Bounded

The sun rays in the cold morning air kissed my pale skin as my raven black hair flew to my face. My brown leather boots crunched the twigs and snow that covered the dirt patched roads. I've never belonged. I'm different and everyone knows that. One day, the people of the village just mysteriously found me on the steps of a church.

Tall trees surrounded the village which no one dared to be caught lurking in. Those in the past were left in a pile of bones and flesh on their families front porch. But, the pull to the forest was now no longer deniable. I couldn't stop my feet from making my way closer and closer to the forest. Beasts lived in the forest, or so I think. No one has ever been into the forest and come back alive. Well, Johnny Mccallister did take a step but soon fell ill the next day, and a week later died of pneumonia. Nevertheless, my feet carried me to the place where my heart was calling to.

One by one my feet made their way, until I was at the edge of the village. My brain was protesting, but still my feet planted themselves over the border of the village and forest. I let out a sigh of relief as nothing bad had happened to me yet. I smiled as my purple, gray orbs stared in awe of the beautiful flowers. It had been an hour of walking, yet I still hadn't been ripped to shreds nor fallen sick. My feet just seemed to know the direction of where I wanted to go. My eyes widened as I saw the beautiful waterfall and wild flowers surrounding in the image my eyes were taking in. Walking closer into the water I stared at my reflection, as the water was a crystal blue, nothing as I had never seen before.

In the village nobody had a pool, neither were there any streams nor waterfalls. We didn't need to collect water, we just had them handed to us every morning. Before I knew it I started to wade into the cold icy crystal water. Without knowing my body adjusted, to start swimming. I had never learned how to swim, but my body did it as if I had done it for years.

I made my way under the waterfall to find myself faced, to a tunnel. I picked myself out of the water and onto the wet rocky surface. Walking down the mysterious tunnel, my mind seemed to wander elsewhere, as all type of sanity left. At the end of the tunnel, was the same never ending path of trees and rocks.

The sound of a cracking of a twig brought me out of my thoughts as I saw a giant mysterious shadow lurking. My eyes darted to see where the shadow had went off to, until my eyes feasted on the beast before me. Wolf, my head screamed to run but my feet stayed planted in fear.

The wild animal of a beast, made its way up to me. With its large black nose it sniffed me and encircled me, as if I were its prey. With one last look and sniff the wolf ran off in the other direction. With a sigh of relief but curiosity still lurking in my mind I continued on.

It wasn't till my fifth step that I ran into something and fell backward with an electrical shock. Trying again I made my way forward with the same result. My eyes widened as the stinging of the electric shock started to seep its way to me. "No" I whispered in disbelief  as I placed my fingers in front of me.

The same result, my fingers were slightly red due to the electric shock. A force field I thought as I started to run back to the village with a smile, and a million questions running through my head. Maybe this was hope to get out of this hell hole.
