Chris's POV-

After a long time, a very long time..I can say I am happy. I am satisfied with my life. Things are still not perfect but then when is real life ever without any hurdles.

It's a blend of happiness, melancholy, challenges that might make you want to hit yourself in the head with a hockey stick or just a serene calmness.

Ever since Rayanna had passed away, I had asked myself one question every day.

"Is moving on even worth it? How can I see myself with another person? or even Will Raiya hate me if I tried to replace her mom?"

And the answer to those questions came in the form of a certain little brunette who honestly flipped my life upside down and all in a good way.

Faith was currently serving us dinner and I was just looking at her. Raiya was giggling and chatting animatedly about our upcoming Scandinavian trip.

"Dad, why won't you stop looking at Mommy? It's so funny because your face looks so serious."

Faith gave me a " I know what you were doing..now handle it on your own" smirk and just passed us our plates. She sat down opposite me and continued smirking.

" Well..that's because your Mommy is looking really gorgeous today. Don't you think that?"

I winked at Faith who laughed. Raiya giggled.

"You are being funny, dad. "

I rolled my eyes. Of course she would say that! But I thank god that she is saying this. My daughter is too small to understand this situation..and I will be grateful if this didn't happen until she was atleast 30.

"Now, you think your old man is funny for complementing your mom.Not fair, kiddo."

I gasped dramatically and ate the fish fillet my wife had generously prepared for us.The two females just laughed at me.

After dinner was done,I took Raiya and tucked her bed.

"Baby, do you want to go see mom with me this Sunday? I won't force you if you don't want to.."

Raiya just shrugged.

"Yes, we can go there.I am not scared anymore, daddy."

I gave her a smile and kissed her forehead.

"Good night, sweetheart."

"Good night, Daddy."

Now,I am going to straighten things out with the wife. Faith was sorting out our clothes and humming to her herself. She didn't see me entering the room as she was facing towards the opposite direction.

I sneaked up behind her and put my hands across her waist.The cloth in her hand dramatically fell down on our bed and she swore loudly.

"Chris! You scared me."

I laughed at her and buried my face in her neck. She smelled like vanilla.So sweet and fresh.

"Honestly, don't sneak up on me like that.I almost had a mini heart attack,old man."

I turned her around and glared at her.

"Old man! Really, Faith!"

She smirked.

"Why not? Afterall, you did say you were an old man at the dinner table today.Also, the ten year age gap between us.."

She was controlling her laughter. I pulled her even closer to me and bent my mouth lower towards her ear. I could feel like stiffen in my embrace as she held her breath.

"Well, then your bad. You are stuck with this old man for a while so you better stop complaining."

She surprised me when she put her arms around my neck and looked at me straight in my eyes.

"I don't mind.Afterall, you are decent looking. I could have done a lot worst you know."

And then suddenly she grew a bit serious and continued.

"You know, I really like this side of yours. When you are this playful I forget all about your apprehension towards our marriage."

I kissed her forehead and placed my hand on her cheek.

"I don't think I have any apprehensions. Not anymore, atleast. We have come a long way, Faith. There is still a lot to work on and discover but right now, I can confidently say that I am satisfied with my life. It's happier and you are the reason."

She held my hand and kissed my fingers. This was the first time she had initiated any kind of physical contact on her own.

"I like the sound of that."

I sat down and pulled her down on my lap.

"I am taking Raiya to see Rayanna this weekend. I have been thinking about it a lot lately and I think, I'll get closure this way. She agreed too. It's not too soon for her, is it?"

Faith sighed and ran her hands through my hair.

"You think a lot. Raiya is fine. If she agreed, that means she's ready. She's a lot more mature than we think. Trust me, it's all good now."

I took a deep breath and gave her a small kiss.

"This wouldn't have been possible without you. I can't thank you enough."

Faith rolled her eyes.

"If I hear one more thank you from you again because I helped you in this certain situation or anything, I'll seriously choose violence. It's getting old, honestly. "

She was damn serious and I held my hands up in the air.

"Alright alright, I'll try not to again."

"You better not! "

She buried her face in my chest. We sat on the bed just like that for a while before i broke the ice.

"I know we are cozy and all but I guess I need a shower. I won't mind..if you join me."

She stilled in my arms and looked up at me. Did I go too far? Fuck, i didn't want to mess this up.

" Chris?"

"Yeah?"

"You go, I'll join you after five minutes. I have to sort these clothes first."

I grinned and looked at her teasing expression.

"You know, I have all of the intention of making this more than just a casual shower."

She laughed and hit me on my arm.

"It's just sex, Chris. Shut up! We are not teenagers anymore. It was bound to happen one day. We are husband and wife. "

Sliding my hand up her cheeks I leaned forward and gave her a kiss. It was nothing like the kisses we had exchanged before. Not short. Not sweet.

This was passionate and just crazy. I couldn't get enough of her lips or mouth. Our tongues danced together in perfect harmony. There was no one dominating it or trying to make it wild. We were lost in the feeling of acceptance and pleasure.

Breaking apart for air, Faith was the first one to move away. Her face looked flushed and I could see the pink on her neck and her cheeks. Honestly, has no one ever told her she looks like Snow White! Just a more pretty and gorgeous version.

"Will i be overstepping if I say that I am not kidding about the shower thing? It's high time we get over atleast that part of our relationship. I guess, I cannot control myself around you anymore. "

I said it. Honestly, this was a long time coming. We've been married for more than six months and I think I am losing my inhibitions around her with every passing day.

"You know if we do this there's no turning back. We are going to go at it again and again. I'll be honest Chris, I have a high sex drive. I mean when I don't have it frequently or I am not with someone, it's easy for me to control it. But, if.. "

I placed my fingers over her lips. This woman was God send. Was there anything to dislike about her!

"You know, I want to tell you something. Listen to me, Faith I.. I like well, there's no pressure. I am into slight BDSM. I like dominating people during sex and if we are getting everything out of the bag today, you should know that I like having sex a lot too. A lot. "

She grinned and spread her legs. Now, she was straddling me.

"You know, I think I'll try the tye thing. Just don't go all Christian Grey on me. I didn't know that sweet and simple Christian Crawford had a kinky side.Funny enough, you have the same name. "

I pulled her closer and grinned back at her.

"Oh, believe me my style is very different  even if I share the name with that sappy control freak. Also, you have yet to see a lot more than kinky. "

Faith surprised me when she got up from my lap slowly and removed her shrug. She did it very slow. I know it was all deliberate. She was doing it for my benefit. Such a tease. Her hands were now playing with the hem of her tank top. I did not move my gaze away from her for even a second. Neither did she.

She was backing away slowly towards the bathroom. Moving backwards until she reached the door,this was when she snapped the hooks of her bra and removed it before removing her tank top and threw it on the bed. Right beside me.

Yeah, that did it for me. I got up and did not wait for a single moment before picking her up and slamming the bathroom door shut.

Yeah, we are totally having shower sex today.

Woah. Things have sure changed for these two. It's heatingggggg up😌😌😌.

Also, I know, I have updated. Not a dream or a hallucination.
So very sorry for such a long wait, it's just that I am a final year Masters student and things have become very hectic on the academic side.

Also, I am working part time, so that takes away a lot of time too. It's jam-packed.
No promises but I'll try to update sooner next time.
