Since there's three groups and three tasks to perform on that very night, Chief Detective Fred Alred named each teams, as ALPHA unit, BRAVO unit, and CHARLIE unit.

The Alpha unit, led by Officer Julius, was tasked to go to the little chapel to verify if it was really just a front, to hide Winston Gavino's supply of illegal drugs, contrabands and other private stash.

The Bravo unit was tasked to evacuate and transfer all the people and civilians from the casino that Gavino owned, into a safe place, for the fear of a possible tragic incident that might occur.

Then, the Charlie unit, led by Chief Detective Fred Alred, was tasked to caught Gavino in the act of doing his illegal business and arrest him.

The old detective and his back up team were scattered and hiding on different hiding spots, just in case a possible shoot out might happen.

So, once again, the old detective lit a cigarette while waiting for Gavino and for the boat that was carrying the illegal contrabands and drugs that Charlie said that would arrive on the Mystic River.

Then...

A young policeman taps the shoulder of the old detective and uttered in a very low tone voice, "Sir, I received a call from the BRAVO unit, they said that they're finished relocating all the people and all civilians who were inside  Casa Italia, sir. And they also said that WINSTON GAVINO was not there in his casino, so he's probably on his way right here, sir."

The old detective uttered in reply, "Thanks for the update young man. But what about the ALPHA unit? Is there any update about them, huh?"

"I'll verify sir.. Then, I'll let you know."

The old detective was so excited, but at the same time, nervous, on what would be the possible outcome of Charlie Pistone's plans, to make the worse of worst to Winston Gavino. The old detective was still puzzled, but he knew to himself that this is not the hour to think about doubts and fears.

"THIS IS RETRIBUTION.", he muttered to himself.

Then...

After 10 minutes, the boat carrying the illegal drugs and contrabands, had finally arrived! Now, all they're waiting was the arrival of Winston Gavino to caught him in the act of his evil deeds.

Once again, the young policeman taps the shoulder of the old detective and uttered again in a soft voice, but now, WITH SO MUCH ENTHUSIASM..
"Sir, the ALPHA UNIT had already contacted us..."

"Cut the crap! I hate cliff-hangers damn kid!", the old detective uttered.

"I'm sorry sir. The BRAVO unit said that they already raided the little chapel you're saying.... You're right sir, it's just Gavino's front to hide all the stinky stuff that he's hiding! But I want to inform you that Officer Julius was reportedly shot in the shootout, but they killed the gunman, and the other armed men were all in critical condition at Steve Jenkins Memorial Hospital."

Out of so much panic, the old detective immediately pulled out his phone and dialed Officer Julius personal number...

It just kept on ringing.. and ringing.. and ringing..

Then..

"Yes, sir? Officer Julius, speaking.", Officer Julius uttered.

The old detective uttered in a soft but WORRIED VOICE, "Damn you Julius! You are a crazy bastard! What took you so long to answer your phone? You scared the hell out of me! I heard you were shot, was that true?"

"Oh yes sir, but it's like just a small wound. There's no bullet that penetrated inside.."

"Where were you hit? Are you alright Julius?!" the old detective asked.

"I'm fine sir, definitely fine. You'll laugh if I told you where I'm hit, sir."

"Why would I? You're hit, what's funny with that? You crazy fool!"

Julius answered, "I have a small wound in my butt sir.. Lucky that its just a scratch and the bullet didn't penetrated inside."

The old detective dropped the call.. AND CHUCKLED. He wanted to laugh so hard but he didn't want to laugh on a wounded, brave policeman.. so he just kept it to himself..

But suddenly...

The long awaited event had finally come. A black SUV had arrived, then WINSTON GAVINO stepped out from the fancy vehicle, with three personal bodyguards, including the driver of the car, who were now standing on the back of their BOSS, guarding WINSTON GAVINO.

There's a huge man wearing a fancy black suit and holding a big black briefcase, that stepped out from the boat. He was a notorious drug lord that supply Gavino with all the drugs it sells in Little Town. There were also three bodyguards who also stood on his back.

Chief Detective Fred Alred and his unit were just watching the scenario, as if waiting for something to happen.

Then..

Winston Gavino, moved forward, he then embraced the huge man and..

....HE PULLED A GUN FROM HIS BACK, AND BEGAN TO SHOOT THE BODYGUARDS OF THE HUGE MAN THAT HE WAS EMBRACING...

GAVINO's body guards fired their guns too, so they all killed the bodyguards of the huge man who's carrying the huge black brief case.

Then, with so much fury, GAVINO yelled, "You bastard pig! Are you responsible for the police raid that had happened earlier, huh?!!! Did you gave a tip on the police about my private place on that little chapel!!?? Answer me honestly, or I'll shoot you in the head!!!"

Winston Gavino dragged the huge man down and pointed a gun on its forehead while the huge man was still begging and saying that he doesn't know a thing about what Gavino was saying.

The whole CHARLIE unit was just waiting for the old detective's mandate.

The old detective saw the hostility of Gavino and his crew, so he don't want to risk the lives of his unit members in peril. Then, he finally had a plan!

So, he uttered and signaled to all the members of his unit, using their tactical microphone and headset, "You all know the rules... that we can't fire at them, unless they open-fire on us first, right?! But you saw that they're hostile and cold-blooded, so.. LET'S USE THAT AGAINST THEM."

Someone on the team replied, "How sir?! What's your plan?!!!"

The old detective chuckled, "I'm old now and ready to die, so I'll play the decoy... If someone from Gavino's crew aimed to fire at me, then SHOOT THEM. SHOOT THEM ALL! Say, copy if you agree with me..."

"COPY SIR!!", everyone agreed.

The old man, silently moved forward and hid himself on the back of a ruined, wrecked and rusty automobile, that would act as his cover for any possible bullets.

The old man prepared himself and all of a sudden stood up and yelled, "BURN IN HELL GAVINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", then the old detective immediately hide himself on his improvised cover...

He got the attention of Gavino's body guards because he all took them by surprise!!

So..

Like what the old detective wisely predicted...

...all of them, aimed a shot on him.. BUT THEY ALL MISSED! Thanks to the ruin, wrecked, and rusty car who acted as his cover.

Then...

...like what had been planned...

The CHARLIE UNIT, fired at Gavino's bodyguards and killed them all down.

Winston Gavino was left standing, with his gun pointed to the huge man who was now unconscious because of so much fear on what had happened..

Then, the old detective, stood up with so much confidence on his face, then walk TOWARDS GAVINO.. Then he uttered with a loud and furious tone..

"I guess, it's just you and me now.. Winston Gavino!!! Today is your judgment day, you two fold son o' hell?!!"

Gavino just stood there, with a sarcastic smirk, but with A PALE FACE.
