In the landscape of Nekoma High, an onyx feline stands out among the litter. They say she's one of the best in the game. Sharp claws, dark locks, a stern face, and a piercing gaze—all these attributes describe the onyx spiker of the court: Mizuki Komatsu.

Her name and face are well-known in the game, a symbol of excellence and fear.

And yet...

Despite her notoriety, Mizuki remains an enigma.

A girl with immense talent, yes.

But with her unmatched skill comes a demeanor as cold as her reputation. Like a statue, she remains unmoved as the world revolves around her, her focus solely on the ball she spikes.

She ignites no personal interest, only the excitement for the success she can deliver. A girl who doesn't just turn heads but makes them avert when she enters.

But when she walked into the Nekoma gym that day, as she had many times before...

A new face stopped and stared, keeping his eyes on her as if she were a shooting star destined to disappear.

A complete opposite, a soothing and gentle nurturer, the pillar of Karasuno, Kōshi Sugawara, maintained a stern gaze on Mizuki.

A new expression appeared on his face. A growing sensation took hold of him, as if he could hear guitars strumming lovely tunes whenever she walked into the room, each step a melody in its own right.

From then on, the ivory chased the onyx, seeking to be the warmth to her cold.
