he smiled and all i could think about was "oh shit"
IT WAS ONLY A FEW more days after May left that Maddie even thought about leaving the confines of the bunker. It was about a week away from the happily married couple (gag) was going to arrive back in Forks, so Maddie knew sooner or later she would have to get back into the world. The thing is, she's still scared of the fact she might lose control and hurt those she loves. But, she also misses her pack and her father. And as insane as it sounds, she kind of misses the small town.
And that's why, she's in her new car that had been broken down in the bunker that Dean fixed up for her. A red 1961 Chevrolet Impala convertible. Inside, one the drivers door was all of their initials was carved into it.
She thought back to the last time she drove into her hometown, remembering how annoyed and tired she was at the time. She hated Sam for sending her to her fathers — not that she had any hatred towards her father — but she hadn't wanted to live an apple pie life at the time.
Now... she kinda sees the appeal.
"Hey, kiddo," Deans voice filtered through her phone. "Be careful. Call us if anything too drastic happens. And don't let those Cullen's hurt you more than they already have. I love you, red."
Maddie smiled at his concern. "I love you too, Dean-O." She hung up on him just as she heard Castiel's voice through the phone. She shook her head in amusement, wondering when they were going to figure out their feelings for one another.
Madelyn looked herself in her mirror as she stopped at a red light. Her straightened red hair fell down to her waist. Her dark eyes were brightened up, streetlights shining in the reflection, and for once she had no dark circles under them. Her cheeks were filled out and rosy pink from the light makeup she had in. She's wearing black high waisted skinny jeans, a plain white shirt that had a red heart in the middle, and a retro plaid flannel, along with combat boots that may or may not have a bit of splattered blood on them from a hunt a few years ago.
Blowing out a breath, she hit the gas pedal as the light turned green. She tilted her head side to side, popping her neck, smiling as she reached over to grab her Starbucks cup that had iced vanilla coffee with caramel drizzle. Basic, but she didn't care.
Just as she passed the Forks sign, she smiled and sat up straighter in her seat. Unlike last time, she was looking forward to getting home and laying in her bedroom.
But first, she had another stop to make.
Maddie pulled up to Emily's house, grinning widely up at the beautiful house, already smelling food from the driveway. It seems like Emily was already up and making breakfast, which wasn't a surprise because she has a whole pack to feed.
As soon as she stepped out of the car, she barley had time to close the door before Paul was running towards her whooping. She squealed loudly in surprise as he easily picked her up and twirled her around until they were both laughing loudly. She had her arms around him, and he slowly lowered her back to the ground, her hands were on the back of his neck, nails digging lightly into his hair.
Breathing heavily, Paul and Maddie just stared at each other with wide smiles on their faces, eyes light and full of happiness.
Maddie swallowed thickly and then she was pulling him towards her, lips connecting softly. Paul froze, shocked by the action. But, as quickly as he could, reacted, hands pulling her closer against him by the waist. He hummed, one hand trialing slowly upwards. The feel of his lips on hers, the tenderness in which he held her slowly, is all too much. So much. So good. She just whimpered.
As soon as the sound leaves her mouth, he's pressing her against her car. His left hand is caressing my cheek and his right hand is gripping me by the waist, pulling her against him with more eagerness. She arced into him, reveling in his strength, his fire, his warmth.
The imprint bond strengthened and grew around them, leaving them reeling. They pulled back slightly, panting loudly, Paul resting his forehead against hers.
"Fuck, that was hot," he breathed out and she chuckled breathlessly, trailing her hand on his chest — of course he's shirtless. "I so did not see this reunion going this way. But, I'm happy with the change."
Maddie smiled up at him, staring at him through her eyelashes, blushing. "The time away made me realize how much you mean to me. I... like you, idjit."
Paul pulled her into a hug, laughing into her hair in pure bliss. "That's the sweetest thing you have ever said me!" He kept his arms around her, placing a chaste kiss against her lips. "You make me happy. Incredulously, indescribably happy."
Maddie smiled, kissing his collarbone before pulling back from him. She sent him a wink before walking towards the house. She paused, looked over her shoulder to spot the boy frozen on the spot with a reddened face. She grinned, "you coming, pretty boy?" She giggled as he ran at her, sweeping her off of her feet, throwing her over his shoulder, jogging towards the house.
