Angela's POV

*

Eros thought it was a good idea for us to visit his parents since I hadn't been there since the kidnap happened and we decided that it'd be great to even spend the night there.

Well, it was a good thing because I'd missed Ritalin and her pretty daughters so much since we now only spoke on phone sometimes. Also, I would finally get to see Geronimo and Catalina since I was very curious about how far their relationship had progressed. I wondered how they were doing and if things were now going well between them, even though this wasn't really my job to poke my nose.

Immediately we arrived at the mansion, one of the men approached and whispered something to Eros who nodded at my bodyguard and Nate left us afterwards.

"Let's meet some of my brothers you still haven't been introduced to." He told me as I thanked the chauffeur who opened the door and welcomed us.

I followed Eros but my brows scrunched up. "I thought you had only two brothers?"

"Yes baby, but I call these guys my brothers too. We grew up around each other." He explained as we went in. He snaked an arm around my waist and I immediately felt the warmth from his body on my back.

I nodded and followed him past the living room, noticing that there was no one there. "Where's everyone?"

"The twins aren't around and the boys have gone out as well...and Malia also went to see a friend. Madam should be around somewhere, probably in the garden or kitchen. Sir and Luca should be in sir's study." The chauffeur replied me, leading the way.

We entered the passage and walked down before the chauffeur left us to go about his own business and Eros opened the door to one of the rooms.

"There are so many rooms in this mansion." I commented, pausing at the entrance as I looked down the passage. This mansion reminded me of Luca's mansion which was equally as big as this, if not bigger. I understood that Luca had so many bodyguards and he was running his organization in his house as one of the branches but Eros's dad was merely a businessman.

Why did he need so much rooms with just six children?

"My mom has always liked the idea of having a large house so if she found anyone who had issues with accommodation, probably more than one person at a time, she could give them shelter. It has something to do with her upbringing." Eros explained as we stepped into the room.

"Oh. That's a beautiful idea."

I looked around at the large room with the blue theme. All the tables in this room had laptops or some other type of electronic gadget on them. It was neatly furnished with so much gadgets and two large screen TVs.

"Look who finally brought sister in-law to visit after so many months." A man with dark horse hair yawned and stretched on a white swivel chair, observing me with piercing hazel eyes.

There was someone else on the far end of the room also hunched over a laptop, a headset plugged in. He looked alike to the one yawning with physique, hair and from the side view, I could say they looked so much alike facially as well.

Eros ignored him and led me towards a couch where we took our seats. "These two guys are my cousins, Donatello and Tony Amuso. You shouldn't move too close to Donatello because he's a woman eater and won't mind flirting with other people's women." He told me with a straight face but I didn't miss the scowl threatening to break onto his face.

I giggled and watched him throw Donatello a glare as the man got up and stretched further, exposing his waist where I could see a beautiful ink peeking. It seemed so many of them had tattoos in his family. Donatello finally came to stand before me, stretching out a hand.

"Hello Angela, it's nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you from my cousin here but everytime I request a visit, he'll always reject it. I'm Donatello Amuso and over there is my brother, Tony. I'm sure you have so many admirers complimenting you because you're really so pretty."

I blushed a little when he threw me a wink and shook his outstretched hand. Donatello was good looking, I wouldn't lie and I could tell from his actions that he knew Eros didn't like him talking to me that way. He gave me a dashing smile when Eros tightened his hold on my waist.

I returning the smile. "The pleasure is all mine, Donatello. I'm Angela-"

"And she's mine. Are you done with the stuff I gave you?" Eros glared at Donatello who still had my hand in his hold.

I pulled my hand out of his and watched them both interact.

"It'll last up to a month and you expect me to finish it in what? Two weeks? Are you kidding me?" Donatello smirked at him and went back to continue working on the laptop.

The other man with headset plugged in suddenly looked up, went back to what he was doing and did a double take. He took off the headset, a smile curling up his lips as he also got up and approached us.

"Good of you to finally join us, loser." He scoffed at Eros and then smiled down at me. "You finally brought her to see her in-laws. Hello beautiful."

"Hello Tony." I smiled at him since I knew that was his name, shaking his outstretched hand without getting up.

"Oh, she knows my name. Is this a sign Lord?" He asked dramatically and I giggled. "It's nice to finally make your acquaintance. This man rejected all our offers to pay a visit as if we would steal you from him. Anyway Eros, I hate to cut this beautiful introduction short but I have a date. I've sent everything as asked so send my money. It's a good thing you have my account number." He went over to pick a blue jean jacket and left.

"Do you all have tattoos on your bodies in your family?" I asked because I knew Eros had too, just not on the lower part of his body.

Eros shifted in his seat. "Why are you suddenly so curious about that?"

"I caught a peek just now when he stretched and-"

"Do you want to see my cousin's tattoo? You want to see another man's waist all of a sudden?" He frowned with displeasure, his lips pursing into a grim line.

Where did he get that idea? I merely asked a question because I wanted to know more about his family than I already knew.

"Well, I'm simply curious." I shrugged.

"Have you forgotten that it was curiosity that killed the cat? Your curiosity will earn you punishment, woman and you know it. Either in my presence or in my absence, never talk of another man's body."

"Or what?" I whispered tauntingly, eyeing his lips. "It's not like I described anything. I merely asked a simple question."

I stole a peck and watched his eyes darken as he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Or you'll get a good scolding...or spanking from me baby. You should think of only my body all day long if not I'll teach you a very sore lesson." He told me seriously, watching me lick my lower lip while eyeing him with with a docile expression which I knew would always melt his heart.

"Relax Eros, you don't have to get jealous just because she asked a simple question." Donatello butted in, earning him another vicious glare. "You're right, sweet cake. We all have tattoos in the Del Peiro household and we make sure to lay emphasis on our lower parts. It's part of the initiation rites as a member of the mafia. But Eros doesn't have much because he's uninterested in anything related to the mafia."

"Fucker." Eros muttered in displeasure.

Donatello wiggled his eyebrows, not caring about my fiance's glare.

Eros got up and I did the same. "Let the third copy be ready by the time we're leaving." He told Donatello who merely mimicked him as we left.

"Why are you being so rude to your cousin?" I asked him.

"He was eyeing you like a piece of cake." Eros muttered. "I don't like other men's eyes on you Angela, I'm a very jealous husband."

I had no words for that. After all, I found his jealousy sweet and cute. Also, did he just call himself a jealous husband? My heartbeat skyrocketed and butterflies danced giddily in my stomach.

We went to Ritalin's room and Eros barged in without knocking.

"Yes honey, there-" Ritalin yelped and jumped out of her husband's hold when she heard the door burst open, eyes wide as her husband turned around to glower at the person that dared to interrupt him and his wife when they were having a very intimate moment. "Eros, Angela, welcome. How come you didn't tell me you'll be coming over this morning?" Ritalin squeaked.

"The door is there for a reason, son. Don't you know what they call 'privacy?" His father asked instead, nodding at me when I rushed out a greeting due to the awkwardness.

My cheeks were probably as red as Ritalin's as I avoided their gazes, pinching Eros's waist. It was his fault for not knocking before barging into someone's room.

Ritalin was wearing khaki shorts and a blue camisole, with her hair cascading over her shoulders and down her back. I'd never seen her dressed so casually but again, she could dress this way since she was in the comfort of her home.

She looked younger than her actual age and her blushing face did not help matters

"We're s-so sorry for interrupting you th-that way. We'll leave and you can just continue with your own private discussion." I stuttered and dragged Eros by the elbow but he just remained rooted in the same spot.

"Leave us for a bit Angel, I'd like to have a discussion with my parents."

"Oh. Don't take long, okay?" My request was subconscious and I looked away again when his parents gave me knowing glances, especially his dad.

"He won't." His dad replied me with laughter in his eyes while Eros chuckled.

I left them and roamed around the house. What could I do in such a big house when even his sisters weren't around?

I strolled out and went to the garden to get some fresh air and clear my head but there was someone else there.

Brenda.

Eros had told me about her. She was the one that sold information about my location to Pedro and that was the reason I was kidnapped despite the tight security. I didn't hate her, even though I should since she was so obsessed with Eros and Eros had also discovered - after my kidnap- that Brenda was the one that devised several means to get rid of all the girls in Eros's life in one way or the other.

"Angela?" She asked with wide eyes, calling my name with such familiarity as if she'd known me for so long.

"Hello there, stranger."

She looked away. "I would not say it's nice to make your acquaintance."

"Ah, yes. You can say the same for me, dear." I sighed. The garden was so beautiful and full of so many flowers. Daisies, roses, hibiscuses and so on.

"I- I wronged you, and I would like to apologise for it." Her expression was tense. "I should have settled my score with Eros instead of taking it out on you. I thought you were...one of his women. I was waiting for him to get tired as usual and..." She trailed off immediately she turned around.

"Well, you'll have to keep waiting. Miss Angela, Eros would like to see you and I have been asked to escort you. Also, whenever he's not with you and you're not at the condo, please make sure either I or Landon are always with you. The enemies are always lurking around." Nate told me in a stiff tone, eyeing her.

"Oh." I nodded.

"What crawled up your ass, Nate? You've been moodier than usual since...a while now." Brenda eyed him, placing a hand on his chest and tracing her finger up his neck.

"I wouldn't have my hand up there if I were you, Brenda. The sooner you get over your feelings for Eros and understand that those two are getting married soon, the better for you." He told her in a low voice but I still managed to hear him.

Something flashed in Brenda's eyes but it was gone as soon as it came. She took a step back and cleared her throat.

"You don't have to get jealous." She told him, smirking.

"What? Are you trying to say I'm jealous of your affections over other men? You can fawn over any man you feel like, I don't give a single damn!" He stated through gritted teeth.

"I'm sure you don't give a damn. After all, last night you said something akin to this. Didn't you?"

I cleared my throat. "Eh, let's go Nate. I'm sure Eros must be waiting."

"Of course miss, sorry for the delay."

He nodded and led the way, but not before giving Brenda one more frosting glare.

Was there something between Brenda and Nate? There was so much anger between them but I could also sense...dare I say it, some sexual tension between them.

Did they have a history together?

I sighed and just pushed this to the back of my mind.

Nate's phone rang just as we entered the passage leading to Ritalin's room where I'd left Eros earlier on and he was reluctant to pick the call but I told him I would be fine on my own and he could leave.

We were in the Del Peiro household, for goodness sake. This was probably the safest place I could be. Also, there was no threat on me any longer.

I got to the entrance of Ritalin's room and was about to open the door which was slightly ajar when I heard someone snap. It was a very bad thing to eavesdrop on other people's conversation but right now...I still did just that.

"You know she can't just-"

"No Eros. I know no one is coming for her like in the past, but I am worried about my daughter in-law. You should've been wedded if not for what happened... I can't allow something like that to repeat itself, regardless of whatever you say."

"That was in the past, mom."

"Well my decision is final! Don't fight me on this one." His mother snapped, her voice shaking as she caressed the pendant on her neck.

"It's just a dress rehearsal."

"Well I have enough rooms here in this mansion and they are quite spacious. Let her have the dress delivered here."

"She won't take long there, mom."

"She won't take long here too." She replied with a tone of finality.

"Dad, talk to your wife. Having this conversation alone has added five years to my actual age." Eros sounded weary already. I couldn't see his father from where I was peeking but he was somewhere there in the room.

"I have nothing to say to this, son. Your mother is firm on this one and I don't see anything wrong with having her do the dress rehearsal and testing here. We are equally worried about her."

Eros nodded. "Fine. I understand. I just want Angela to be happy and have an actual bridal rehearsal or whatever preparation women make before their wedding."

"Don't let her hear you say that." His dad whispered, sounding appalled on his son's behalf.

"He's right, Erosio. Women cherish such things. Besides, her mother came up with this idea. She will be out of the country for some important issues throughout this week and she feels-"

"I get it mom." Eros pocketed his hand. "Why didn't you tell me about this before now? We packed for only tonight."

"We know how stubborn you can be. You and your father are alike. Stubborn men!" She sounded wronged, glaring at Eros who had now turned to face her.

They had a staring contest so I took a few steps back and walked in the direction I was coming from before someone noticed I was eavesdropping on them.

So Ritalin wanted me to have the dress rehearsal at their family home because of what had happened at the mall that day? I shook my head and realized that the situation had been deeper that I anticipated.

My kidnap had everyone worried. Even my mother in-law. And since my mother gave her this idea, she'd have even been more worried about my well-being.

Their decision was okay.

"Why?! Why did you leave me so soon?" The sob came from a room and I paused in my tracks.

"Catalina?"

I heard stomping and then the door flung open. In the next second, she had her arms around me in a hug.

"What happened?" My stomach was in a knot. Did her boyfriend get into an accident?

"My mom. She's dead. She's gone. They killed her!" She choked on her sobs.

Who?!
