The heavy smoke oozes out his parted pink lips, exhaling the heavy weight of the stress of being with so many people inside that ballroom. Usually Karma is not much of a social person, despite being a somewhat celebrity. Sure he's a musician, but not like he likes being sworn by attention often, or is. In a way, maybe that's why he's so popular; people like a little bad boy image.

So V highly believes that to be the case.

Don't get Karma wrong, he's not an asshole. When it suits him he is. He just doesn't like people digging into his life. His reputation that he ignores people or calls out bullshit in public interviews is very much true, he just prefers not having a filter to who he is.

But anyways, that went on a tangent, bringing back to the present to Karma still outside as the whole reunion ends. He's seen a few familiar faces already leaving, including Jeongguk with his family. Maybe Karma did spare a few words when it came to him since, after all, they are like family since he's really close with Taehyung. Other than that he's just been ignoring everyone while he takes hits of his cigarette and goes on his phone.

Thankfully he doesn't really have to worry about dispatch while he's outside. Despite being a celebrity, he's not as popular as one would think. He's more known internationally but not in Korea. Maybe it's the tattoos or that spoiled innocent boy image being stained, whatever, but no one really bothers with him unless it's when he releases music; To which he doesn't even go to promotions for.

Maybe he is an asshole huh?

Well, at least it maintains his private life private.

A small smirk suddenly twitches his lips when he sees a text from Tigresa, followed by a picture of Taehyung and Irene talking. The cigarette remains on his lips but he blows the smoke from the corner of his lips, leaning his head back against the bricked building that shadows his body with a black bandana pushing his red hair away from his face, perhaps letting a few strands fall forwards but not like he can do much about it.

Ah little Taehyungie finally rekindling his high school.

She better have learned from last time either way.

"Wait, wait! Can you just- Ugh wait!"

Karma's attention moves from his phone and to where the voice came from, his lips dropping to a frown upon seeing Lisa chasing after the man she's been with all night.

That wasn't really what concerned Karma at first, since he doesn't really like getting involved or whatever when it comes to people and their relationships, but his eyes did narrowed when he noticed black tear stains gushing down Lisa's cheeks when she suddenly stands in front of her boyfriend.

Shit, what was his name again?

Ah, clearly irrelevant.

"I'm not going anywhere until we fix things-"

"You're seriously making a scene right now, how do you honestly expect me to talk to you like this?"

Karma stands up straighter after hearing the other male's tone, taking a deep intake of his cigarette as he watches Lisa squeaking a little with lips wobbling. However she still tugged her boyfriend's arm, taking deep breathes.

"I-I'm not, I'm just trying to t-talk to you," Lisa whimpers quietly, hiccupping her breathes, "I wasn't flirting with that guy, I promise."

Clearly Karma can't see the guy's facial expression, but he did see how he yanked his arm away from Lisa's grasp a bit too aggressively, "I saw the way you were looking at him, I'm not fucking blind. You just wanted to bring me here for what? For me to see you eye fucking other people-"

"I WAS NOT LOOKING AT HIM LIKE THAT!"

Wordlessly Karma throws the cigarette to the ground, stepping on it before scrunching up his black button up shirt by the sleeves on either arms. He knows he shouldn't be getting involved in other people's problems, but Lisa not only is Jeongguk's sister but she was one of Karma's closest friends in high school.

Seeing her scream in a voice of pure desperation as though she was ready to lose her mind is clearly something Karma can't just stand by and watch. She was never like this in the past, letting someone give her a hard time and for her to give this much effort for them to understand how she's not wrong- No, Karma has never seen her like this.

And he knows damn well Jeongguk hasn't either because this man wouldn't be standing here now if he did.

"See now you're causing a scene, don't you feel embarrassed?" The man had the audacity to scoff, shaking his head dismissively before grabbing her wrist, "Whatever, we'll talk about this at home-"

"No, she won't."

The two snaps their eyes to the dark shadows, to which Karma emerges from the shadows like some sinister demon. Lisa's face twisted to a mix of shock and humifaction to the fact that he had to witness this, but Karma's attention is only focused on the said boyfriend when he stand in front of him.

The other male only narrows his eyes to Karma, "And you are...?"

This made Karma twitch a grin, feeling his blood start to boil, "Doesn't matter, but wouldn't hurt to treat your girlfriend better, yeah?"

Suddenly Lisa got in between the two, her teary eyes focused on Namjoon, "L-Let's just go, yeah?"

"Is he one of your fuck buddies or what?"

Before Karma even had the chance to say anything, Lisa discretely tugs Karma's shirt, snapping his attention from the boyfriend to her. Her lips are wobbling but she still shakes her head, "P-Please don't get involved."

"He's talking to you in that tone, how do you expect-"

"You're only going to make it worse!" She suddenly says, making Karma's words slap back to him, especially when her hand grips her said boyfriend's arm, "J-Just please don't tell Kookie about this, okay?"

Karma stares at her. The same girl he use to see draw graffiti at abandon buildings, would snap at anyone who tried to mess with her friends back then, and the one who always smiled the brightest because she believed life was infinite.

That same girl is a fragile and shaking mess, the once powerful confidence gone while being coated with pretty accessories and clothes to disguise how weak she has became.

And Karma didn't do anything.

He didn't do anything more as she and her boyfriend walk down the parking lot to their car, let alone say anything to keeping her promise about this. What really struck to him from speaking out is the fact that she said he would make it worse.

Whatever he did or said at that moment would end up worse for her.

That was enough weight to keep Karma planted where he was, about to dial Jeongguk's number but let the screen fall blank instead as Lisa left in the same car as that monster.
