Jackson Wang, the Official Third Wheel

"Jackson, wake the fuck up!" Namjoon threw the door open as he yelled. If the maid behind him said she didn't hear the hinges cry out as they nearly came out, she'd be lying.

"Wake up." Namjoon used his foot to roll Jackson off the bed and onto the cold floor. The sleeping body unceremoniously hitting the ground with a thud before a pained groan wheezed its way out the body's mouth.

"What the fuck?" Jackson cried out as he rolled over onto his back while rubbing his aching forehead.

"You have classes in an hour, and I need to pick Jin up. Get ready or I will leave your ass behind." Namjoon said with his hands in his pant pockets as he loomed over Jackson's form. Not an ounce of pity in his voice. He then proceeded to turn on his heels and walked out

"What kind of a bodyguard are you!" Jackson yelled after Namjoon was out the door.

"You have twenty minutes!"

The reply had Jackson scrambling to get into the shower. He didn't doubt that Namjoon would leave him behind for his precious boyfriend.

Best friend, his ass. Where did all that loyalty from twenty years ago go? Stupid Seokjin, making Namjoon act like a love sick puppy. Gone were the days where it was just the two of them against the world. Now, it's Jackson third wheeling in the car while almost dying because Namjoon couldn't keep his hands off Seokjin for even one second.

What does a guy have to do to have a normal life? Or at least one as normal as the only heir of the WR Security Group should have.

"Mr. Wang, finally deciding to get the education your parents paid for, I see?" The professor stated as she eyed him by the door, over her spectacles.

Man, if only she knew that his father contributed to three-fourth of the institution's capital.

"Yup, I figured you'd miss me after the first week." The professor could only roll her eyes, she was well-versed with Jackson's antics. She had been teaching him for two torturous years now, and thankfully it was his last.

"Take a seat." She chided him, unamused.

Jackson sent her a fake smile before he walked up to the back of the class and plopped down beside Youngjae.

It then took a total of six minutes before his head was cradled snugly in his arms over the desk, his mind drifting off to dream of his fiancé.

---

"I can't believe you were late to class again, babe when will you ever take things seriously?" Irene whacked him on the shoulder.

"I was late because I was waiting in line to get you these!" Jackson said offering her the box he brought with him. It was his only saving grace to stop her assault on his poor left shoulder.

"Awe, you didn't have- wait, No! I know what you're doing Jackson Wang, and I will not fall for it!" She glared as him.

"Come one, love. I know you want it. I even bought you a strawberry one." Jackson said sweetly as he placed a quick kiss on her cheek as he watched her visibly lose the mental battle with herself.

"Okay, fine. But if you use me as an excuse to be late next time, I'll have Yugyeom beat you." Jackpot. Jackson sure knew how to calm his fiancé down. It would have been a shame if he didn't, they'd been together for seven years now, from high school sweethearts to lovers and now fiancés.

"Yeah, sure. Let me have some cake- Ow!" Jackson instantly rubbed over his hand where Irene had just smacked him.

"Don't even think about it, these are mine!"

"But I bought it." Jackson whined as he tried again.

"I dare you, touch it and we'll see where you'll put your wedding ring after I cut your hand off." Jackson pouted as he withdrew his hand. Why did she always turn into a bully when food was involved?

"So rude." Jackson rubbed a fake tear as he watched her eat.

The cakes didn't last long, and once they were done, they both headed to their next classes. It's a shame that they were from different departments though, otherwise Jackson would have attended every hour just to ogle at Irene.

It's a pity. An utter tragedy. It's really not, Jackson just didn't have the grades to get into International Business School so he's stuck in Economics.

"Why is your face so ugly all of a sudden?" Namjoon's voice came from beside him.

Jesus Christ, how does he do that? How does he pop up out of nowhere?

"God! You fucking scared me, warn a man before you give him a heart attack!" Jackson said as he clutched his chest.

"Sorry not sorry, how many more classes you got today?" Namjoon asked as he looked down at his watch. Couldn't he be away from Jin for even a few hours? I swear this man is always counting down the seconds until he sees his boyfriend again. His ass was whipped-dipped-fried-and-flipped beyond redemption.

"Two, but after I'm meeting with Irene again. Taking her for dinner." Jackson said smugly.

"What did you do this time?" Namjoon laughed as he finally took his eye off his watch and looked at Jackson.

"Was late to class again." Jackson shrugged and Namjoon could only stare in disbelief.

"I dropped you here ten minutes before class." Namjoon narrowed his eyes.

Jackson shrugged once more as he walked into their class.

--

"The best thing to do is send someone in undercover." Jackson whispered as he flipped over the last page of the file once more

"Are you even listening to me?" He jabbed the file into Namjoon's side multiple times to get his attention.

"Don't fucking distract me, I'm trying to make a good impression on Mr. Kim." The latter spat from the side of his mouth and he tried to smile at their professor as charmingly as he could.

"Oh God, you look creepy doing that. Stop it." Jackson said with a disgusted face. "Plus, Mr. Kim knows you only took this course to get into his good books so you could get into his son's pants."

Jackson glared at the blonde when he didn't get a reaction back. Rude.

"Urgh. You're so desperate it's-"

"You know that's the worst fucking thing we could do is everything short of merciful, one wrong move and we could be discovered, or worse, more people get hurt!" Namjoon finally turned to him as he whispered. His finger pushing down on the file to drive in his point.

"It's all we can do, the spies we sent to them have gone off grid-"

"So, you want us to send more? Are you getting stupider with each day?"

The hushed whispering went on back and forth, until the sound of a textbook hitting the desk echoed throughout the room.

"Mr. Wang and Mr. Kim, do you have something you'd like to share with the class?" Their Economics professor's voice travelled with disapproval for their bickering.

Both men shook their heads as they pretended to read the handouts that were distributed at the beginning of the class. Namjoon looking a little more flushed and irritated that they had been caught.

"You are university students, please act your age." The professor said before he continued with his lecture. Namjoon pouted, this would definitely be brought up at the dinner he was to have with the Kim's on Friday. So much for meeting the parents going well...

"There has to be something we can do; I refuse to let this drag on any longer." Jackson whispered more to himself but he knew Namjoon heard when the other let out a soft sigh, putting his personal problems to the side for the moment.

"I'll try researching on them some more." Namjoon had been beside Jackson for as long as he could remember. From when his father swore his loyalty to Mr. Wang, to four years ago when he was appointed Jackson's bodyguard, till now. He knew just how important it was to Jackson to have this done.

"It's been ten years; I've taken too long as it is."
