Thranduil- Empty
As hard as you try
You wonder why
You wander alone beneath the sky
You reach out-- but they pass you by
And beneath your fragile crown, you cry.

This is one of my favorites of the three. I always believed that Thranduil had his own story, probably a long story, one worth telling, and filled with love and sorrows and drama... but that story is yet to be told, and this poem is only a short representation of the Thranduil that I always saw. I feel that he tried to reach out to Legolas in one of the scenes in the end of The Battle of the Five Armies, by telling Legolas about his mother, but Legolas turned away. I think that hurt him deeply.
