Interview #36

Hello, Miss. Natasha...

-Hey there.

How are you today?

-I'm pretty good, thank you.

So I've heard you finished college. May I ask what you major in and what you plan to do with your degree?

-I actually majored in Physics, which was challenging. I always wanted to be able to work with children. So after college I was a teaching assistant and before we moved, I got a job as a grade 1 teacher and I'm absolutely loving it!

College is tough. Can you share some of your highlights with us about your college life?

-Well the most memorable was finally finishing! Though I would have to say that fancy dress party we all went to was heaps of fun. While Sarah loved it, seeing Brian dressed in a short skirt pretending to be Hercules was a tad traumatic though.

What were some tough decisions you had to make as a college student?

-I really wanted to do well in college and I wasn't someone who was naturally gifted. I told myself at the beginning, that the school work always came first before anything. So I didn't go out as much as I wish I had and looking back, I regret leaving the social experiences to the end.

What advice would you give to future college students?

-Hmm... Probably to take the good with the bad. College is an experience to savour, letting the stress of it all stop you from enjoying the good will only make it worse on yourself. Take a day to binge watch netflix or go out with your friends, let yourself live and be happy when you can.

So Damon. What are you two up to lately?

-Well, we recently purchased our first house together in Arizona. He gets to test out video games prior to release, so he's over the moon. He can be annoying to listen to at times but he's happy so I'm happy. We're almost at our 3 year anniversary actually. He has even started to talk about having kids but we're waiting until we settle in more to the new house and jobs. Honestly, it kind of scares me.

Word is that I sense wedding bells in the future. Can you shed some light on this?

-Ohh I hope so! We aren't engaged yet. I don't want to pester him about it but I'd love to marry him! I really didn't notice how much John and I lacked together until Damon. We always make time for each other and even when we fight, we fix it before we go to sleep. I'm so lucky to have someone as amazing as he is.

Your fans want to know: what is Natasha Clarke currently up to now that she's successfully completed college and is working at Granada Primary School?

-Well, right now I'm planning classes. I hope I'm at least the fun teacher. I want to make learning fun and enjoyable for the kids. I know most of my happy memories of primary school was the experiments like volcanoes and the grass head.

Any last words of encouragement or advice?

-Sometimes things feel so bleak you wonder how anything could ever improve. They do! Just give life time to do so. But you also have to help it along some times.
