"All done ! You comfortable bangaruu ?" Jai asked once the door was closed.

"Yes bavu....we are fine☺" Vennela gave a warm smile holding a sleeping ammu close to her chest and gently caressing Rishu's head who was already fast asleep in the baby car seat just beside her. His little pout reminded her of Jai, the way he makes that face sometimes in sleep.

She chose to sit in backseat for babies' comfort.

"By the time we reach home, babies must have woken up" Jai announced.

"I doubt that. Afterall they are just like their father😏"
She smirked.

"I dont want to hear Kumbhakarna comparison🙄"

"So you know well....😂" she giggled making him give a glare at her through mirror.

"You should be cautious while talking extra, remember i have few medicines with me😏"

"Let's see what medicine you have got" She smirked back gaining courage but shivered lightly under his baritone.

"You asked for it, madam"

"Okay sir. Now drive carefully"

"We started at 5 from Hyderabad, so we might reach home by 7 in evening ...right bava ?"

Jai gave a nod.

"Hmm...I gave the vegetables and snacks to Radha. We will return back on monday only no"

"Yes. Have to go office on tuesday ....its been a while we went to village and festivals like ugadi is actually a blessing for a get together with our dear ones.☺"

"I know right ? I'm so excited, bava😀" Vennela chirped.

Jai smiled at her excitement. His ever chirpy wife makes their whole world colourful.

"I'm equally excited bangaruu...now babies will be occupied in their grandparents' hands and we will have some quality time for each other😋" He said with a mischievous smirk.

"Nah nah...you always on same path. I dont want to get pregnant anytime soon"

"Now who told about that ? I was just saying that we could cuddle each other and sleep peacefully😏"

"Oh really ? That wont happen even after seven births of you😆"

"I believe in one life, bangaruuu...and besides that there are stuffs called condoms😌"

"Ouch ! Why are you pinching my ear ?😥"

"Last time you got so excited and forgot to use any"

He smiled hearing her rant.

"Couldn't help, bangaruu...that waist chain of yours drives me crazy😉"

"I'll wear nighty always then....or some frock"

"You are sexy in everything. So these simple clothes will only turn me on more hard😁"

"Offo !! What would i do with you ?🤦‍♀️"She literally facepalmed.

"Correction. What would i do without you, it is....😉" he winked at her through the mirror.

"Remember and be grateful for my valuable help"

"So valuable ! Emptying the milk bottles from fridge and that's not enough, you drain me as if a lollipop🤨"

"Hey...im just helping you. I can't see our mamma in pain😗" He gave an innocent pout.

Vennela shook her head smiling at her goofy husband.

Just then ammu shifted slightly in her arms and Vennela adjusted her in a comfortable position.

"Bangaruu, its been an hour..your arms must be hurting holding baby continuously. Shall i park the car aside and hold baby sometime?"

"No..its okay bava.. im fine" She assured him with a genuine smile.

"Tell me when you feel uncomfortable"

She nodded.

After almost an hour, their car entered the village premises, as Vennela watched outside her face beamed seeing the shining string lights on either sides of the road indicating the arrival of the festival, lush green banana trees, bunches of mango leaves as she watched brought immense happiness.

The village has been decorated grandly. Jai shared his happiness with her.

"I can't take my eyes off, bava ! Babies would have loved these lights🤩"

"I won't expect any less at our home. It must be a wedding ambience there😂" He giggled with Vennela.

Soon they reached home. Everyone was waiting for their arrival eagerly. As Jai stopped the car, Deva, Lakshmi, Pallavi, babai everyone came near.

"See i told you no bangaram, look at our home"
He chuckled watching their big house bathed in glowing lights all over.

She nodded smiling.

Deva opened the door for Vennela.

"Hai mavaiyya😃" She smiled at him warmly getting out of the car carrying baby carefully, while Deva blessed and side hugged her.

Lakshmi gave a kiss to ammu once Vennela got out.

Jai opened the other side and took sleeping rishu. He was chunkier than ammu.

"My babies...they have gotten more big" Her mother said emotionally while taking turns to kiss them. Jai and Vennela smiled.

"Amma, I'll tuck them in bed" They might wake up anytime.

Lakshmi nodded and walked them to their room

Babai took all their bags.

Once everyone was settled in the living room after changing into comfortable clothes, Pallavi came with a tray of fresh mango juice towards them.

"Wow, mangoes ! Vennela's eyes glittered. Is it from Ramu anna's farm ?😍" She asked delighted.

"Yes. He specially brought these today morning since you like it"

"Mmm...yummy....😋" she sipped eagerly making Jai chuckle.

He found a line of the thick juice above her lips which he found adorable. She raised her eyebrows seeing him watching her intently.

As a dutiful husband, he gently wiped it off making her gasp slightly and seeing him secretly licking that thumb.

She shifted on her seat and tried to concentrate on talking with everyone, but from the corner of her eyes, she could see the magnetic gaze of her husband set upon her.

"Yeah ? Its tasty pinni...☺" the half bitten samosa in his hand was long forgotten as Jai playfully teased his wife capturing her big toe in between his toes under the table. Vennela squirmed gently while pleading with his eyes not to do anything naughty infront of everyone. She gave a sigh and glared at him feeling his leg slowly travelling up her calf, the nighty slightly exposed.

"Ouch !" Jai rubbed his thighs gathering everyone's attention.

"What happened ?" Everyone chorused.

"No...umm..its nothing...a mosquito i guess" He looked at Vennela giving a victorious smirk.
They nodded.

She sticked out her tongue at her husband who just gave an intense smirk which sent shivers down her smile but she pretended not to show it out.

"Acho....ammamma's laddoos...😘😘" Lakshmi kissed both babies who were fresh after a nap.
At first they were clueless, but watched everyone with round wonderstruck eyes. They were not any cry babies. If anyone asked to hold them, they would go into their arms easily.

Deva was entertaining babies with rattles and different kinds of toys the grandparents purchased. Babies were drawn into the colourful world giving drooly giggles to their thathas and ammamma.
As time passed each took turns to hold them.

Their parents were watching everything with smiles while helping Pallavi in cutting few Vegetables for the next day.

"You both are invading my kitchen. Now go and talk with everyone. I'll do this" Pallavi tried to push them out of the kitchen but they didn't budge.

"Pinni, its not a big deal. Bangaram makes me do stuffs like these at home, especially the onions"
Jai teased his wife.

"Hello ? Its you who takes all those onions to cut. Chinnatha, dont believe his words. He is really notorious😏" Vennela pinched his arms.

"Yeah ...i can see that. That mark on your neck says it all😂" Pallavi giggled while passing beside them to stir the paneer curry.

Vennela gasped and checked her neck frantically while Jai tried to stifle his giggle making Vennela to give a jab on his stomach.

She loosened her braid from the bun and covered it with her hair.

Pallavi laughed wholeheartedly seeing it making Vennela pout.

"You're incorrigible ! Now you cut this on your own😑" She walked grumpily to the living room and plopped on the sofa beside her mother and hugged her from behind.

Jai and Pallavi gave a knowing laugh before he helped her with rest of the veggies.

"Where is Jai ?" Lakshmi enquired upon not seeing him.

"I dont know" She shrugged.

Her mom raised her eyebrows.

"Uhumm..."she shook her head watching babies in their thathas arms.

They were smothered with gentle kisses from everyone. Chinna was touching their soft feet and hands. Nagulu watched everything with awe.

"Where is Pallavi ?" It was her babai this time

"Both of them are in the kitchen teasing me. Tell your wife to control her tongue😑" She murmured making him laugh a little loud.

After 15 minutes,

"Hey dinner is ready...." Jai announced from the kitchen with a spatula in his hand.

Vennela smirked at him, coming out from the adjacent room shifting her hair completely to one side of her shoulder to cover the hickey he presented her fresh in the morning.

She adjusted the dupatta over nighty after feeding their babies who were fast asleep on the bed, a boundary of pillow wall surrounding them.

Jai winked at his wife for which she glared at him.

"What is it, bava ?" Vennela shouted from the kitchen hearing him calling for her.

"Offo !" She kept the ladle and went to check on her husband.

There was Jai, searching something frantically.

"What happened ? You've made a mess in this room"

"i can't see the black belt ...where is it ?"

"I had kept it in cupboard yesterday when you threw it on bed after changing"

Vennela approached the cupboard and before she could open the door he pinned her to the door, his hot breath fanning her cheeks from behind. Her breath hitched as Jai started rubbing his nose on her swan like neck.

"Ba..va...what is..this ? Your belt...😳"

"In the cupboard.." his rough lips gave wet kisses on her cheeks and down below her chin for which she gave a soft moan tilting her head more to give the space.

"I need ..to make breakfast.. have to give...you food... ouch ! Bava..slowly... 😖" she hissed when he bit her earlobe.

"I'm tasting my breakfast..." she looked at the mirror to see his eyes closed and kissing the side of her jaw. Her grip on the knob of door tightened at the morning dose of sweetness given by her husband.

"Wife...are you enjoying this ?" He whispered huskily in her ear.

Vennela who was slipping into another world just nodded oblivious to the questions asked by her husband.

He rubbed her stubble on neck and turned her towards his front.

She saw the raw desire in his eyes which made her lower her lashes and grip on his crisp shirt.

"Bava...please...let me go...." she said reluctantly.

The wet kiss on throat silenced her as Jai felt her gulping saliva on his lips which made him smile wide.

"Ahhh...not on neck!!...it will be visible to everyone especially chinnatha will notice this😥" Jai smooched her neck hearing her little complaint.

"Dont worry. We will cover it up somehow" He winked making her blush.

Vennela's glare was enough for Jai to retreat back to the kitchen giving a low chuckle. As Lakshmi too joined them in the kitchen, Jai took the duty to arrange plates on the table while Lakshmi and Pallavi carried the dishes. Vennela called everyone for dinner as they all washed up and seated.

Jai and Vennela started serving the food, much to everyone else's denial.

The smell of freshly cooked chapathis, paneer masala, steaming rice, vegetable stir fry, vegetable curry etc. spread around the dining room.

Jai and Vennela sat next to each other as he served on her plate. Vennela didnt look at her husband making Jai smile.

She was still mad.

Everyone enjoyed the food.

"Mmm...who cooked this paneer curry ? Its delicious😍"

"Obviously akka !" Pallavi replied.

"I knew it. Atteya has magic in her hands and my wife has got that too😍😁" He tried to butter her slowly.

But Vennela didnt budge and continued eating.

"I miss my girl's tea. She makes the bestest☺" Deva spoke making her smile.

"Thank you mavaiyya. I'll prepare tea for you for next few days☺"

"Jai...if you are free for sometime tomorrow evening, we can go to the fields"

"Sure, mavaiyya. Tell me the time☺"

Vennela finished her food by then.

"Here, vennu have more...." Pallavi tried to put one more chapathi on her plate.

"Noooo chinnatha...i ate almost three upon all of your compulsion. I cannot eat further, my stomach feels so much full"

"She says this at home too, atteya, will eat when i compell her only"

While Jai ate freely taking all his favourites and ended the meal.

Vennela and Jai kept babies in the crib one by one. Soft blankets and the mosquito veil was spread.

She went to the dressing table and combed her long tresses and kept in a bun. Jai watched it sitting on the bed mesmerising as each of this simple act was adored.

After getting on the bed, she pulled the blanket over her.

"Will you switch the lights off ?🙄"

Jai nodded and switched off the main light save the dim light bulb they kept on for babies.

"Hey...bangaruu.." He wrapped his arm around her.

She tried to take it off but he held her tight towards his chest.

"Giant😑" She whispered sounding irritated.

"Only yours😘" He pecked her cheeks.

"Leave me. I'm all of your laughing stock no😖"

"Who told you that ?"

"I felt it today. I told you many times that chinnatha will notice and tease me"

"Why are you getting so emotional for that ?"

"I will. You said me not to worry, but today you joined in laughing with her😑"
She gently punched his chest.

"These are husband- wife things and they know it well darling. And im sorry ...I'll ask pinni not to tease me wife from next time😘"

"You better😗" She pouted.

"Offo ! This girl..dare you cry now. Eyes are all welled up"

"I don't know how. I just felt emotional. I dont know why im behaving this way 😞" She admitted hiding her face in his chest.

Jai felt sad for his wife and stroked her hair pulling her closer.

"I know... its just the post partum depression. The insecurity, emotional ride and all are a part of this ..."

"How do you know all these ?" She asked surprised looking at him with innocent eyes.

"I've done a lot of research on internet and books ever since your pregnancy"

"Ohh..."she blinked at him confused which only made him smile. Pressing a soft kiss on her head, he continued...

"Don't worry when I'm here. Share your sorrows, worries and everything with me. If you feel to beat or scold me, do that☺"

"Uhumm...i wont beat you😗"

"Just now you did🤭" He slowly chuckled making her pout.

"That was just a gentle hit"

"Anyways...i promise i'm with you through everything. We will face everything together"

Vennela smiled tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Started crying huh ? Okay..let out your sorrows. I'm all ears😘" He wiped her tears and rubbed her back soothing her.

She finally started pouring out her sorrows.

"Do i deserve you ? All keep saying that im lucky means i dont deserve you ... 🙁" she murmured in his chest.

"You are the one who deserve me baby...no one else.
And that's just parents things...they are teasing you. You are the one who deserve me😘 no one else.
If my amma was here she would have said how lucky I'm to get you. Nana says now also to take care of you always because you're such a gem☺"

He raised her chin.

"We both deserve each other. I can't think of anyone else apart from you in my dreams also. You're my life"

He took his palm and kept on his chest.

"Hear that ? This heart is beating for you and babies..
You dont know how precious you're to me. I keep falling in love with you every day.
You're the most sensible person this Jai has ❤️ dont you believe me ?"

With that much, she sobbed in his chest, he gave her support and made her feel like he was with her through thick and thin.

"Am i troubling you only always ? I only saw everyone tell me, no one told you... they think you are some extraordinary person as you lived in city and studied a lot😔"

He held her cheeks and kissed her eyes.

"Have i ever said that you are a trouble ? I breath every second for you and babies. You dont trouble me anytime. Who is telling all this nonsense bangaruu ? You are my life❤"

He rubbed her soft cheeks.

"Nana always says about you to me...that you are his little princess and take care of you well...amma would have said the same had she been here. She used to tell about you that after you went our home lost its chirpiness. Infront of you, im just a baby. I know how extraordinary you are. It's just that they are seeing me after so many years and couldn't get over with that. Infront of my amma, i know how extraordinary you are. That innocent maradalu...still innocent wife of mine and a little notorious at times😘" He pecked her nosetip making her smile wider.

Vennela buried her head more onto his chest feeling better. She caressed his heart.

"This is my heart. Your heart is here❤" She pointed at her chest.

"Exactly. I love you so much baby. You're me and I'm you. We are one. If I'm extraordinary, then you are also. All my achievements are ours" He gently kept his forehead on hers relieving all her sorrows and insecurities.

"I love you so much, bava. More than you can imagine"❤ She looped her arms around his neck and snuggled like a small baby getting warmth and safety from parents.

Jai stroked her hair and gently massaged her head.

"Now sleep...we have to do lots of preparations for ugadi"

He hummed a melodious tune making her eyes droop and slept safe and sound in his arms.

Preparations were on full swing the next morning. Fresh mango leaves were tied in bunches at the entrance of their large house. Flower garlands in bright yellow and oranges hung as curtains all around the house as they symbolized joy and good fortune, colourful toranam (decorative door hanging) was tied to the main door which was believed to ward off evil spirits and to bring good luck.

Pallavi and few others ladies were occupied with drawing large beautiful rangolis at the portico and inside the house using vibrant coloured powders and rice flour. The rangolis brought positivity and auspiciousness.

Babai and Nagulu tied the neem leaves at the entrance. A gudi (a tall pole with a colourful cloth or flag) was erected in front of the house which symbolized victory and celebration.

Lakshmi was in the kitchen preparing pulihora (tamarind rice) which was considered a special dish for the occasion. Chinna was playing with few kids around the house. The sound of the kids, delicious feast cooking up in the kitchen, fresh smell of jasmine, lilies and marigold mingled with the sandal of incense sticks altogether made the atmosphere jubilant.

Jai who found his wife missing beside him, came downstairs with a tousled hair after checking babies. His face lit up with a smile seeing the jovial scenario of everyone around the house. These were some moments he truly enjoyed being with their big family. He knew very well that Vennela missed it too, much more extra than him since she was born and brought up here.

"Good morning atteya..☺" he gave a warm smile getting into the kitchen.

"Good morning Jai. You’re up. Do you need some coffee?" Lakshmi asked stirring the pot.

"No...it’s okay atteya. Did you see Vennela?"

"Vennu has gone for snanam (bath) in the pond behind our home"

"Ohh…okay… umm.."

"Anything else, Jai?"

"Uh.. atteya…babies have not woken up. I know you are busy but can you please check this baby monitor sometimes? I..umm…will help everyone outside"

"That’s fine, Jai. I’ll go to the room in between"

"Thank you atteya☺" Lakshmi smiled nodding at him and continued her works.

Jai dashed to his room and grabbed a set of fresh clothes and a towel, he made sure that no one notced him and escaped towards the backyard and sneaked towards the destination awaiting him.

The traditional pond for bathing was located at the backyard of their home. It was large and rectangular in shape, with steps leading down to the water’s edge. The walls made of stone or concrete. Lush green plants and trees surrounded the pond, chirping of the birds provided a natural beauty to the whole setting. Vennela and others ladies used to take a dip in here, it provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and recreation.

Vennela thought to take a snanam today in the pond just to have some ‘her’ time, reliving the nostalgia. She sat on the step with a bowl of freshly ground turmeric and sandalwood paste mixed with some honey in it. The only piece of fabric tied around her upper body till knees was a soft terry cotton towel in neutral tone. Jai’s breath hitched watching her as she gently massaged the oil throughout her long tresses- she was so natural and ethereal. Her skin was glistening in the warm morning rays. Jai made slow moves taking each step carefully and sat beside her keeping his clothes aside.

"Bangaruuu…" he whispered as soft as the rustle of leaves.

Vennela got startled suddenly and turned for the source.
She saw her husband looking lost, his eyes lingering all over her making a rush of blood to creep up her cheeks.

"Bava! You ..here?😳" She looked all around to see whether someone noticed him.

"Why didn’t you inform me about this? I’d love to give a company to give you right?😙"

"You were sleeping sound and I thought to have some time of my own, to take a quick bath and come before babies wake up. But did they wake up?" She panicked.

"Calm down, they are still sleeping. Baby monitor is with atteya. She will keep an eye on them and I asked her to call whether they are awake. Now let me help my wife. I think you will enjoy it more than the lone time 😉" He winked.

"Wah! Who knows you better than me? Indecency is dripping in your words😏" She mocked with a low chuckle taking the bowl.

"A little indecency adds a lot of charm to mornings like these😉" He took some paste from the bowl and applied some on her cheeks and spread it throughout softly.

"I know how to pamper my princess better than herself😌"

Vennela chuckled and left it to her husband watching his every moves- the way his long fingers played down her shoulders lingering around her chest for a little more than needed.
"Someone is getting naughty" She grinned feeling his lips on her nape making her little hair stand up.

"And you are enjoying it😁"

Her smooth legs were not missed. She was bathing in the scent of sandal, the smell hitting his nose to give a low groan seeing the beauty before his eyes.

"Now I deserve some pampering too"

With that Jai lifted his t-shirt and threw it aside.

Vennela gasped seeing his perfectly toned physique- the strong biceps flexing as he fixed his hair and the sunlight falling over his charming face. She gulped as the hair on her skin stood up seeing his abs. Her eyes swiftly counted the six.

"Hey gorgeous, would you mind applying this on daddy’s biceps. The bowl has some remaining. It should not go wasted right?" She nodded hazily as he saw the pure desire for him in her eyes.

He smirked and turned his back to adjust for her convenience.

Vennela took some paste in her slightly trembling soft hands and applied on his upper body. She blushed while feeling the taut veins in his strong arms, as her hands moved through his chest, she noticed his intense gaze on her.
Feeling shy, she covered little of her cleavage that was peeking.
"I’ve tasted every part of you. Still why that shield? 😏" He smirked before she covered his mouth with her palm.

"So shameless ok?🙈"

"Okay😉" He winked and pinched her rosy cheeks.

After enough marination, their bodies embraced the cool water with Vennela held tight in Jai’s arms.

"How are we supposed to bath like this?🤭" She giggled feeling him rubbing their noses together.

"We will bath this way" Jai applied soap on her body gently, her towel covering her dignity was long gone. She hid herself in his arms, the warmth seeping from his body soothing her nerves. He cupped her bosom and kneaded it gently with his right palm, the left arm snaking around her waist.

"Ahhh…" the soft moan was enough to make the blood rush through his nerves.

"Stop… that…" she panted keeping her palm over his.

"Why?"

"Don’t you know? I have to feed babies"

"Oops sorry… I lost a little control" He admitted innocently.

Vennela pecked his lips.
"Don’t be disappointed. We still have time☺" She lowered her lashes drawing doodles on his chest.

"Yep. As we are free tomorrow, no one will mind us waking up a little late tomorrow😋"

"You are so notorious🙈🤭" She chuckled while his fingers shampooed her hair and later she did the same with him.

"Uff, bava ! You are something else😳🙈" Her ears turned red hearing him whispering something naughty.

"You are only making it hard for yourself bavu…just wait a little bit"

"I’m already hard"

"I know. That’s why I told you" He pouted hearing his wife.

"Wait here"

She covered her bosoms as he came with a fresh towel near her and wrapped it around.

Jai made sure to wipe her hair thoroughly, afterwards she did the same to him. He made a curtain for her to slip into a comfortable shirt and skirt making sure that the environments were clear.
"I’m done, bava"

"Alright" He easily changed into fresh set of tee and pant.

As they walked hand in hand smiling at each other, there was nothing else apart from the love surrounding them.
Vennela looked so homely with the towel wrapped around her damp hair and the thaali dangling on her chest.
"Put me down, bava !🙈" she gasped feeling herself in his arms. Someone will see.

"Calm down. Just till the steps"

"Okay fine🙈" She looped her arms around his neck making him smile.

She played with his moustache all the while, making him give a gentle bite on her finger.

They sneaked into their rooms.

"Thanks to our babies’ strong genes of you coming to sleeping. They have still not woken up😂" Vennela chuckled caressing their head.

Jai fished out his new set of panche and shirt from the cupboard.
"Why thank them? Thank me instead😉" He spanked her bum while going to iron the clothes.

"Ouch! You deserve a smack bava"

"Do that later, bangaruu.. now give me your saree. I will iron it"

"It’s okay bava, I can iron everything. You sit here no"

"No. You take some rest. I got this" He assured her while she dried her hair.

Meanwhile babies woke up and Vennela’s full attention went to them as she changed their diapers and wiped their soft bums.
They started filling their tummy as their mother leaned to the bedpost and adjusted them.
"Nana’s babies woke up huh?😘😘" Jai kissed on their heads while passing to the cupboard to keep the ironed clothes.

"They will be in play mood soon" She chuckled massaging their soft soles and arms.

"I know. Baby, I’ve kept your clothes here. Call me if any help is needed. I will just check everything outside and come. I lied to atteya before joining you in bathing that I will check on the works😁"

"You are a total liar. Paapam them🤭😏"

"Anything to be with you,wifey😉" He winked making her shake head smiling.

"I can do this amma" Vennela took the duty of making one of her favourite, bobbatlu (stuffed sweet flatbread)

As she kept stuffing the bread and rolling it, she heard babies’ giggles while they were entertained by their thathas and uncles.
"Amma, can you make one more bottle of hair oil for me? It’s kind of over"

"Yes, I’ll make it tomorrow. Don’t forget to take the pickles I’ve made fresh for you. And the murukkus…Jai love it"

"Aww amma…you worked so much. It was not necessary no☺"

"That’s not a lot of work. Eat more fruits and vegetables, Vennu. You are breastfeeding babies and you need to have good food"

She rolled her eyes.
"I’m having amma. There bava doesn’t give rest to my ears now it’s you here saying the same dialogue🙄"

Lakshmi chuckled hearing that.
"We need to make sure you’re healthy always. Babies are getting enough milk?"

"Amma! What’s this?😳" She felt shy hearing her mother asking such questions.

"What? Every mothers ask this. You need not be surprised"

She pouted. "Hmm… they are getting😗"

"Hmm... Feed them for one or two years. You can start providing solid food after their anna prashanam ceremony"

Vennela nodded.
Just then Pallavi joined them in the kitchen holding a large plate of shredded coconut for extracting coconut milk for the payasam. As they shared funny moments of their families and some teasings, life seemed to feel happy away from all the stress and tension.

The celebrations went on full swing as they enjoyed every moments with their family. Babies brought lively atmosphere to the house.
