Chapter 7
Update :)
Sophie's POV
We were all sitting in the living room of Havenfield, hot chocolate mugs in our hands. I smiled to Keefe, who was sitting next to me with a milk mustache over his lips.
"What is this stuff, Foster?" He asked, taking another sip of the delicious chocolate liquid. I smiled and looked at everyone take another sip of their hot chocolate.
"It's stuff my human family would make for me when it was cold outside and I was tired," I told him. A few tears prickled my eyes at the remembrance of my good childhood memories. Keefe must have noticed the few tears slipping out of my eyes and dropping into the chocolate. He reached up and wiped my eyes with his tunic sleeve.
"Don't cry, Foster. You'll ruin the hot chocolate," he told me, trying to get me to laugh. I smiled and let out an ugly snort, putting my hot chocolate on the table next to me and wrapping my arms around his neck. I snuggled my head into his shoulder, not caring if I ruined his shirt. "Foster, it's alright," he told me, quickly setting his hot chocolate down and lifted me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me into another room. He sat on the guest bed and patted my back until I sat up and wiped my tear stained cheeks. Keefe's beautiful blue eyes met mine as he leaned forward and lightly kissed both my cheeks.
How did I meet such a wonderful and brave girl?" He asked, his voice cracking at the end. I smiled and a few new tears came to my eyes. He let out a heartbreaking giggle and wrapped his arms around me. "How did I deserve such a beautiful, kind woman like you?" He asked, snuggling his head into my shoulder. I smiled, sadly and let a few tears drip down my cheeks. My hand ran through his soft golden hair, that had dried from the conditioner incident and few hours ago.
"How did I meet such a funny, adorable boy like you?" I asked him, pulling his head off my chest and wiping his wet cheeks. He smiled.
"By adorable do you mean devilishly handsome?" He asked, smirking as he raised an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and giggled.
"If your definition of devilishly handsome is the same definition as my cute puppy then yes, Keefe. You are devilishly handsome," I told him, booping his nose. He smiled and pulled me down on top of him as he laid on the bed. I rested my head on his arm and let the blond haired boy play with my golden locks.
"You two lovebirds up for a game of truth or dare?" I heard a voice ask from the hallway after a few minutes. Keefe looked up from my hair, glaring at the person at the door for ruining the comfortable silence. He looked down at me and I tiredly shook my head. He smiled when I yawned and closed my eyes.
"No, we're fine here. You guys go ahead," he told the person. The door closed and Keefe pulled me up higher on his chest so my head was resting on his collar bone. He sighed, happily, wrapping his arms around my waist and letting me drift off to the sound of his drumming heartbeat.
3rd Person POV
"Guys, they don't wanna play," Biana told the group, coming back from the room. Fitz rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath and Tam did the same.
"Alright guys, let's do this," Linh told everyone. The teens sat down in a circle on the ground. Grady and Edaline were outside working with the animals so the teens were free to do anything they wanted until sun down.
"I'll start, truth or dare, Biana," Dex started, directing his attention to the brown haired girl. Biana peered over to Tam who was glaring at Fitz, Fitz doing the same right back.
"Dare," she told them, feeling confident. Dex looked around the room, trying to come up with something.
"I dare you to go and sabotage Keefe and Sophie," he said, evilly. Biana acted disappointed as she walked over to the room and vanished. But she really had wanted to disrupt the two love birds. They were to perfect for each other and Biana was jealous. She softly opened the door and snuck inside the room. Keefe's arms were wrapped around Sophie's waist his head on the pillow and Sophie using his neck as a pillow. Biana inwardly growled as she walked toward the two and picked up one of Sophie's hands, furiously throwing it at Keefe's face. Before the hand his Keefe's face, he had quickly reached a hand and snatched her wrist. Keefe looked at Sophie's hand for a few seconds before placing it down and kissing her forehead.
"Slap Fitz all you want, not me thought alright beautiful?" He asked, looking at Sophie now half awake eyes. She looked over to her hand and nodded, zonking out a few seconds later. Keefe smiled and laid gently laid Sophie to the side of him. He turned to his side and wrapped his arms back around her waist and pulling her to his chest. Biana growled and looked at the door. The group was huddled around, waving her to do more. She turned back to the couple and picked up Keefe's hand. Keefe's eyes shot opened he glared at the air in front of him. "Get out of here Biana. I don't want to be part of your games," he told her. She stayed perfectly still and silent, pretending she wasn't there. Keefe growled and reached out, snatching some of her dress and shoving her back into the wall.
"Sorry Keefe, it was a dare," she told him. Keefe's furious eyes shot over to the door where his friends had been standing. But they had all retreated when Biana had been caught.
"So much for truth or dare," she muttered when she walked out of the room to find the living room empty besides a few empty hot chocolate mugs.
