Interview #35

It's good to have you here today, Damon Murphy. Please tell us a bit about yourself

-Hmm. Well I like games, ok, love games. I have definitely come out of my shell since college. I'm a bit awestruck at where my life is at the moment. I never thought I'd have a girlfriend let alone someone like Tash. Our new place is small but it's our own and it's bloody great to have that too. It's a sad thought to realize you didn't think anyone would want you but that's how I was until her.

What's it like having Natasha as a girlfriend?

-Incredible. We have days where we don't want to be near each other of course. But she's such a happy person that it's contagious. I can see myself spending the rest of my life with her... if she'll have me of course.

Any future plans in the future that you want to share with us?

-Well don't tell Tash but we're actually going to Hawaii for our anniversary. She doesn't have a clue but I'm going to ask her to marry me. I'm so nervous I near have a panic attack thinking about it, I hope I can actually get the words out.

You went to L.A. City College. What did you take up and why?

-I took Computer Science. I've always had this understanding for technology and I knew I wanted a job working with computers. It just always came natural to me and I was happy having something I could understand.

Are you and Brian best friends? If not, who's your best friend?

-Brian and I are still close, definitely he is still my best friend. God, it's sad that my brother in law is my best mate.... I'm making friends at work though.

Your fans wants to know: who was your first crush and why?

-First crush... Well I always had a thing for Velma from Scooby Doo as a kid. She was smart and had friends, I always thought the gang would crumble without her.

You started a relationship by texting. What made you decide to keep texting Natasha after that one night?

-I've thought about that a lot actually. Maybe because she let me down easily compared to how others might have or because I felt like a jerk the next day when I realised I called so late. I think how easy we texted each other was what made me keep it going though, she never made me feel like I was a bother and we started out really good friends because of that.

Do you recommend others to meet and greet via texting?

-No way. Haha. I think I lucked out a bit but I suspect you'll piss a lot of people off if you try randomly starting a friendship. But who knows?

Do you believe in first love at first text?

-Well... generally no. But I know when I saw Tash, I fell pretty hard. But honestly speaking, and don't tell her this, I started falling for her long before we met.

What advice can you give on finding that special someone?

-Don't force it. Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them.

And finally, what is Damon Murphy currently during with his life?

-I'm currently trying to convince the Primary school I'm not a crazy person and get her secret time off for our holiday. They seem wary of me, so I'm starting to visit her at work so they know I'm not a crazy stalker. Cross your fingers that it works.
