what's your favorite pastime? reckless behavior

IT WAS TWO GLORIOUS DAYS since Madelyn Swan-Winchester had arrived back in Forks. She had  made a move on Paul which meant that they entered a new stage in their relationship; and they were doing splendid. They have kissed for a total of three times by now, mostly because she's been spending more time with her father than the pack.

They have played some board games, went fishing even if that is something Maddie doesn't enjoy, went out to eat (if they didn't go out, they cooked together).

Charlie was just happy to have one of his daughters back at home, looking happy and healthy. It would be better if both were here with him right now though.

Maddie is currently sitting on her bed, sharpening her knives when she got a text message from an unknown number.

Bella and Edward are coming back. Emergency. This is your bestie E by the way :)

The redhead clenched her jaw at the fact that Emmett was still putting a lot of effort into being her best friend when she still has the urge to slam his head through a marvel counter top. But, then she focused on the word 'emergency' and sat up quickly. She flipped her now sharpened knife in the air and caught it in her other hand before sheathing it on her thigh. She slid on the leather jacket that Dean had given her, and quickly left her room.

She ran to her car, and used her magic to start it seeing — in her rush to leave — she didn't grab the keys.

As soon as she arrived at the Cullen's, everyone else was already outside. She slammed her car door, marching towards them, knowing that she must look crazy. "What's going on?" No one answered her; she narrowed her eyes. "What happened to my sister?" She asked slowly, clenching her jaw.

She still didn't get an answer. They all avoided looking in her direction, especially Alice.

The only reason why she didn't attack, was because the car that contained her sister pulled up. Carlisle got out of the car, giving a forced smile on their direction that only had Maddie clenching her hands into fists. And then out stepped Edward who looked stiffer than usual. And slowly, agonizingly slowly stepped out Bella.

Maddie held her breath at the sight. Bella's hair was twisted up in a very messy bun, she looked very pale, and her face was scrunched up like she was about to throw up. But the thing that mostly caught her attention was the fact that Bella's stomach was bulged out, looking like she was about two months pregnant.

"What the fuck?" Maddie breathed out, eyes narrowing angrily. Unbeknownst to her, red sparked in her eyes.

Her angry dark eyes zeroed in on Edward who looked more than guilty.

"You stupid fucking disco ball!" Madelyn bellowed, a surge of magic flowing from her violently, pushing Edward so harshly backwards that he hit a tree which cracked and creaked at the sheer force. Everyone else shouted or gasped in complete disbelief and fear. No one knew Maddie was capable of such things. "How dare you!" She hollered, marching up to the Cold One who stared at her with wide eyes of shock and trepidation. And then he slowly closed his eyes, as if waiting for the relief of death. "What the absolute fuck happened?!"

Bella swallowed thickly and walked closer to her sister, rolling her eyes and holding up a hand to the other Cullen's who tried to stop her approach. "Mads..." she hesitantly started, laying a gentle hand on her enraged sisters arm; she froze when Maddie snapped her head in her direction, eyes darkened with red pupils. She wanted to ask about this newfound power, but knew it wasn't time. She has to deescalate the situation. "This wasn't planned. But I'm keeping it. Edward wants to help me, but I refuse to get rid of this... miracle."

Maddie swallowed thickly, jaw clenched so tightly she thought she wasn't able to open her mouth. And then she let out a growl of frustration, Edward slammed towards the ground, and the tree finally cracked all the way and fell harshly to the ground.

Everyone stood there, breathing heavily, or in the Cullen's case, stood there stiffly with wide eyes.

Maddie breathed in and out slowly, counting to twenty in her head, and then stared her sister in the eyes. "How is this possible?"

Carlisle took a small step on their direction. "We have no clue, but we will find out. Not only to understand this miracle, but to help Bella in the long run."

Maddie slowly nodded, not looking away from her sister. Tears shone in her eyes when she pulled her sister in for a hug. "I'm just so happy that you're alive. I was so scared that something terrible had happened."

Bella sighed and gently held onto her sister, trying to stay strong mentally. Everything was overwhelming. Talking about overwhelming; "what happened with you while I was gone?"

Maddie hummed, pulling back from the hug. "It's a long story."

"Can we see it, please?" Carlisle had his doctor face on, he wanted to examine it, learn it. He has always enjoyed seeing and testing newfound abilities.

Maddie tilted her head at the older Cullen. "Hmm," she hummed and then shrugged. "Sure." She held up her hand and wiggled her fingers, a rest mist moved around her fingers almost like a small wave. She grinned, looking up at their amazed expressions. "Cool, right?"

"That's amazing!" Emmett boomed, bouncing on his toes. "Can you throw me like you did Edward?"

"No!" Everyone exclaimed except for Maddie who simply rose an amused brow. "No," everyone repeated again once they saw Maddie's expression.

"Not now," Maddie winked at Emmett who grinned happily. She wrapped an arm around Bella's waist, hesitantly and gently laying a hand on her sisters bulging stomach. "Come on, you should rest."

They made it all inside the Cullen household, not knowing the future ahead of them.
