Interview # 30

Please, Sir, introduce yourself. Maybe give us fan girls a smile or two.

*Flashes a shy smile before giving a confused glance that could say, is this right?'*

"My name is Lucas Adriel Martin. But everybody calls me Martin."

What is your greatest fear? If you don't mind me asking.

"Of course I don't mind you asking, this is an interview after all." Martin shifts in his seat. "My greatest fear is losing the people I love."

What is your most treasured possession?

"My most treasured possession is my father's car. It's all I have of him that I get to see every day. It means everything to me."

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

"Forgiveness." He narrows his eyes, thinking of something. "I feel like if someone is sorry and they tell you and hey mean it, that should just be the end of it, right?"

On what occasion do you lie?

"Ideally, I'd like to think that I don't lie, but I withhold information...often." He flashes a wink.

"But only to protect people. I wouldn't ever lie for my own personal gain."

What's your superpower, or what's your spirit animal, and why do you think that's what it is?

"My superpower? I've always wanted to be invisible. Or super strength. I think my spirit animal is a fish. I like to think I am a salmon, just trying to push through the bad stuff until I get back home...or to wherever Gabe made off to...I can actually see into the future though. It's okay."

Any love interest or future marriage in place for you?

"Ideally, I still hope that I can get Sabine to finally forgive me...but there's a Spectator at the Brotherhood, Alexa...she's pretty cool. But I don't want to speculate anything. Wait, will Saba be able to see this?"

When have you been most satisfied in your life?

"I think seeing Gabe move one was one of the closest times I've come to a sensation that Gabe would probably call Nirvana."

What things do you not like to do?

"I absolutely hate doing laundry and finding parking. It always takes too long. I just...life would be better without those things, but I love driving. Driving makes me feel great. Especially when I'm sad or missing someone..."

Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.

"Well, recently, I have been studying the properties of Salt with Talwar. It has actually given both of us quite a bit of rank in the Fraternity. I'm pretty proud of that. And as surprised as I am to say this and as scary as he is, Talwar really is whipping the Fraternity into shape. He scares me, but I think his heart is in the right place...and now I'm digressing."

What is your current state of mind?

"Current state of mind..." he pauses and adjusts his glasses. "I am working toward being a beta spectator by the end of this year. I like the Fraternity and what they stand for and I will be able to better protect people when I'm better at resisting the darkness that's here now...Is that a good answer? Was there anything else I should say? Should I smile again for the fans?"

He smiles again, this time, with an added wink.
