the game of choices begins..
At last, Chief Detective Fred Alred reached Margaret Connors' residential abode in Embarrass Township, St. Louis County, by and with the aide of the police officer who also happened to know the exact location of the possible SUSPECT.
The old detective uttered to the police officer, "Officer, I really am very thankful for what you did for us, it means alot to me and for the sake of the investigation that we are currently conducting. Thank you so much, officer."
The police officer replied, "It could be freezing cold here in our small and little town, but there's warm folks living out here. This is my card sir. If you need anything or if in case anything serious would happen, just call me sir and I'll assure you that the whole police force of St. Louis County would be happy to help.", then, the police officer left the old detective alone in front of the very large Connors' residential property.
The house was a huge mansion. There's a fancy silver gate, a vast front yard garden with an elegant fountain on the middle of it.
When the old detective saw it, she was in awe and at the same time, PUZZLED.
He concluded, that money is not an issue here, since this grand and humongous estate was now owned by Margaret Connors for it was already bestowed to her by her folks who three years ago, already moved to Florida.
The old detective was standing in front of the large Connors' estate, behind the mailbox outside. The gate was wide open and he could see the doorhouse from where he was standing. But even before the old detective yelled Margaret Connors' name, the door opened and....
.... he saw Margaret came out from the huge maple wood door then gazed towards his position, smiling - but not in a sarcastic manner.
Margaret stopped and just stood on the terrace of the huge house and didn't utter a word.
The old detective turned mad and furious, once again he didn't controlled his temper, so he shouted from the not-so-far distance on where he stood, "MARGARET CONNORS, I would appreciate it, if you would let me come in and heard you explain on why you had lied on your sick leave and told them that you'll visit your sick mother who live here when in fact, she and your father were basically residing now somewhere in FLORIDA, RIGHT?!"
Margaret just continued to smile and still didn't utter a word. That gesture made the old detective so pissed off. He was not used to see Margaret Connors in such relaxed, calmed and in non-sarcastic manner.
So the old detective became furious and was pissed off. He lit a cigarette, and then started to yell, "Margaret, I know you are behind in the disappearance of Charlie Pistone!! You are a cheater and a liar!! You lied on Charlie about that ANDREW HOLMES YOU ARE HIDING INSIDE YOUR HUMONGOUS MANSION!!!"
Margaret just kept her smile and still didn't utter a word.
All of sudden...
A man came out from the door. He was dressed with a light gray, v-neck, three-fourths sleeve shirt on top, and a semi-fitted dark gray jeans. He was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, had a well-toned, well-built, model-type body, but not huge and not wide. He has a fair complexion, and he wore an eyeglasses. He was decent-looking and he looked like a very nice guy.
He walked towards the direction of the old detective, and uttered, "A pleasant morning Chief Detective Fred Alred, my dearest Margaret told me alot of stories about you." the guy spoke in a very calm and mild-manner way.
The old detective accidently dropped his cigarette from his hand. He couldn't utter a word, and he was so shocked.
Then the very nice gentleman smiled a a very warm smile and then offered the old detective to shake his hand, then he uttered in a very calm tone, "By the way sir, I AM ANDREW HOLMES."
The old detective tapped away the hands of the nice gentleman as if he had woke up because of so much fury. He then furiously uttered, in a loud and angry voice, "You made me like a FOOL, damn you CHARLIE PISTONE!!!!"
It happened, that the Andrew Holmes that Margaret Connors introduced to the police officer who knew her, was also the same guy, named... CHARLIE PISTONE.
Charlie remained calmed. But the old detective was so mad and furious. "You made me a fool trying to find every bit of information just to solve your case! You are worst than Gavino! You damn devilish bastard!"
Charlie turned backwards and walk two steps away from the location of the old detective. He was not smiling, or having any facial expression. He was just calm and relaxed. He uttered in a mild tone, "You don't have a search warrant nor a warrant of arrest so I believe, unless I let you come in, one step towards this property shall be considered as tresspassing right, sir?", Charlie smartly uttered in very gentle tone.
"I don't care! I want to kill you now!", the old detective was furious and hostile.
Charlie was just relaxed and he faced the old detective once again, and uttered with a very calm tone, "Detective, remember these words, anger can be your very bestfriend if you could control it, but it could also be your very worst enemy if you let yourself be immersed by it. You didn't even gave yourself a chance to hear my proposition and you had already jumped into your conclusions that I am indeed the bad guy. So, if you wanted that, I will leave you a choice here.. You either leave the place and report this incident in your headquarters in Boston... OR enter my lovely abode and be my guest.", then Charlie turned his back and walked towards Margaret.
Charlie was so calm and composed, he was not also a sarcastic prick or an arrogant one. He was the very exact opposite of Winston Gavino. And the way that Charlie spoke, it is as if he has some kind of unexplained authority that will make anyone listen to his parlance.
But as Charlie had said, he was offering the old detective a choice. Jump into a conclusion or be HIS GUEST.
The old detective tried to composed himself because of the so much composure that Charlie had, then the old man uttered, "Can I enter and be your guest, Charlie?", the old detective chuckled after he had spoke that words.
"Coffee or tea?", Charlie asked with a huge but not sarcastic smile on his face."
"I guess this will be a game of choices..", the old detective uttered with so much excitement, as they both walked towards the door of the huge mansion.
