Chapter 2 💜

The door slammed shut behind Jungkook, leaving an awkward silence behind.

Jin paced the living room, his face red with anger. "How could he just walk out like that? After everything we've done for him?" His voice was sharp, cutting through the silence like a blade.

Taehyung, leaning against the wall, crossed his arms. His expression was a mixture of frustration and disbelief. "What did you expect, Hyung? You told him to 'get lost.' What else was he supposed to do?"

"Enough." Namjoon's tone was firm, but his own irritation seeped through. "Can we stop pointing fingers? This isn't helping anyone."

Seated on the couch, Yoongi stared at the floor, his jaw clenched. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm but laced with guilt. "It's not just his fault. We've all said things we shouldn't have. But what's done is done. Now we need to figure out what to do next."

Hoseok, usually the beacon of optimism, shifted uncomfortably in his seat. His smile was gone, replaced by a furrowed brow. "Maybe... maybe he just needs time. He'll come back. Right?" His question lingered, unanswered.

Jimin, seated on the floor with his knees pulled to his chest, barely whispered, "What if he doesn't?"

"You're one to talk, Taehyung," Jin snapped. "You've been on his side all night, but you didn't stop him from walking out, did you?"

Taehyung's eyes blazed with anger. "Don't put this on me, hyung. You're the one who kept pushing him, even when it was clear he'd had enough!"

"Stop it, both of you," Namjoon interjected, his voice rising. "We're supposed to be adults, but we're acting like kids."

"Adults?" Yoongi's low voice cut through. He looked up, his gaze piercing. "Adults wouldn't let things get this bad in the first place. Do you think micromanaging everyone helps, Namjoon? Maybe you should have paid more attention to him instead of just giving orders."

Namjoon's hands balled into fists at his sides. "And what about you? Sitting back and doing nothing. That helps, right?"

"Guys, stop," Hoseok pleaded, standing up. His voice cracked as he added, "Fighting isn't going to bring him back."

"You always do this, Hoseok," Jimin said quietly, his tone uncharacteristically cold. "You try to brush everything off like it's fine, but it's not. And it hasn't been for a long time."

Hoseok's face fell. "I... I'm just trying to keep us together," he said softly, but no one replied.

Finally, Jimin broke the quiet.

"He left without his phone," he said, his voice trembling. "What if something happens to him?"

Hoseok glanced toward the door, his worry now visible. "What if he's really... done with us?"

Namjoon shook his head, trying to stay pragmatic. "He's upset. He'll cool off and come back. That's what he always does."

Taehyung spoke up, his voice unusually sharp. "Do we even know how he's really been feeling? Have any of us actually noticed what's going on with him?"

No one answered.

Yoongi finally broke the silence. "Maybe we should give him space," he said, though his own uncertainty was clear. "Chasing him down might make things worse."

Jin rounded on him, his anger reigniting. "And what if he gets hurt? He's out there alone, Yoongi. Do you really think we should just sit here and wait?"

Taehyung, who had been staring out the window, suddenly stiffened. "Hyungs," he said, his voice tight. "Look."

The others rushed to his side. Down the street, barely visible in the rain, was a figure walking away. Taehyung squinted. "It's him. I'm sure of it."

The group exchanged frantic glances. Without a word, they grabbed their coats and shoes, rushing out the door after him. The rain poured down, soaking them within moments, but none of them cared.

As they ran, the only thought on their minds was finding their maknae before it was too late.
