Chris's POV-

I had just dropped Faith off to school.I didn't want her to just go alone with what she had informed me last night.

Stalker. Thats just sick. I hope it's not true though.

I had half reached my office when I saw that Faith had left her phone in the car.

Damn.So I turned my car back towards her school.

The school was just like I had remembered.I smiled when I entered the building.

Nothing seemed to have changed.Kids were moving in crowds chatting loudly.

Some were whispering to each other.Some were panicking about the upcoming exams.

There were talks of the upcoming prom and stuff.I just shook my head.High school days were something..

I asked one kid where was the counsellor's office because it seemed that they had changed places since I was a student.

He gave me a weird look.

"Oh you mean the hot new counsellor.Are you one of her clients too?You should see the amount of kids outside her office.Pretty woman.."

He grinned.This was amusing.And funny.

"Yeah actually,I am her husband."

That shut him up.He looked scared and uneasy.

His friend looked like he was also having a lot of fun.

"I told you Dustin..so many times.Keep your mouth shut.You talk so unnecessarily."

He whispered.Not very quiet enough though.

"Uggh,I am sorry sir.I just..you know,I..her office is on the second floor.Third room to the left.I am so sorry again."

That made me just stiffle my laughter.

"It's ok kid.No harm done.Just listen to your friend from now on.."

I just gave him a pat on his back and left the duo.

When I reached the door,I knocked slowly.

"Yes.Come in."

Faith was going through some file.She didn't look at me.

I took the seat.

She then looked up with a smile then gawked.

"Uggh..ok.Hie.What are you doing here?"

I placed her phone on the table.

"You forgot this in the car."

She looked at her phone, went through it and then shook her head.

"I am so sorry.You had to come back.You are late to your work now because of me."

I smiled at her.

"No problem.I don't have any major work before lunch today and this was important.By the way,I heard you are pretty popular among the kids."

She just sighed dramatically.

"Ok.Did any kid talked about a hot new counsellor?"

I laughed.

"Yeah.That one."

She just laughed.

"Yeah.They seem to think of me as the new school crush for some reason.Kind of weird and amusing."

I grinned.

"Well,I think you are pretty.Even I would have had a crush on the hot new counsellor if I was a student."

Faith just rolled her eyes and grinned.

"You know,for the quiet, serious man,you have pretty decent flirting skills."

"I am trying here you see."

She actually giggled.

"Alright.Alright.You are slowly succeeding.Now I have an appointment with a student in about 10 minutes.I will see you at home..we can discuss your flirting skills then."

She gave me a little wink.

Yeah that was kind off suggestive.I liked the scenario.

Something had changed between us.Things were light,less awkward.

"Ok.That would be interesting.By the way you don't have to wait till we get home,I am picking you up after school."

She frowned.

"No you don't.I will go home by myself and I get off at 4.You get off at 7.I don't see why you  leaving work early and dropping me home would be appropriate."

"Well,last night you told me you have a stalker on your head.I am not leaving you alone until I feel secured that it's nothing or if there is someone,when they are caught."

She just glared at me.

"Fine.You are most welcome but just so you know,if I get off before 4..I am taking the bus."

I rolled my eyes.

"Please call me.Hey,we will go pick up Raiya if you let me pick you up."

That caught her attention.

"Now you are talking!Ok.I'll call you and then we'll go pick Raiya.My god I miss her so much."

She grinned.Yes,she is very bipolar.

I smiled and left her office.

The day went slowly.Nothing unusual happened.

Eddie was still complaining about his personal life.Tristan had just called to inform me that Sonia would be spending her weekends with him.

Yep.The day went well.

My cell phone rang.It was Faith.

"So,i'll pick you up in half an hour?"

She seemed to be practically vibrating.Yes she was excited to see Raiya.

"Yes.Come soon."

I smiled and took an early leave.I was the chief engineer and it was easy for me to get out,with all the extra work I had done before the holidays;I would be surprised if my boss would act cranky with me.

When I reached school Faith was already standing at the gate grinning from ear to ear.I chuckled hard when I opened the door for her.

"Come on,in.I don't think I have ever seen you this happy!"

She smiled.

"Are you kidding me! It's not everyday that your daughter comes back after a long stay at their grandparents."

I laughed.

"It's only been three days."

"Right.And that's a lot."

I shook my head.Faith had me take a stop at Walmart.She bought some candies, yogurt and packet of cupcakes for the girls.

"The yogurt is for you and me."

She passed me my cup and I smiled.

"How did you know that I liked mango yogurt?"

She rolled her eyes.

"I have seen you sneaking like so many off them during breakfast."

We finished our snack and drove forward.

I could see the girls playing in the garden.

As soon as they saw my car in the entrance they came running.

Faith got out and engulfed both of them in a hug.

"I missed you girls so much.Sonia,you are having fun here,right?"

The little girl grinned.

"Yes.Raiya and I made a camp last night.Aunt Nysa and Mommy made lots of snacks for us.Grand ma let us have her own camp tent too.And you know what?Grandpa joined us in the camp too.It was so funny when he told us the story of how he met grandma for the first time."

She giggled.Raiya also started giggling.

"You know Mommy,I missed you and dad so much.But this time Sonia was with me so it was a tiny-tiny bit less."

Raiya said and Faith dramatically looked at me,I stifled a laughter.

"Ok.I get it.So I think you girls should not even get the cupcakes and candies we got.I mean they missed us a tiny bit less."

I said and Raiya just gawked.

"Oh no,no,no.Missed you guys lots.Now candy?"

Faith started laughing.

"Come on,you two.Lets meet your grandparents and auntie.Daphne will be so excited with the news we have for her."

She smiled.

Yes.We found her a nice house.Actually the house,in which Faith was staying before we got married.The house next door.

I mean yes,we would be moving soon but that house was perfect for the duo.Faith had pitched in and called the owner who happened to be David's(her brother in law)friend.

They were all having coffee in the living room.

"Wow, look at you guys!All matching."

Nysa shouted as soon as we entered.

I looked at Faith.Yes we were both wearing black jackets.

"We didn't even realize that before you pointed that."

Faith said and slumped down on the couch.

Moose came running and started licking my hands and then went to Faith to do the same.

"Yes buddy!we missed you too."

She gave Moose a light hug and then he went off to the girls who were enjoying their cupcakes and candies.

"Faith,you had texted me you got news for me?"

Daphne said.

So we told her about the house.She got very happy and hugged Faith.

"Thank you.Thank you so much."

"Hey,we are family."
My mom had nudged her and said.

All of us whole-heartedly agreed.

Then I looked at Faith,she understood what we were to announce.

Even Raiya didn't know.

"Ok,umm Faith and I are also moving."

"What! where?"

Mom looked so surprised.Dad gave her calm down look.

"Mom! it's not across the state.Remember that house I used to look and just gawk at."

"Oh my God!you bought that mansion?The Red one?"

This time it was Nysa who squealed.

"Yes.We got that house."

"It's so beautiful.I love it.I can't wait for Raiya to see it and then there is a whole nice backyard.We can make a mini swing and also maybe a pool."

Faith grinned.

"Remember when we used to pass by the house,Chris always used to take his head almost out of the window to look at it.It was so funny."

Dad said and all of us laughed.

"Yeah,now it's my dream come true.We will be moving in two weeks so there's going to be lot of rush until then.Faith also plans to have a little house welcoming party."

I looked at Faith and she smiled.

"Yes.Nothing very extravagant though because Raiya's birthday is also coming and we plan to throw a nice Harry Potter themed party for her.She has been crazy about those movies and giving us little hints."

"Harry Potter huh? That's so cool."

Nysa whistled.

"Hey by the way, how's the leg?"

I asked my sister who shrugged.

"It's alright.I can move without help now but the doctor said that the cast would stay for at least a month more."

Then I remembered something.I looked around.

"Mom, where's Tristan?"

"Oh,he is at Rebecca's.Told us he will come during dinner."

I looked at Daphne.She seemed a bit upset.

"Ok."

Rebecca and Tristan have had this weird friends with benefits thing going on since the last five years.

I hope things don't get very messed up between them now that Sonia and Daphne are here.

Faith seemed to notice Daphne too.She had swiftly changed the subject and started talking about our mini Europe vacation during Raiya's spring break.

"Wow guys! it's like everything is so planned for you three.Faith,you have seriously nice organisational and planning skills."

She just shrugged.

"I used to get inspired by Monica from friends a lot.But then,I don't have OCD and niether am I too competitive."

"Chris bro!you got a good one."

I just smiled.

I believe I had lucked out with Faith.My second marriage was proving to be pretty nice and we were compatible.

But even today,I think about Rayanna.She is just irreplacable.I don't know how I should break it to Faith though.She is absolutely the nicest person around and I don't want to disappoint her.

The awkwardness between us was slowly fading away..but is it enough?

So the next update is here.As you can see that I have changed the name of the story too as I felt that this one suits it much more.

Whirlwind.. because for our couple it has been a journey so smooth and spontaneous.

Things are slowly moving forward for Faith and Chris.Raiya seems to be happy and content now.They are in a good place..but will it be enough for what the destiny has decided for them?

It's chapter 18,this story won't be much longer than a maximum of 35 chapters,maybe even less.Lets see.
