~.Dans POV~

It was 3:00am and I was asleep but i was woken up voices talking. It sounded like my mother and a other man. I got up from my bed and walk down stairs to see what was going on.

"Mom what are you doing? And who's that creep?" I asked my mother. She was packing her bags and a man looking in his 40's was standing by the door waiting for her. He gave me a nasty look, I just ignored it.

"Dan go back to your room!" My mother shouted at me, she almost looked hurt.

"Mom, just tell me what you are doing and i'll go to my room,and where is Dad?" I asked

"Your father left and so am I! Im leaving with Greg to a different place far away from here and start a new life without you and your stupid father!" She exclaimed.

"What?! Mom your leaving me here?! I started crying and I was so confused about what was happening.

"Go to your damn room Dan!" She got her bags and stormed out of the house with the guy. That was the last time I saw her. Its been two years now. I've stopped going to school and started working in a fast food place. They don't pay me enough but its enough for food and hygiene supplies I guess.

I've been self-harming for a year now and i'm not proud of myself, but its my only escape. I just wish my life was a bit better, not a fucking hell hole.

I walk back home and its almost midnight. I worked extra shifts to get paid a bit more to pay for new clothes. I start walking on the pavement were there was streetlights so I can see were I'm going. Last time I walked home in total darkness and I twisted my ankle. I couldn't work for a week which meant I couldn't pay for anything I needed.

I finally get home and I take off my job clothes and change into baggy sweat pants and a galaxy shirt. I check my phone to see what time it is again. 1:28am. Great I only have a few hours to sleep. I need to go to a local block party to help set up a bit. Im just going for the food since I don't have much left and at the block party they let you take it home I guess.

I slide into bed and turn on the fan since it was hot inside my room. I cover myself in my soft blanket and rest my head onto my pillow. I relax and fall asleep. Cant wait for a new hell day.
