David was silent on their ride to the airport and then to his kingdom when the driver picked them from the airport.

On their way to the palace Jessica tried to talk to David.
She was sitting at the back with him while Helen was in another car. Helen had made sure they were together hoping they would talk out some things.

"I am so sorry for everything please forgive me.
All I need is another chance from you. I promise to be a good wife and a good mother to our child when he or she is born. please give me this chance"

"you are a very intelligent young lady, so I am sure you understand what the word divorce means ?
I am not your husband anymore and you are not my wife.
So there is no need for another chance .

David said and then turned his face to the window.

When they got to the palace, David walk ahead of them and went inside with William. William was his personal guard, and more like a friend to him.

Jessica was not comfortable.
How was she going to face everyone in the palace?
She was still thinking when Helen walk up to her bringing her out of her thought.
"let go inside you look like you need a good bath, food and sleep"

7pm Helen went to David and Jessica's bedroom and saw Jessica sitting on the bed looking lonely David hadn't shown up since he had left them outside.
Jessica was happy to be sitting in the Bed she has missed so much. She was happy to be back to David's room.

she could tell David had been sleeping on this bed since she had left. Because the sheets were carrying his manly body perfum.

"I can see you've wash up already. Now you need to eat. let's go, dinner should be set" Helen said when she was inside.

"I am not hungry" Jessica told her.
"You can't tell me you're not hungry, I don't need a prophet to tell me that you are"

Helen sat on the bed and took Jessica hand into hers. she look at Jessica's stomach. It was already coming up.

"You have to eat, to keep your baby healthy
If not, you will end giving birth to a unhealthy future king. I know you wouldn't want that Helen said looking sweetly at her

"Thank you so much, thank you for everything" Jessica said smiling lightly back at Helen.

When Jessica and Helen got to dinning table David was already seated on his chair, "your already here"
Helen said sitting down. Jessica who was standing close to her did same. After that, the three ate in silence.

Few minutes later,
"good night mom" David stood up and left he hadn't eating anything, his plate was still full.
When Jessica saw that, she felt tears gathering in her eyes. She knew he was leaving because of her.

"Jessica, that's okay. crying won't change anything" Helen said to her.

"Do you think he will ever forgive me" Jessica asked
"I dont know dear, Helen said sincerely. but I pray he does.
eat your food and go to bed, you need a good rest.
I will take you to see the doctor tomorrow, I won't have give give birth to a unhealthy baby in this house"

Few minutes later, Jessica stood at the door thinking of what to do after she had left the dining table.
David was inside, she could tell and she was scared of going in.
David was still angry so she didn't know what to expect from him. He might not want her in his room.
But she didn't want to sleep anywhere. she wanted to stay close to him maybe he might reconsider and change his mind.

The light was on when she opened the door
She could hear the shower running, which meant David was having his bath.

She looked around trying to find her bag to quickly change but she couldn't find any of them.
The maid must have kept them somewhere she thought.

She was about going outside to look for a maid or lady Helen when David came out of the bathroom.

Jessica mouth instantly went dry, she forgot what she was about doing.
David was looking so handsome his body was perfectly built.
She was speechless and lost. Oh God, she couldn't believe it, she was actually staring at a nude man. were was her morals, she asked herself in her mind.

He was naked her brain informed her. She wanted to turn her eyes away but she couldn't. Her mouth and eyes were wide open.

David grabbed his towel and tie it round his waist then pick up another to dry his hair.

"I, I- am am... I mean I..." Jessica tried to speak but she couldn't she was suddenly stammering.

"Don't bother explaining yourself. What are you doing here"

What was she doing here? Was that supposed to be a question, she thought.

"I can't find my things" she was finally able to speak.

"Williams will show you to your room. You can leave now I need privacy.
And you will never come to this room again is that clear? David asked

"yes" Jessica nodded slowly and quickly went to find Williams.

It was difficult for David to see Jessica scared and sad but he had to do everything he could to hate and forget her.
How that was going to be possible, he didn't know all he knew was that it had to be.

William was about opening the door to the room that had been cleaned and prepare for Jessica. When Helen saw them.

"what's going on here" helen ask looking at Williams.
"the king ask me to get this room clean up for..." Williams didn't know what to address Jessica as.
"for the queen" he finally said.

Helen looked at Jessica then to William
"you can leave now" she said to Williams

After Williams left, Jessica and Helen entered the room. It was neatly clean and arranged and look very beautiful.

Jessica looked around and Saw some pictures hanging close the the bed stand. She moved towards them to get a close view.
The woman on the picture looked so beautiful she looked like a model. And her face was familiar Jessica thought. But where did she know her from?

Jessica tried to remember where she had met this face, but she couldn't. Then she remembered David.
David look so much like this woman she thought. Could it be that... She was still in her thought when she heard Helen's voice.

"That's queen Belinda. David's real mother she's late. you should change and go to sleep now. I will see you tomorrow " with that helen left and went straight to David's room.

"David what's happening to you? Why that room? Helen asked looking at David who was also looking at her as if she was insane.

"that's where she should be. That's the only place fitting for her"
"David your mother... "
"I don't want to hear anything about my mother" David angrily said.
"she's no different from her"

"please David I don't want you to get hurt. I know I can't question your decisions but please I want you to carefully reconsider everything"
"I will Mom, I promise" David said trying to calm helen down.

A week later, Jessica was going to her new room when she heard some maids gossiping about her.
"Are you done cleaning your pregnant majesty room"? One of them asked
"yes I am done.
But wait, why should we be calling her, her majesty? It is so obvious that she would soon leave this house
Very soon she will give birth to her child, after that we all know what will happen next"

"That's true, everyone knows she didn't love the king she kept sleeping with her boy friend and eventually got pregnant
And now she is acting innocent, because she know her boyfriend can't take care of her and her baby, she will have to go back to poverty" another said.

Jessica who was listening to all they were saying, then she walked towards their direction and immediately they kept quite.
"Good afternoon your majesty" they chorused
"I thought you all just agreed I shouldn't be called that, because I would soon be leaving the palace, and a new majesty would come in"

"We are very sorry your majesty please forgive us" they apologized with fear written in their eyes

As Jessica's pregnancy was becoming more visible, her stay in the palace was getting tough and the pregnancy itself was getting difficult and unbearable. She was in her seventh month now.
David had not change his attitude towards her, rather he was been mean to her.

Every night whenever Jessica was in her room, all she did was to cry and sometimes have little or no sleep, and her body system was indeed complaining.

"Why are you looking as if you didn't sleep at all? Helen asked when she came to check on Jessica.
you look miserable.
There is no way, you are going to give birth to a healthy child if you don't take care of yourself.
Think of what would become of you if you give birth to a still baby, don't forget what the doctor said about your blood pressure" Helen said sitting closer to her.

"This child you are carrying, might be the only thing you need to get your husband's heart back.

forget about David for now and concentrate on your child's well being.
You should be concern about your unborn child first, before any other thing.

Jessica was crying when helen was talking, she wasn't really a crying sort of person but this few month she couldn't do without it.

"He doesn't even want to see me around him, and all I want is to be close to him always. I don't know what to do, I have tried everything possible to forget about him for now, but it isn't working for me at all.

I love him so much that it hurts badly, and he is going to take my baby away from me, I know he will.
I don't want to be away from my baby when he or she is born, and I don't want to be away from him" she said crying harder

"I have tried several times so David would forgive me, and look at me the way he used to when he was still in love me, and promise never to hurt me again.
But my wish seems not to be coming through.
If only I can reverse everything that has happened.
I don't want to leave"
Jessica said looking deeply into Helen's eyes

"I love him so much. I want him to forgive and accept me again.

Helen, could not hide her tears anymore. she moved closer and pulled Jessica to her.

"I am so sorry. No one including me can ever question the king, I wish I can. David is no longer a child that I can make some decisions for him, he is a king and it's my duty to respect him.
I can only talk to him, I can't force him to make decisions, and in this case David is totally deaf to my suggestions and plead. Helen said exhaling hardly.

Two week after, It was already 10 in the morning and Jessica was still in her room she hadn't even come down for breakfast that got Helen so worried
When Helen could no longer take it, she went to check on her.

"Jessica, are you in there, are you okay"? But there was no response and the door was locked from the inside.

Helen quickly called Williams who spoilt the lock and opened the door.

Helen ran inside and saw Jessica lying on the floor.

"oh my God, Jessica, what happened to you" she quickly call Williams and then Jessica was rushed to the hospital.

Helen stayed in the hospital with Jessica for two days, but David never showed up.

When Jessica woke up,
The first thing she checked was if her baby was still within her possession, then she turns and saw Helen.

"Thank God you are alive, you scared us all" Helen said smiling at her.
"David. Where is he" Jessica asked and immediately became pale.

"I am sorry dear but he is not here, he didn't come he only settled your bills that all.

"How long have I been here"? She asked trying to bit away the pain she felt
"Two now, two days " Helen replied
"And he didn't cared to come" Jessica asked as the tears fell from her eyes

"That's enough Jessica no more tears, is that OK?

After Jessica was discharged from the hospital, the family doctor came to check on her.
after that, he went to talk to David in his study.
The doctor told him Jessica blood pressure was higher than it should be.
And that she was thinking alot which was very bad for her health and that of the baby.
The doctor also to him something needed to be done inorder to ensure her safe delivery.

"just think of anything you can do to help improve are moods and make her more comfortable, that should help" the doctor said...

Three day after, David was in Jessica's room for the first time since she had moved back to the palace.

Jessica had just finished putting on the trouser helen has ordered for her, she was happy it fit. Nothing was fitting her anymore because of her big stomach.

She was about dragging the shirt from her breasts down to cover her stomach when she had a knock. With her face still down, she answered.

"come in, she quickly said thinking it was Helen or her personal maid.

David entered the room and closed the door behind him. Then he saw Jessica trying to drag down her cloth.
Her stomach was so pronounced, her once flat stomach was now like the size of an elephant.
Jessica looked up at David with the stomach still uncovered her hand gently holding on to it, as if trying to protect her unborn child from the bad man.

"your majesty, I didn't know it was you" she said and then smiled, gently touching her stomach then she fixed her eyes on it again.

"your presence always make him happy. He likes it when you are close" want to feel? Jessica asked looking at David and smiling sweetly.

What was she talking about? David thought His presence making her unborn baby happy?
How?
The only time he was around her was only in the dinning table and most times he was usually not there.
Maybe she was going crazy. David was still thinking when he felt some movement and then a Kick.
He looked and discovered she had gently placed his hand on her round big stomach.

It was as if the world had stop rotating, He was speechless, he could feel the baby move oh God, he wanted to remain that way for ever. It was amazing.
"did you feel that? She ask looking innocently at him.
She was so beautiful. He thought, he wanted so much to cup her little face with his hands and kiss her lips till they swell. She was driving him crazy he needed to stay away.

David quickly removed his hand as if something had burnt him. He didn't say anything for a while he was just looking at her.
Jessica covered her stomach and move away from him, then she slowly sat on the bed slightly spreeding her legs to be comfortable.

The doctor, said you were suffering from depression and that your blood pressure is high.
Since I made a promise to take care of you till you give birth to your baby,
I have decided to allow you see your boyfriend anytime you wish to, so he can keep you company I believe that will help your body system alot.

Jessica was shocked she felt like killing David.
"How dare you, get out of my room, she shouted at him. Then she got up from the bed and began to push David out of the room.

"I swear, you are going to regret everything you have said to me and your unborn child"

"No"She said shaking her head,
"he is not your child anymore you don't have any right to this child again, you don't deserve to have one.

He his mine alone" she said nodding her head in approval, because I suffer with him alone.
just leave me alone, I hate you, you are a monster, she said shouting"
She closed the door hard when David was out and went back to the bed where she began to cry all over again.

David regretted getting her angry
He felt like apologizing, but he could not bring himself so low to that lying Bitch, he thought.

"David how dare you say that to her, what is happening to you"?
Helen went to David's study to question him after Jessica explained what had happened.

"Mom, anything I say to her is none of your business. She deserves everything she is getting from me" he said rudely.

"David you are making a big mistake, and you are certainly going to regret all this. This girl is sorry, can't you see it?

You wanted her to get to love you, David, she girl loves you now with the whole of her heart.
She is dying silently because she believes you are never going to forgive her.

Why can't you just let go of your pride, and stop hurting yourself because it is written all over you that you love her the same way she loves you"

David was silent, he was totally speechless.

"That my business" he finally said.

"Well I hope you handle this business of yours rightly, your Grace.
Stop maltreating your own unborn child David.
That child won't forgive you if he or she is born with deformity and most especially you would never forgive yourself.
That's your your unborn child David" helen said and left angrily.

David's legs could no longer hold him, he didn't know when he sat on the floor.
What if that baby was his... Oh God that could be possible he never really sat down to think about this.
He had allowed the anger he had for his late mother to totally blind him.
"he needed to do something, he should apologize to Jessica he Thought. He just hope it wasn't too late...

The next day, very early in the morning David left the kingdom to another, because the was an urgent situation that needed to be handled. So he couldn't see Jessica that day.

Later that day, the driver took Helen and Jessica to get things for the baby.

"This are too expensive, how are we going to pay for all this" Jessica asked when she saw the price tags of all the things they were picking out.
"don't worry the child's father can afford the whole baby's world, and even more. And don't forget the grandma is here also.
Oh my God I can't wait to be a grandmother" Helen said hugging Jessica.

Jessica was so happy, she laughed the way she hadn't done in her entire life.
After the shopping, Helen and Jessica went back home and decorated the baby's room. After that they had dinner and all went to their rooms to sleep.

The next morning, Jessica was rushed to the hospital, it was time for the baby to come.

David was still away from the kingdom , when he was told Jessica was in the hospital. he quickly rushed back, Harrison was with him.

Jessica screamed as great pain dragged her.
No! She shouted in pain. And then lie down still, breathing heavily.

David saw Jessica screamed, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms over her belle.

"Doctor, please do something,
David sounded helpless when he saw life draining out of Jessica eyes as she struggled in the bed.
He had never felt so frightened in his life like the way he was at that moment.

"just calm down it not yet time, soon she will be fine.

In about an hour, Jessica's screams was already growing progressively weaker until they were little more than rasping moans,
Her cloth was wringing wet with sweat, her bed was wet also, her knees drawn up.

David was restless he could not sit.
"do you think she will be fine? David asked helen

"Just calm down everything is going to be fine, we just have to pray for her" Helen said to David .

"If only you told her, you had forgiven her and how much you love and cared about her that alone would have sustain her and keep her strong" helen said to David.

An hour later, the doctor came out and met David helen and Harrison.
Congratulation you are now a father you have a son.
Your wife is so weak now, she lost so much blood but she will be fine she's presently receiveing one.

You can see the the child once the nurse is done cleaning him.
But mother and child will have to remain here so we can put an eye on them the doctor said and then left.

Three days after, Jessica finally woke up.
"Thank God you are awake to see your cute baby, he is so healthy and strong.'" Helen said smiling as tears gathered in her eyes.

Jessica looked and saw her baby looking very tender, beautiful and innocent.
Where is the king she asked?

"He came here immediately he was told you were in labor, you needed to see him, he was so worried and restless" Helen said her attention still on the baby.
"What about the DNA? Jessica asked
"The results should be ready by now I guess" helen said still looking at the child.

" David is actually serious about this, she thought.
Oh God, he is going to discover he is the father of my child and his going to take my baby away from me.
I can't let him take my baby, I can't lose my baby the way I lost him I need to do something very fast" Jessica thought in her mind.

After some thinking jessica finally conclude on what to do.

When Helen went to talk to the doctor, Jessica quickly sent the maid who was inside with her to get her something outside .
When the maid left, Jessica quickly wrote a note and left it on the bed.

I Am so sorry, but I have to do this.
I can't allow the king take my baby away from me. I have lost so much already. Thank you very much for everything.

Jessica took her baby and went out of the hospital covering herself in such a way that no one could recognize her.

She passed David and his friend who were about entering the hospital, but they didn't notice her,
she succeeded in escaping...
