Reunion
The Midoriya family spent the rest of the night over the dinner table, catching up, laughing, eating Katsudon and bonding with each other. Izuku especially so. It's been years since he last saw his father, and he missed him so much.
"Hey dad. Where have you been all these years? You never told me, and Mom is somehow able to protect herself from my mind reading." Izuku said. Hisashi chuckled and put his arm around Izuku. "I was in a business trip. It lasted a lot longer than I anticipated."
Izuku nodded knowingly. "But why would a business trip last so long? It must be very important if it took you over a decade. But what could be so important that it needs a decade to be resolved? The only incidents that lasted that long are wars..."
Izuku was mumbling and mumbling. Inko And Hisashi were simply staring at their son. "He's inherited everything about you. From your hairstyle to your habits." Inko said. Hisashi pouted.
"I do not! I rarely mumble these days. The last time I was like this was when Izuku was merely 3 years old. And my coworkers never mentioned it to me. Or maybe they didn't mention it because their too afraid? But why would they be afraid of me..."
Father and Son kept on mumbling random thoughts out loud. Inko was staring at the two in wonder. "Well, deny it all you want but Izuku got his mumbling habits from you honey." Inko said. They both stopped and stared at her.
Hisashi laughing sheepishly. "Okay, maybe I do mumble a little bit. But not that often that Izuku's gonna Inherit it!" He defended. Inko laughed. "You even sound like him when I call him out on certain things."
"I do not!" They both yelled In unison. Inko laughed even harder. "See?" She stated. They both conceded. "It's getting late. Izuku, mind washing the dishes?" She requested. "Sure mom!" He said. He picked up the dirty dishes and put them in the sink.
He started with the silverware, scrubbing the spoons and forks thoroughly. He then scrubbed the cups. He put the sponge around the rim of each cup and scrubbed the underside of it. He put the spoons and forks in it.
He then started scrubbing the dishes. He roughly scrubbed the surface of it, getting rid of the grime that invaded it's surface. After he was done scrubbing he then rinsed it all. After that, he put it with the other clean dishes.
"I'm gonna go to sleep now. Good Night Mom! Good night dad!" Izuku said, picked up the guns and headed to his room. The two of them were still on the dinner table. "He's really grown up a lot." Hisashi said.
Their hands intertwined and they were shoulder to shoulder with each other. "I just wish that I got to see him grow up." Hisashi said sadly. Inko sighed. "I do too. He's been through a lot. He's done great things. And horrible ones as well. But there's no use moping about it." Inko said.
Inko cuddled up to her lovely husband's arm. "You're here now, And that's all that matters." She reassured. Hisashi chuckled. "Marrying You was definitely a good choice." He teased. "Choice?! So you had other options besides me?!" Inko said in false anger.
"No! I wouldn't dream of being with another woman!" Hisashi said. Inko chuckled and kissed her husband's freckled cheeks. "Let's go sleep. It's getting late." Inko said. He wanted to join his beautiful wife to sleep but he has to do something first.
"I will. But I want to talk to Izuku alone. It's been a while so I just want to clear up som things with him." Hisashi said. Inko nodded in understanding. "Take as much time as you need dear. He really missed you a lot." Inko said.
Hisashi watched his wife walk all the way to their bedroom. Once the door closed, and only then he went to Izuku's room. He opened it and saw that Izuku was still awake. "Hey, having a rough night kiddo?" Hisashi said.
Izuku looked at him and sighed. "Kinda. It's been years since we last heard from you and you one out of the blue. I'm not saying that I'm not happy, but why? Why were you gone for so long just for a business trip?" Izuku said. Hisashi looked at him. Regret filling his eyes.
He walked over to his son and out his hands on his curly green hair. "I'm sorry Izuku. I really am. I missed out on so much of your life and I have no excuse to have done that. I'm not sure if I can even call myself your father. But just know that I love you. Whether you're a Vigilante, a hero, or anything." The black haired man said.
He kissed Izuku's forehead and hugged him. Izuku was crying tears of joy and longing. "I really missed you a lot Dad." Izuku cried weakly. Hisashi was patting his back, tears also falling from his face. "There there, ssshhhh. Dad's here... I am not gonna leave you guys ever again." He reassured.
Izuku kept on crying Into his dad's clothes until he started feeling drowsy. He then closed his eyes and slept. His soft snores were the only thing to be heard in his room. Hisashi softly lay his son down on the bed and tucked him in.
He planted another kiss on his forehead. He walked out his room and closed the door. He then headed for his and his wife's bedroom. Inko was in the bed sleeping. Hisashi smiles at the sight of her sleeping wife.
He changed his clothes into more casual ones and slipped into the bed. He whispered into his wife's ear. "Good Night my love. I will never leave you two again." He said and closed his eyes. The Midoriya household became quiet as Hisashi fell asleep.
