FLASHBACK:
— AS THE POLICE ARRESTED ROSES PARENTS, BEFORE THEY EVEN GOT THE CHANCE TO LEAVE THE SCENE BEING ESCORTED BY THE COP, Roses mom yells out to her terrified child. "We were the only one her damn parents let to keep charge of that stupid ass you will never find anyone better than us!" Her body trying to resist the arrest. Roses mouth was open in pure shook only realizing that they weren't her biological parents.
"YOU MEAN YOUR NOT MY FUCKING ACTUAL PARENTS?!" an anger starting up in her stomach while Tara tried to take her back away from them but attached herself away wanting to know more.
"Your mother would never give birth to a child as stupid and worthless as you! Your parents were just as ignorant as you are, we were trying to make you better you stupid bitch!" Her now arrested says in anger, the police officer pushing him on the cop car, the dads head tilted to stare at his betraying daughter, ex daughter at this point. "Now you have no one! As you should be, your fucking lonely without us!" He roared.
Tara stepped infront of her bestfriend before saying, "She has me and the real fucking family who always took care of her more than your half assed self." making Roses dad want to slap her struggling as the cop was still holding him off.
"They said that your real parents are Klaus and Hayley Fairchild, they died in California due to natural causes." one of the cops down by the house says to both Rose and Tara. "Maybe someday when you grow up you could see their grave." he continued giving her a few documents, and pictures of her real parents with her before they died. They looked beautiful and she could see herself in them. "I'll give you some details as to where they were buried." he added, Rose giving him a smile and nod.
Tara looks at the picture over Roses shoulders, "They kind of look like you," she started. "I bet they can see you right now, finally free." Tara says, as tears start to form in Roses eyes. She was finally free...
FLASHBACK OVER:
— MAY 11, 1999. That was the day her real parents died. After that day, she made it her mission in life, or otherwise a routine to go to Los Angeles and visit her parents grave every anniversary, though, she already lived within that area, it made the whole thing so much easier, and this year, was her 3rd year visiting them. They all drove with Rose to the cemetery where her parents where held. As they got out of her car, Colby grabbed her hand as he looked at her. She was wearing a white blouse with a black skirt. Rosalyn nodded to walk as Colby held her hand tightly through the way, a piece of his heart carrying her through the graveyard as Jake, Tara, Sam, and Corey accompanied her for moral support. They knew that this was such an important and emotional thing for her to do, and they wanted to be her guards in a way to help her.
IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE FALLEN:
HAYLEY FAIRCHILD
MAY 11, 1999
KLAUS FAIRCHILD
MAY 11, 1999
"ONE DAY, CAN CHANGE YOUR WHOLE LIFE FOREVER, APPRECIATE LIFE AT ITS BEST AND FOR WHAT IT HAS TO OFFER,"
A tear escaped her eyes, as she placed her pale hands on the writing, fingers slowing moving across the incarnated letters in-graved into the stone. The tomb was accompanied by a bouquet of flowers of respect from Rose and the group. This year, she bought a red Rose, putting it down by the other Roses she left for them. The picture of her parents with her baby self sitting right beside it. She picked it up to show Colby. It was picture of baby Fray, being held by her father, Klaus, and her mother, Hayley looking at her child in awe. He examined it, their features oddly looking exactly like her, but then realizing they were her parents, so of course that would make sense.
"They looked so young here, and so happy." her voice a bit raspy from the amount of emotions coming out of it. That picture held so much emotions for her to enjoy and endure, and after seeing it again this year, the girl still felt that mourning feeling in her heart, it was held to her for years after finding out that her abusive parents weren't really her parents after all.
"They look kind of like you." Rosalyn smiled as his response, as she remembered Tara saying that to her the day she found out about her real parents.
She looked him loving and replied, "Yeah they do." Rose sighed. The girl looked at the picture once more in awe, before planting a kiss on it, for her, it was yearly tradition, to show them love, as she put it back in the same place as she did before last year, slowly getting herself back up to look at the tomb once more. A small grin worked its way up to her lips, slowing parting as they let it a silent sigh.
Rose and Colby glanced at each other's eyes before his right arm was wrapped around her shoulder, her head slowly making its way to his other shoulder to lay comfortably on, closing her dark brown eyes.
"How are you feeling?" Sam asked as he stood right beside them, placing his hand on her free shoulder.
Rose let the tear fall down her face as she looks down, a frown forming on her sadden smile. "I feel ok, it's just you know, I kind of wished I got to meet them before they died." The Fray girl spoke up, lifting her face up to stay strong. "The cops said that they died when I was very young, which is probably why I don't remember them in my life, though I wished I did." Rose ended, sniffling a bit at the end.
"I think they would've liked you to be happy that your here now." Tara adds, as she stood in-front of her.
She wiped away her tears trying to stay strong infront of them. "I am happy." Rose started, her eyes turning a light pink from her slighly crying. "I-I'm happy because I'm here with you guys, the people I love, and I couldn't thank you guys enough for being here with me." everyone smiled at sweetly, very happy that she felt that way about all of them in general, all hugging her after to give her more love.
After years of feeling like an empty soda can, she finally felt like she had the thing in life she longed for, unconditional love. Without them, Rose probably would be dead by her parents, her adopted parents. She couldn't believe that they could change her life so much, but as she looked up, she saw Alexander looking at her, a small smile appeared on her face seeing him, his hands around his back as he examined her from afar.
Alex could see Hayley and Klaus in Rosalyn, selfless, loving, protective, emotional but strong at the same time, and in the time he knew her parents, he knew that they were going to be perfect parents and apart of his spiritual heart broke thinking about the possibility that if Klaus and Hayley wouldn't have died, they would be such great parents to Rose. But as he sees the people around her, he couldn't help but be proud that she survived even without her parents to guide her for the future, but today wasn't the day to worry about it.
Rosalyn blinked for a moment, the next seeing nothing were Alex was. After they broke the hug, she looked at everyone with a peaceful smile said, "Let's go home." they all nodded at her as they walked away. Rose decided to stay for a little just to really say goodbye.
"Goodbye Mom and Dad, I hope your proud of me, I hope to see you someday in the future." Rose giving Colby the look to go walk away with her. She glanced at his eyes again, for a moment, as he did the same, both giving each other a peaceful smile, Rose tightly holding his hand. "I love you." Rose tells Colby.
Colby grinned as he replied back, "I love you too."
