Today was the day.
Harry's first date with the boy he had always lost his senses around.
And as much as many people despised the habit, Harry couldn't help but bite the tips of his nails as he nervously bounced his leg against the tiled floor, each second passing seemingly excruciatingly longer than the last.
It's weird to think about. Especially when someone as gorgeous as Louis Tomlinson takes you out.
He couldn't believe how lucky he was.
But here he was, a blushing nervous wreck, going on a date with his best friend, his boyfriend. And just as he thought things couldn't get any more pressuring, the doorbell rang, echoing throughout the empty flat.
Harry grins, his nervous smile polishing his features perfectly together as he rushes to the door, his feet padding quickly underneath him.
And when he opens the door he can't help but gawk completely at the boy dressed in a simple white tank and skinnies but somehow still managing to perfectly pull it off so nicely. There were about a dozen red roses in his hand and Harry's cheeks flush a crimson red as his gaze averts to the ground.
"You're so beautiful Har." Louis says softly. It was definitely different, being called beautiful? Normally he'd get 'handsome' or 'strapping' but it was now he thought, that he liked being called beautiful.
"Thank you." His voice is barely audible but it didn't matter because Louis heard, not resisting the urge to smile that same smile that crinkled at the tips of his eyes, gleaming with joy.
"You ready?"
"Where you taking me?"
"You'll just have to see, yeah?" Louis offers sweetly. He softly pecks the soft skin against Harry's flushed cheek, not caring much of it if anyone were to see. "Shall we?"
And Harry only nods, appreciatively taking the boys hand in his own and intertwining their fingers together, deciding against telling the boy he loved the feeling of how perfectly their hands molded together.

"Lou! Oh my god!" Harry squeals excitedly. "I haven't been to a carnival in forever!"
"Hang on love, let me park." It took what seems like forever to find the perfect spot but Louis can't help but to glance over at the boy beside him in complete admiration. He was smiling brightly, eyes lighting up with joy at each game or coaster they passed.
Whenever Harry smiled, Louis found himself lost, a wave of butterflies in his stomach as it so simply lit up his soul. And the best part of it was that he was making Harry smile that big.
And he loved it.
"They have a photo booth here?!"
"What carnival doesn't?"
"Lou!" Harry squeals, his emerald green eyes lighting up. "We gotta get pictures!"
"Of course baby, anything you want." Louis murmurs in awe, his gentle yet soothingly strong arm wrapping around the smaller boys delicate waist.
Harry barely contains his giddiness as he bounces towards the booths, practically dragging Louis along with him.
"Oh," Harry frowns as soon as they reach the tall, sparkly booth; shiny lights glittering and causing the booth to stick out, even in the nearly blinding daylight. "It requires money."
"Ah, what a shame." Louis sighs a bit over-dramatically, digging a few spare pounds from his left pocket. "Guess I'll just have to go on my own."
Harry pouts as Louis speaks, opening his mouth to reply, only to be interrupted.
"What's this? It seems I have enough to apply for, two people?" He gasps, placing a hand on his chest in mock shock and clutching at his thin sweater. "What ever shall I do?"
Louis steps forward, beginning to insert a bit of money into the machine before feeling a pair of soft arms wrapping around his toned waist, covered by the thin material of his lavender sweater. The soft tufts of Harry's fluffy hair tickles his cheek as the smaller nuzzles into his neck, warm breaths radiating down his neck.
"I dunno, I mean it only makes sense that your boyfriend would appreciate it, but what do I know?"
"I suppose you're right," Louis inquires before tilting his head a bit to glance down at Harry, their gazes meeting. "I guess I'll let it slide just this once..."
"Under one condition." Louis mumbles, his gentle touch guides Harry's chin so that the boys face meets with his own, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Hmm?"
Louis grins before bringing up his hand and tapping on his cheek with the pad of his thumb.
The gesture made Harry's cheeks turn to a crimson, as he buries his face against the fabric of Louis' sweater.
"C'mon love, you want pictures don't ya? I mean unless you want me to call someone who wouldn't mind-"
"Okay okay okay." Harry mutters quietly. He grabs the hem of Louis' shirt and tugs him close, his lips quickly meeting with the boys soft tan skin.
"Was that so hard baby?" Louis asks, a smile hidden in his features.
"No." Harry giggles. "But can we get picture now, maybe?"
"I mean I guess." The boy grabs a few pounds from his pocket, his eyes focusing in concentration as he carefully unravels the bills' wrinkles.
The moment they were accepted, Harry squeaked excitedly, dragging Louis inside the small cramped space, a wide grin on his face as he presses the 'ready' button.
"Make a funny face Lou!" Harry babbles, his tongue sticking out widely.
Louis giggles, sticking his own tongue out and pulling the casual bunny ears behind his boyfriends head.

"Okay, okay now-"
Before Harry could continue, Louis was cupping his face, pulling him closer and pressing his lips sloppily against Harry's cheek.

Harry giggles and instead of allowing Louis to pull away, he's wrapping is arms around his boyfriend tightly his head buried into the crook of Louis neck.

Louis lets out a wet laugh, holding the boy and intertwining their fingers with a crinkled smile as the camera snapped the last picture.
Harry pulls away from Louis, his cheeks still tinted pink and Louis can't help but to lean forward and gently kiss the boys forehead. "Let's go see the pictures, yeah?"
Harry nods eagerly. Dragging Louis and himself out of the photo booth.
The moment they look at the pictures, Harry smiles a bright radiant smile. And Louis can't help but to fond at the boy. The pictures were amazing but the boy in front of him was without a doubt so much better than words could describe. How could he of possibly gotten any luckier?
"You're so cute Har." Louis whispers softly against the boys curls.
Nothing was said in return, so instead he intertwines their fingers where they wandered the park trying all the food and games that was in store.
It wasn't until nightfall where Louis decided to drag the boy to the Ferris wheel. The last thing yet to do.
The moment they got on the ride, Harry was snuggled up with his boyfriend. Their hands delicately enlaced together as the ride accelerated higher and higher.
And how convenient could've this been, the ride stopped directly at the top and no doubt was this a picture perfect moment.
"I had so much fun today."
"I'd hope so. Costed me half a paycheck." Louis chuckles. He softly nudges at the boy and frowns to see Harry's panicked expression.
"Lou, I-I'm sorry. I-I-"
Louis shakes his head with a small laugh and no sooner, he was cupping the boy's cheeks and pressing his lips against Harrys. He pulls away slightly, a grin evident on his face.
"Baby, I had a wonderful time."
"Me too."
And Louis can only connect their lips once more, because everything seemed so perfect and he never wanted that to change.
