And I can't lose that second in blinking my eyes.

"Senior Ting Hao!" said Bai Cao.

While they were heading towards the ICU, Bai Cao said, "Xiao Ying, after I go inside, please tell Senior Ting Hao why I didn't confess before. Okay?"

Before Xiao Ying could reply, Bai Cao was taken inside the ICU.

Ting Hao sat on a chair in front of the ICU and kept staring at the door.

It was impossible to stop the tears from falling even though he tried hard to keep them in.

On the other side, Chang An was broken too.

The feeling of losing his only family member, whom he just met, was killing him and seeing Ting Hao, his best friend, so broken, was making it worse.

Chang An went towards Ting Hao and kept his hand on Ting Hao's shoulder.

The teary stare of Ting Hao turned towards Chang An and said, "Chang An, my Bai Cao will be ok, right?"

"Yeah, Ting Hao. She will be totally fine."

Ting Hao hugged Chang An and cried, "I can't live without her, Chang An. Please ask her to be ok."

"Ting Hao, brace yourself. Please," said Chang An while patting his back.

Seeing Ting Hao in this situation, Xiao Ying went towards him and said, "Senior Ting Hao."

"Xiao Ying, I don't want to know why Bai Cao didn't confess her feeling before."

"I am not here to tell you that either. Bai Cao herself will tell you that. I just want you to know that your love made Bai Cao really strong and if you are strong, then she will be strong too. So, please, don't be so broken."

Ting Hao nodded and that's when Shawn and others came over there.

He looked inside the ICU through the window and saw doctors trying to take out the bullet from Bai Cao's stomach.

Shawn went towards Ting Hao and Chang An and said, "I am really sorry, guys. I should have come a little bit earlier. If I would have, then this wouldn't have happened."

"It's not your fault, Shawn. You did your best and if you wouldn't have come, then we wouldn't have been able to bring Bai Cao here. So, don't blame yourself," said Chang An.

"Yeah, Shawn. Don't blame yourself. Well, how did you get to know that we were there?" said Ting Hao.

"Actually, I was really tense thinking about you guys. So, I came to your house. As I reached there, I didn't saw your car and I knew that there is some problem. So, I tracked your phone. The moment I got to know where you guys were, I informed the police, and we came here."

"Oh! Thank you so much, Shawn. If you weren't there, then I don't know how we would have gotten out of there."

On the other side, Yin Xiu was hiding in the bushes while the police were searching for her.

I can't just be here forever. They will find me eventually. Now or in the morning. I must do something. Thought Yin Xiu.

She saw all the side and thought to run from there. She just waited for the moment when no one will be looking at the side she is in.

As she thought that no one is looking towards her, she slowly got up and started running.

But her running made a little sound which was heard by a police officer, and he started following her.

Seeing him coming behind her, she started running with more speed and that's when the officer said, "Stop there or I will shoot you."

Yin Xiu heard that, but she didn't stop.

The officer was left with no option. So, he shot Yin Xiu on her leg which made her fall to the ground.

As she fell to the ground, the officer ran towards her and took her to the hospital.

On the other hand, outside the ICU, Ting Hao kept looking at Bai Cao's pictures on his phone.

Seeing her smiling face was making him smile but cry at the same time.

While inside the ICU.

Since Bai Cao was shot from a close distance, the bullet went deeper inside her, and the doctors were having difficulty in finding the bullet.

"I found the bullet. Bring a gauze," said a doctor.

The nurse quickly brought a gauze and gave it to the doctor.

The doctor started taking out the bullet slowly and slowly.

Bai Cao's heart rate started to drop immediately after the bullet was removed.

The doctor puts the gauze where the bullet was so that she would stop bleeding, but Bai Cao heart rate just kept falling no matter how hard the doctor gave pressure on the wound to stop it bleeding.

"Go bring that machine," said the doctor and the nurse came out of the ICU running.

That's when a nurse came out running.

Everyone was shocked after hearing that while Ting Hao and Chang An were devastated.

Ting Hao stood in front of the ICU gate and kept looking inside.

Inside the ICU.

"Bring more gauze!" yelled the doctor.

Another nurse brought some more gauze and gave it to the doctor. But it was of no use. Bai Cao's heart rate just kept falling and falling and eventually, the line that represented her heartbeat went straight.

Seeing that straight line, Ting Hao couldn't stand properly.

He took a few steps back as he stumbled.

Seeing him like this, everyone knew that there was something wrong.

They all went towards the ICU gate and saw that straight line.

They couldn't believe their eyes.

Chang An turned back and found Ting Hao nowhere.

"Where is Ting Hao?" yelled Chang An.

On the other hand, Ting Hao ran straight to the roof of the hospital and said, "Why? Why do you always have to snatch people whom I love the most? First mom and now, Bai Cao. Why... why... why?"

He fell on his knees as it was impossible for Ting Hao to stop the tears from falling, and he had no intention of stopping them.

There was nothing more he could do except crying.

The fact that he was totally broken now could not be denied.

He took his phone out and kept looking at Bai Cao's picture.

"I never lied when I said that I can't live without you, Bai Cao. Without you, there is no meaning to my life. There is no meaning for me living now that you are gone. You wanted live with me, and I want the same," said Ting Hao.

He stood up and went towards the parapet.

"I am coming to you, Bai Cao," said Ting Hao and stood up on the parapet's edge.

Closing his eyes and stretching his arms, he sighed. As he stood at the edge, he was ready to jump. He was ready to take his own life.
