POV: Vineleaf

           This was the night Vineleaf was going to sleep. She had dark circles under her eyes and her clanmates had begun to notice. Smokestar had to order Vineleaf to try to sleep for her to finally give in. Vineleaf hoped it was going to be a peaceful night without being pestered by cryptic StarClan prophecies, visions, and omens. However, Vineleaf knew it wouldn't. It was her curse, her punishment from StarClan, but her two beautiful daughters were worth it, even if she had to watch them grow up into brave and noble ShadowClan warriors from a distance. Besides, she knew her friend would raise them well. Her friend was the sweetest and most motherly cat Vineleaf knew. Vineleaf was the only one who knew that her friend was unable to have kits, and so she was beyond excited to be a mother. Vineleaf sighed, giving into reality, and reluctantly laid down on her cold, untouched nest to sleep. The nest was covered in frost, since it was leaf-bare, that disintegrated in water droplets when she touched it. Vineleaf shivered for a little, but eventually got warm enough to close her eyes and actually try to fall asleep.

           Immediately after Vineleaf's eyes closed, her mind was taken over by one of StarClan's never-ending prophecies. 

           The one closest to you... Vineleaf's dark green eyes widened as she saw a fluffy cat that was too covered in shadows to see the colour of with the scent of ShadowClan killing a dark grey cat who shared the ShadowClan scent, granting the poor warrior no mercy ...you cannot trust... Vineleaf spun around quickly to see the same fluffy cat killing two other ShadowClan cats within seconds ...or the clans will fall in blood and ice. The white cat, standing in the pool of blood, abruptly turned around, looked Vineleaf straight in the eyes, a phychopathic grin spreading on her muzzle and said, "what? It's not like I'm going to let you escape either."
