Jason and Puppeteer had been enemies since they both laid eyes on eaachother. Pup's puppets vs Jason's dolls, toys, hideous creations as Pup liked to say.

He enjoyed taunting the Toymaker with harsh words and the favour was typically returned. They did have times when they would talk in peace, but most times [Crush] and [You] were keeping a close on them. However you two weren't exactly able to keep the two calm this time.

Pup held Jason's neck in a semi-tight grip at arms's length. His eyes were glowing orange, signalling that he was getting angry. That wasn't new in the presence of the redhead. It didn't help that [Crush] was holding him back from sticking Jason. Lucky him, though, he had his strings to make up for the distance he couldn't cover because of the one holding him back. But then a new threat posed.

Jason unsheathed his dagger and held it up, pointing it towards Pup's face. His other hand clutched the Puppeteer's wrist as he tried to pull his hand off his neck. As much as he wanted to stab Pup to get him to let go, he couldn't. You had him under your hold. He was in the same situation as Pup and was more than annoyed than anything.

Over the pleas of You and Crush for the two to stop fighting, Pup yelled at Jason, "What do you plan on doing with that, huh?! You can't fucking get to me you damn ginger."
